While doing genealogy research I found my Great grandfather fought with the 22nd Iowa Infantry in the Civil War. I was excited to read of the events in his life up until he was shot in the head at the Battle of Winchester, Cedar Creek. I found him in these pages and was lifted up in the soul.

I am grateful he survived or I wouldn't be here.
