Jack Canfield

Canfield received a BA in Chinese History from Harvard University and a Masters from University of Massachusetts. He has worked as a teacher, a workshop facilitator, and a psychotherapist.
Canfield is the founder of "Self Esteem Seminars" in Santa Barbara, and "The Foundation for Self Esteem" in Culver City, California. The stated mission of Self Esteem Seminars is to train entrepreneurs, educators, corporate leaders and employees to achieve their personal and professional goals. March 19, 2023How sweet and cute! I would read one or two of these stories at night when I didn’t feel like whipping out a book for a long period of time at night and they were all very precious.

These are stories that inspire, create goosebumps, make you cry and make you feel contented. How beautiful the stories in this book are !!! How beautiful the lives of those people's stories told in this book must be. Love at first sight.. I took this book after reading teenage soul, those stories were just the same and now I know I am going to read anothr four of this series at least. Wow... Wow... A man on a train of another country, sees a girl accidentally. Falls in love the same moment. After forty years they are happily married, as the story ends. A boy at high school falls in love with Asian girl, as he says the story to his son of thirty years, and his Asian mother still wears the same perfume. He turns too much to see her from his rocking chair and falls down. After years when she explains how he fell in love with her to their grand children he denies saying he bent down only to take a fallen pencil. A octogenian couple making love at their final breathing moments, and the lady not feeling even a bit embarrassed. Lori Lee writing him a valentine card in Emarld glue, he falls in love but moves away from her coz of his fathers transfer. After years, he tracks her to find she is married, calls her. She remembers this stranger, they decide to meet in a hotel. He arrives early, she didnt. He writes a card in emrald glue, "Thanks for the card. That meant so much to me..." and he leaves. He loves her. She doesnt. They meet after fifty years. He helps her to get in a taxi, she tells, "Thanks for loving me..." Too romantic!!. A couple gets ice cream machine as a weird marriage gift, which unites them after their first fight. THese couple give the same gift to their neighbour marriages... :D Every story is inspiring. Especially the husband who grows rose garden in memory of his wife. I used this story in my novel, I was inspired when I heard about this in a TV program and I got gooesebumps when I read it again. How he faces her absence and how she values their marriage is all included in pages. It is love. I am going to read these again with my wife. I got so many romantic ideas. Perhaps, these are for people who wanted to treat woman equally, only they have love and romance in their lives. And for othrs, you have other fantasy books. Its is romance and it is the book you wanted to read if you ever wanted to fall in love with a book again and again and cherish it forever... Becuase these stories are mostly real life stories that are so romantic than they could be...

Wonderful heartwarming stories of true love, devotion and romance. I bought this book right after I got married 4 yrs ago. A good book to keep at the bedside and to read before bed.

Like every book in the chicken soup series, so heartwarming and gave me more faith in love - even though I’m already a romantic. I also liked that these stories were set at an older era, where there was less tech and more letters. Somehow, this feels more intimate in a love story

I have enjoyed the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and have a collection of them. I am a huge sucker for romance so it's not a surprise that I loved this book as much as I did.

I enjoyed this book very much. Some of the stories were heartwarming, some made me laughed out loud, and some even got me mixed feelings. It felt like reading fiction because the stories were so good but those were real! You see, love is amazing and wondrous.

read this one awhile back and overrall good stories. the thing i like about chicken soup books in general are everyday people's stories about what they have went thru. sometimes full of humor or heartbreak, drama and silliness. just really about life , and like life can be good, bad or indifferent but the main thing is REAL! :) chicken soup books are a nice way to pass the time and relax.

A must read for the ones who are in the search of true love (and its actual meaning).
