Found this book helpful in understanding how people will try to manipulate an interview/conversation to stay only on their talking points, and push a narrative.

This is a second read of this book, which was brought to my attention from an endorsement in the Foreward by Janice Lachance, fromer director of the federal government's Office of Personnel Management, and later, CEO of the Special Libraries Association. Calcagni offers suggestions about creating Communication Messages for any type of interview: News Conferences, Board Meetings, Presentations, Job Interviews, etc. Has some good tips, and practice sessions to prepare for any type of questions that might be received during face to face and phone interactions.
