This is an excellent instructional encyclopaedia on all manual therapies related to myofascial pain, muscle shortening, muscle imbalance, muscle flacidity, positional release and related issues.

Great information, but can be dense. The "Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" by Clair Davies is an easier to digest and more user-friendly manual/summary.

I will never stop referring to this book, which I use to prepare myself for helping my massage clients with baffling or extreme pain. Because it's written for a professional, it is more complete than Davies' book. Dr. Travell is my hero.
