Checkmate By Katherine Kingston Devonne and Raje are space-going pirates who were lovers until a secret drove them apart. Some time later, their past comes back to haunt them and they're forced to compete in an intense and drastic series of contests. The space pirates will have to find a way to work together or they'll end up with a one-way ticket to an alien slave labor camp. As they grow closer and the danger rises, Devonne and Raje know that their desire and newfound love could tear them apart forever. Concubine's Revenge By Arianna Hart Traminian Captain Drake Cantor can't wait to get to the pleasure planet for his vacation. A week of no-holds-barred sex is exactly what he needs to blow off some steam. Unfortunately his plans go a bit astray when a rundown pirate ship attacks him. Space pirate Triona Fallon has come a long way from the frightened concubine she used to be. When she manages to grab Drake, a dreaded Traminian, Triona knows exactly what to do with him. For Drake and Triona, power plays have never been so carnal or so much fun. Crash Course By Dawn Madigan When Chiliad-Kai Jayrt'ian, rogue space pirate, crash-lands on the desert world of Chebrri, he meets the planet's only upside... Val. She's beautiful. She's clever. She's constantly trying to blast extra holes in his anatomy. Val, a young cadet-warrior on the Amazonian colony Chebrri-Taj, found the strange...appealing...male adrift in the desert sands. She's captivated... Chiliad is the first man she's ever seen. He's a barbarian. A domineering, aggravating barbarian. And she can't stop thinking about how good it feels when he kisses her. Fighting a forbidden passion, Val must lead Chiliad back to his ship before all hell and a bunch of angry Amazons break loose.

I’m really very ordinary, you know, so it’s hard to know what to say here. I’m a mom and a grandma. I do laundry and clean house (well, sometimes) and wash dishes like everyone else.

I grew up in New York (the city, that is) and moved to North Carolina some thirty years ago. I discovered books early and buried myself in them as much as possible as a child and a teenager. I still love sinking into a good book and getting swept away.

I’m an unabashed reader of genre books. I love mysteries, romance, science fiction and fantasy. Horror, not so much. I wrote my first short story at the age of ten, but I didn’t take up writing seriously until many years later.

I love the Medieval period and did a great deal of research into it while in college, even though it wasn’t my field. That’s why my historical erotic romances are set in that period.

I dream a lot, too, which makes writing the perfect vocation for me. How else can you claim to be working when you’re sitting in an armchair staring out the window?
