Forced into a marriage… …neither wanted. Passion is their only way out. Ravenna As a child, I dreamed of finding a husband and falling in love. Someone to give my heart to. Someone of my choosing. That will never happen.
Now, I approach the altar to marry a man I’d never met. Six foot four of muscle, he’s imposing standing there. Dangerous. Waiting to take me as his own. My legs tremble at the thought of what he might do to me on our wedding night. Will he be as dominant in the bedroom as he looks? Can I love this man? Will he love me? Wolfe I’m screwed. An arranged marriage to a mafia princess. This was not part of my plan. But this is something I can’t refuse. My hands drip blood and my heart is scarred. I know I can’t give this woman my love. I lost that emotion with the things I’ve done in the underworld. Love makes you weak and gets you killed. Why was I chosen? I don’t know. But I do know one thing. I’m dead meat if I mess this marriage up… Book 4 of 6 in the Married to the Wolfe series.
I'm not too sure how I feel about book 4. I feel a bit torn.
First, it was hot as sin, and I'm all over that. I mean, Wolfe is so possessive of Ravenna and makes it known to her in the most carnal ways.
Second, I'm not a fan of characters trying to make the other jealous by playing games. I guess that may be my age showing, but it really annoys me. So when Venetia suggested Ravenna do that, I hoped against hope that she wouldn't do it. Unfortunately, she does. I mean, it led to my first point, but it just sat wrong with me.
Lastly, I loved the realization they both came to near the end of this book. Even though this was an arranged marriage, they have come to love each other in a very short time, even if they have not realized it. Right now they just know they really like each other and each other's company.
I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book to see where Sage takes these characters next. I'm so excited!
Ravenna is hanging out with Venetia, her best friend. Venetia has some disturbing news about Wolfe’s past. Ravenna is upset that no one told her this news before. She decides to bring Wilmar back to the house to make Wolfe jealous.
Does Ravenna ask Wolfe about his past? Does Wolfe get jealous when Ravenna tells him about moving Wilmar back into their home?
This was the fourth book in the series. And must be read in order. Ravenna’s childhood friend visits and reveals something about Wolfe’s past. Which is very upsetting for Ravenna and taking her friends advice she gets a plan in motion to make Wolfe jealous. Looking forward to the next book. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
