I'm a bit disappointed in this book. I prefer fewer examples that are more detailed and extensive. The book uses very brief examples i.e. if you want to do this specific task, here is how it's done. It's useful if you want to do the specific task but it lacks depth and detail. One thing that was strange is that the book provides dozens of files to presumably work along with but I used a small fraction of them. The majority of the files are useless. The book caters to experienced users which I mostly am. I wouldn't recommend it to beginning or moderate users. It also covers too many programs so the chapters felt like the material was jam packed. I would have preferred fewer programs which would be covered by more chapters and a more gradual learning pace.
