When you ask someone a question they have never been asked before, you get them to think about something they have never thought of before. When they think of something they have never thought of before they tend to then say something they have never said before. Because one’s tongue is a rudder that directs the course of one’s life, saying what they have never said before often results in them doing what they have never done before. This is the power of question-asking. Many people think that great leaders must always have an answer for everything, but I believe that great leaders ask the right questions. In this book, I present questions that activate powerful conversations in multiple aspects of life. This ranges from questions to ask when you want to connect with your spouse after a long day to questions you ask a subordinate who is not taking ownership in a project. I have finally taken the coaching questions that I have been using over the years and illustrated them in book format for coaching and everyday life.
