(Mimicking Shatner’s Cap. Kirk). MUST…. PRE-ORDER…NOW!!!

Visualize Snoopy doing his happy dance and you’ll have a very weak approximation of how excited I am to learn that this is NOT the final book in the series as had previously been the plan.

Michael created an intensely rich and lush universe with The Kurtherian Gambit (TKG), one in which those committed to “doing the right thing,” may not always succeed on their own, but who always find like-minded folks to join the fray along side them. And it is together that they always succeed.

Knowing this SHOULD calm one’s nerves as a reader, but Jamie manages to write scenes that engender the level of suspense, anticipation and adrenaline I would typically only associate with being PERSONALLY chased down an access tunnel by cybernetic killers. Not that that has happened to me…yet. Nor have I… nope… no spoilers here!

Jamie can spin a tale, without a doubt, but it’s the way he draws the reader in that gives his writing such panache or “zing.” If you want some great examples, pick up his Paranormal EMT books. They’re a riot of fun.

Some old friends and utterly unlikely allies show up in this episode. Honestly, I was hoping see the 2 Ranger 2’s show up to assist. That would have been hilarious to see what Jamie did with the two of them in the same fight. I was NOT expecting the guest stars who DID make an appearance, but let’s just say that it was really quite well done and definitely worth a chuckle or two.

These books all are written so well. That you can star this series with any of the books. You’ll miss a bit of the “inside” jokes, but the gist will still work exceedingly well. Similarly, if you aren’t familiar with the TKG Universe, this series offers a wonderful introduction.

With that I’m off to place my pre-order on a book that may not come out until next year. ***Grumble, Grumble…. Siiiigh***

Big battle

Beau and his Lone Wolf Squad have a big battle ahead of them. They are going to try and find the people who are controlling the Kratch and see if they can bring them down. I really enjoyed this book in the series. We got a visit from Ted and friends and an upgrade to some of the operation systems on the Marshall's outpost. I'm looking forward to more books in the series as I love the characters.

Impressive Summation

This sixth installment manages to bring all the major elements together and resolves all primary story threads by the end of the book. Continued development for existing characters, introduction and development of some new cast and an overall positive spin by the book’s end where we learn that there will be more yet to come. This has been an entertaining and enjoyable experience and I look forward to continuing.

Enjoyable read

The whole series has been a fun read. The protagonists are likable and the bad guys are really bad. I'm looking forward to Frontier Justice coming out in late December.

Family

Federation and Queen intervention can really make a difference. It was very interesting how everything was tied back together. I was also surprised as to who was sent. Thank you Jamie for a great read!

The Marshall's staff...

Continues to grow as they expand out of the Tardex System. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
