Waiting for the english language reprinting of this spanish comic by IDW publishing is like christmas present to me. I wait a whole year and its crazy fun to read but the flaw is this volume was 155 pages long but it felt like 50 pages. Normally i read a comic volume slowly to enjoy it max, it takes an hour.

Torpedo writing, humor, pace is so fast paced that you cant help but reading the same pace they throw the written, drawn jokes in your face. The sexual humor they way men, woman are drawn, written in sexual situations would make even Benny Hill blush. Sometimes this series has subtle humor, puns that feel original and sometimes its raw, hardcore humor like my fav brit comedian Benny Hill. Jokes that would sound, look stupid if you didnt read in a context.

I was surprised there is a volume 5 coming by IDW mostly because i have chosen not look up many original volume there was in Spanish, don't want to see the end of this series coming. Thats horrible to know in this case. IDW they are doing an important culture work to make this truly classic humor comic series available for us who cant read original spanish series. I cant be mad at them for release this volume 3-4 months behind their original December 2011 release and making me wait when they are the only choice to read this series.

I want to give this book five stars, just because seeing anything drawn by Jordi Bernet translated into English is worth that much. This was a good read, but maybe not quite as good as the last volume, which had one much longer story in it. This volume was all short stores, and read very quickly. It's still worth reading. This is the same Torpedo as before; sly humor, abusive "hero," and a beautifully-drawn period piece. Some of the humor is pretty raw, I wouldn't be surprised if this also angered some people.

I don't know why you'd start with volume four (although I suppose you could, since the stories are self-contained), but if you've read the first three, keep reading.

Still a good read after 3 preceding volumes, but the stories are starting to feel like they are running out of steam. Some situations are starting to feel a bit repetitive. Two standout stories that I enjoyed the most are one where the title character loses his voice and finishes the segment making incoherent growling noises while continuing to murder as many of his enemies as possible; also liked the one that showed Torpedo making a hit but without any dialogue at all.

The art is solid. The guys are perfectly evil, the guns are rendered very realistically and the women are beautiful even though he only draws one type with insanely thin waists and mammoth breasts but they don't appeal to me in anything but their faces and legs.

The story is as violent as you'll find and Luca is no stranger to raping women so this is for those who don't let real life scruples effect what they read. IT'S DIRTY.

Anyone who enjoyed the first three installments of this series will likely enjoy this one as well. However, I found it on the whole a little bit to repititious and more of the same we know from earlier.

A 3.5

Decent, but from the previous ones, you expect something disturbingly graphic needlessly. Which this thankfully averted, but hard to drop that feeling.

Art and humour in this is better as well as more action.

Torpedo is eager for vengeance. Good follow-up for this fun character 🤩🎯
