The reconnection is about a man who quits is job as a successful chiropractor because he realizes he has an extraordinary gift. In this book Dr. Erik Pearl tells you about his amazing experiences about him miraculously healing people, his life, how his gift has progressed and how to use this gift yourself. He tells of how he’s healed people with lifelong disabilities and how he healed aids and even caner and it is truly inspiring and funny at times even though at some points in time you feel like he is a bit negative. It is still a good book that may make you question the way you live your life and what you want to do with your life. One of the things I love most about this book is how Dr. Erik Pearl not only tells you how to use the energies but he also talks about the scientific proof and evidence. Which really causes you to wonder about and want to pursue this gift but most of that happens in the first part of the book. The second part of the book is more about how to use the energies and actually heal people which I found awesome because you actually feel it and know it’s really there. He talks about feeling the energies and not forcing them and he talks about how he doesn’t believe in bad energy and negative entities which I found a little weird. I mean what kind of energy does he think murderers have good energy?

I was profoundly drawn to Dr Eric Pearl when saw his brief appearance in The Living Matrix. Researched and got his book, was compelled to fast-track to the back sections then slowly read the rest at leisure. From his book, what he teaches and conveys, I can't help but am overjoyed to read and learn further truths that has taught my soul a thing or two. Simplicity and truth is what Eric Pearl keeps anchoring in, which resonates with my soul right to the core, and confirms and reaffirms so much I feel and know, but that often gets challenged by many older more established spiritual practices. My deepest respect for a man who is a highly evolved soul, enlightened, though he himself would not use that word. He is one who has come in this lifetime to bring this great leap forward for mankind, especially in the area of healing, but in the shape of a very down-to-earth man, who can rebuke and break down all walls that 'spirituality' has unconsciously grown to surround itself. It is most amazing, this age and time - wisdom and evolution of consciousness come from every corner of the globe, through all shapes and forms, to continue to help humankind evolve and heal. An outstanding book, well-written, again in such simplicity and truth, that people who don't get it, simply don't because of their own walls of ego. Dr Pearl's wisdom and contribution to healing and our soul evolution is profound. I would be most honored and thrilled if I can ever get to meet him in person one day, especially to enjoy his humor. Thoroughly enjoyed the book!

This book has blown me away!
I’ve completed trainings in several energy healing modalities and always wondered about the sometimes intricate ‘rituals’ which needed to be followed in order to offer healing to a client. Reconnection has no need of these. Please do read this book and see what you feel.../...think! Xx

This is a book that could actually change your life.

Dr. Pearl was a successful chiropractor when he began to have strange experiences (he had in fact since birth, and probably before, had strange experiences).

He began to treat people by waving his hands intuitively through their aura, after which they moved their head, eyes and other parts of the body in unexpected ways, and also channelled messages for him. Miracles happened – his patients were cured of incurable ailments.

Pearl had been advised to get hold of a moldavite crystal, and it turned out this stone had the ability to open up communication with angels, entities and beings from other planets. Pearl states: “I put the stone in my pocket, and the channelling started.”

The messages channelled by the various patients were the same:
1) We are here to tell you to continue what you are doing.
2) What you are doing is bringing light and information to the planet.
3) What you are doing is reconnecting strands.
4) What you are doing is reconnecting strings.
5) You must know that you are a master.
6) We’ve come because of your reputation.

Now he is telling us how to connect with this energy, or rather he says that this will happen merely by our reading the book. This has happened to me, and I was also fortunate to get help and healing from a friend, which has strengthened my connection. I feel the energy in my hands, and sometimes in my head. When connected, sometimes my right foot moves involuntarily, and I feel a coldness in my right leg, or both legs.

With this “method” you do not send energy, but receive it. Pearl states that it is not “faith healing”, and it greatly surpasses “energy healing”. Reconnective healing is not a technique. It transcends technique. You are this healing energy, and it is you. It emanates from you the moment you focus your attention on it. You work with it by noticing it, by allowing your attention to fall onto it.

The book includes instructions whereby we can heal ourselves and carry out distant healing.

If you don’t feel you completely get the hang of the “method”, you might be lucky to find someone in your area who can carry out “the Reconnection” for you. This will connect you with the healing energy.

This important book is clearly and amusingly written. Pearl has his own distinctive, humorous style. I highly recommend that you read it.

A critical review

A great story and revelation of Dr. Pearls experiences with how to invoke healing. It’s got some great tips for practicing with energy, Yet this book falls short of convincing me (an experienced energy practitioner) that any person can simply take a weekend course and voila, they can start working on other people. I don’t doubt the power of the healing experiences presented in this book and how it can promote healing. It just reads like a Westernized version of The sciences and knowings about healing and quantum physics passed down from ancient sages and gurus over thousands of years to harness the power of connection with the source energy. To truly harness what this book describes is to raise the individuals awareness of self to a higher degree and this takes time and consistent efforts to master. Although there may be some people who are naturally inclined to this healing practice and might hit the ground running, most people need to work on cleansing of the self by utilizing something like this reconnection method along with persistent self reflection through practices leading towards self-realization. Then over some time (varies person to person), one can truly master harnessing the true power of the techniques described in this book. As I read through this book, all the descriptions and the technical explanations relating to quantum physics describes Chi energy or prana that is what Chi Gong, Tao Hands or Reiki harness for healing.

Witty, humorous, and thoughtful. Can be read in an evening, barring interruptions. The first third of the book is primarily biographical which provided a more personal connection with the author. The rest of the book describes Reconnective Healing and its meaning. Then finally, Dr. Pearl explains the "how tos", giving some basic tips to practice on.

As Dr. Pearl suggests I am rereading the book now and will most likely read it a few times more (between loaning it to friends).

I bought the Spanish edition from Amazon requested by my Argentine husband who has begun to do some of the suggested exercises.

I dearly hope that energy healing will replace allopathic western medicine and eventually put corporate health care back with the archaic practices of the past century!!

Can’t finish this. The dude is basically claiming to be the second coming of Christ and it seems like a money grab to me and most likely fake. The experiences of his mothers death were the best part but the rest was just the author talking about how great he is. Like idgaf about you tell me about your mom. She’s the real hero here honestly.

Pearl is either deliberately conning people, or otherwise he truly believes his own delusions. I hope that more people will begin to see through this classic case of 'The Emperor and his new clothes'.

Interesting idea on the idea of healing yourself and others. Almost like meditation, but instead of focusing on the breath, you're focusing on the feelings in your hands. Enjoyed reading this, we'll see how it effects my future massages

Interesting. Entertaining. I do wonder about Pearl's sources from which he obtained this power of healing. I do not doubt the power that Eric Pearl claims was given to him by "the Universe", which he identifies as meaning God to him, but at the same time it doesn't seem authenic to me as really being from God. I do believe in different modalities of healing. And I believe that our bodies, that plants, and that animals are all capable of healing themselves and others in more subtle, less dramatic ways. I believe in the power of God and Jesus Christ to heal in dramatic ways. This kind of healing would seem to come from a more powerful source. With all of the supernatural elements contained in the story from a fortune teller, to ghosts, to spirits speaking through people, and more, I am not convinced that this kind of healing is the power of God. It just doesn't seem to be the way that God works. I am interested in discussion.

Amazingly humorous, and thoughtful. This is my second read of this amazing book that was brought back into my awareness by a friend. There is quite a bit in this book. The first part of the book is about Dr Pearl's journey. The rest of the book describes Reconnective Healing and its meaning. Then finally, Dr. Pearl explains the process, giving some basic tips to for one to practice on. Dr Pearl's teachings certainly resonated with me as I have been working with energy for over thirty years. Whilst I can draw parallels to what he does and my own work, there something independently unique about his approach that is well worth investigating if it resonates with you.

I feel conflicted about this book. I think the ultimate message is a valuable and important one, but the way in which it's conveyed by the author can at times be negative. Pearl strikes me as condescending generally, and even often snide toward alternate styles of energy work.

This really isn't necessary. There are many ways to heal; no one modality is supreme. Ego always turns me off in any event, and I suppose that's why I gave this book only 3 stars.

This will probably sound "woo-woo" to many people. Eric Pearl's personality may put some people off. I enjoy his humor, as he takes the "mystery" out of energy healing. I read the book, felt the energies, took the healing levels one and two, and experienced "the reconnection". I have felt a major shift in my consciousness. If you feel the energy in your hands as you read the book, pursue it.

The Reconnection is a technique, just like every other form of externally activated healing process. I dont think there is anything inherently wrong with this. Technique is simply a teaching protocol, a way of introducing the learner to a universe of possibilities. The strength of The Reconnection is in the introductory foundation it lays, but there are numerous other techniques just as effective but this in no way takes away from what Pearl is offering.

This book is a mixed bag. He has some good ideas but he's cocky and condescending enough that he dismisses other healing methods without having any knowledge of what he's saying. His attitude got to me. It's like his attitude about healing is that the only real way to heal is through his method. I find this to be a pretty close-minded view. Oh well. So, there is some good here, but a lot of attitude, too.

Some things about this book were interesting and different, but I almost didn't make it through the first part of the book, because it was nothing but EGO (I was special from the day I was born kind of stuff). Later in the book, it was more balanced. I would recommend the book, but be aware of the first half.

Eric Pearl is a character. I genuinely enjoyed his book and learning from him at the Los Angeles conference. Reconnective Healing is powerful stuff. A good read for anyone interested in energy healing. His work is modern and alive.

I think this should be labeled as science fiction ,when I was reading the first chapters of how he discovered his talent and was still questioning his new experiences I wondered how he never referred to them as delusions or hallucinations ?!

I have literally used this energy to heal people using his methods. First was a broken disc in a neck, then a torn hamstring, then broken ribs, then flu, then sciatica, them ear infection.... you get the point

Relația mea personală cu conceptul de reconectare, durează din timpul programului meu de doctorat la Universitatea Harvard, la sfârșitul anilor 1960. Acolo am făcut cunoștință cu seminariile în domeniul auto-reglării și vindecării, conduse de unul dintre cei mai holistici oameni de știință și medici din prima treime a secolului trecut.
În 1932, profesorul Walter B. Cannon, de la Universitatea Harvard, și-a publicat volumul clasic, „Înțelepciunea corpului”. Dr. Cannon descria modul în care corpul își menține sănătatea fiziologică – de la grecescul hael, care înseamnă „întregime, integralitate” – printr-un proces pe care el l-a denumit „homeostază”. După dr. Cannon, capacitatea corpului de a-și păstra integritatea homeostatică presupune două lucruri: că procesele de răspuns din tot corpul sunt conectate și că informația care circulă prin această rețea de răspuns de înaltă viteză, este fluidă și exactă.
De exemplu, dacă legăm un termostat la o sobă, astfel ca, atunci când temperatura din cameră ajunge sub nivelul pe care îl setăm pe termostat, semnalul de la termostat să aprindă soba – și invers – atunci temperatura din încăpere se va menține constantă. This book was recommended to me by a practitioner of energy healing. I'd attended a lecture and asked what book she would recommend. If one is interested in the topic, this is it. I'd read another that focused on chakras but this one is far more reader friendly and useful.
The first half of the book was his story. That part is an easier read. Like the practitioner I heard, his story involves a near death experience. His mother nearly died at the time of his birth. The second part is more a "how to". It literally can't hurt. He does not recommend that his patients discontinue other treatments. Dr. Pearl, a former chiropractor who practices and teaches energy healing, recommends reading this book three times. I look forward to going back and gaining further understanding.
