My dad read this to me when I was a kid. I still remember him doing the voices of the characters, especially Little Richard. Great memories.

With some adorable color and black and white illustrations this little Rabbit book has its own place in my heart. With squirrels in the attic and a porcupine as a friend it isn't hard to argue that this is a different Rabbit book than we have seen before.
They fish together, wear polkadot pj's, meet a baby skunk, and have wonderful adventures. But best of all Little Richard has very loving parents, which is just so sweet it makes my heart swell. ( yea I know it's sickeningly sweet but in this day and age, it's what kids need....)

if I had to pick a favorite book, this is it. I have had it ever since I can remember. I have read it dozens and dozens of times. I was so young when I first read it that some of it didn't really make sense to me. when I had nightmares as a kid, this is what I read to soothe myself and go back to sleep. I love the illustrations, I love the stories. I love the little square size of it and the green on the cover.
