It’s race day. An expectant hush falls over the crowd. Cameras pan down pit road as a lone voice prays, then someone sings the National Anthem. When the command rings out, the thunderous roar of engines makes your heart pound. Whether you’re trackside or watching from your sofa, it’s time to go racing!
In Race Fans’ Devotions to Go, author Beth Bence Reinke shares observations about drivers and racing as well as stories about her experiences at the track. Each of the 31 devotions illustrates the similarities between motorsports and life and ends with a “pit stop” – an idea to make your life more fulfilling.
Race Fans’ Devotions to Go is part of the Women’s Devotions to Go series. Devotions to Go offers month-long devotions on a variety of topics.
Beth Bence Reinke is the mom of two sons and a registered dietitian who writes about food, health and nutrition. She is also the author of Fruit Lovers’ Devotions to Go and several children’s books. I'm truly enjoying all the "devotions to go" series that I have been reading on my Kindle! My husband is a NASCAR fan and Jimmie Johnson is his favorite driver. I read one (sometimes more!) to him as we finished our quiet time in the morning and drink our tea (first "devotion to go" I read was Tea Lovers!!) and coffee. Awesome way to bring us closer! Thanks!
