Pamela J. Olson grew up in small-town Oklahoma and studied physics at Stanford University. After graduating, she bartended and traveled, winding up at a Russian summer camp on the Black Sea, in a Palestinian village in the occupied West Bank, and working for a Palestinian presidential candidate in Ramallah. She now lives in New York and published her first book, Fast Times in Palestine, in May 2011. (pamolson.org)
