ARC Review of The Arrogant Billionaire by Samantha Skye
* * * * *
A sweet and steamy romance blossoming from one fake arrangement and unravels into a real relationship that both lovers want and need. With a few extra dashes of danger, family drama, monsters, and love fo others, this book is sure to be on your reading list.
Emily loved her job and her work place, so to have it threatened by some big macho man wanting to tear it down - offering very little for it in my opinion - she's prepared to fight for the school and the kids in it who depend on them.
She just never expected the Neanderthal from the bar the other night to be in the room as she worked her magic.
Ben could not get the woman from the bar out his head, the Mrs. Doubtfire with the nice rear and sassy mouth. So when she walks in on ther other side of the table from his client, he's shocked and desperate to want to know her more.
He never planned for her to become her fake fiance.
Now they are stuck in this boat together, but soon, neither seem to mind.
Bonding over paint, swimming lessons, fancy dinners and sexual tension, things are bound to stir up the pot when their fake relationship summons real danger.
Loved this read. Stayed up late into the night slipping into its pages and not wanting to put it down. I have had my fair share of romances falling under this trope, but I can say without uncertainty that this read is one of the ones at the top of the list.
Emily is a wonderful mother who has gone through hell. She will do anything to protect Rosie from the monster she was once terrified to love, and when this man comes back she has got more back bone than she did then. The woman is a saint on top of it. Not just with her job and the little kids she teaches who truly trust her, but that she volunteers further and makes sure every single child with different challenges gets the same equal amount of fun and learning opportunities.
Ben seeing Emily in action as a single mother and a teacher is something that spikes a further interest in her, but also develops something in him that I love seeing. As he too takes part in the class room and other places, he has gone from rocking up in expensive suits completely lost to knowing what to expect and having a good time. His relationship with Rosie that develops with Rosie is sweet as a confectionery factory and one of my favourite parts of the read.
So many arrogant ant abusive men I want to punch in this book. One particular woman I was begging to get her karma. Sasha, get a drink and drown, you thirst cheating gold digger who can't take a bloody hint. George, you are a saint.
Highly recommend this read people! It's not too dark on some themes. Not bland. Gives you all the drama. Plus, the steamy sense do no disappoint.
