Festivals of Faith: Reflections on the Jewish Holidays

Rate this book
Selected from sermons delivered over fifty years as a Rabbi at the Jewish Center in New York City, these talks by Lamm (currently the chancellor of Yeshiva U.) are grouped according to eleven holidays. Some discuss a particular section of the Torah while others are broader in theme, sometimes commenting on contemporary events such as the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s or Operation Entebbe. Although known for his delivery which captivated audiences, these written versions are equally compelling. An index of Biblical and Rabbinic sources is included. Distributed by KTAV Publishing House.
