Reading this book makes you feel like you were doing a psychology test, but with a different approach. It is very interesting. Well, who doesn't want to understand better about who we are and how the way we are thinking? i haven't read the first edition of Kokology, but i think it won't give you any effects since each book has different questions:)

This book helps us to understand our characters better with intriguing questions, then we have to answer those questions directly. After that, we can read the explanation of our characters based on the answer we had choose. I was amazed because some explanations are very TRUE about me. Even some explanations are able to describe me better, because there were times where i couldn't able to describe myself in words, what i'm thinking or how i think, to other people. Of course, if you really want the honest explanation of yours by reading (or playing?) this book, you have to follow the rules, especially for not reading the explanations unless you're already answering the questions on the book first.

But this book also lacks in several explanations. Some explanations for me are quite unreasonable, even some of the questions somehow too weird and don't make sense. Well, it is still a very interesting self psychology book you have to read:))

Results are pretty accurate like 100% saying "Yes, this is me." But, there are times that I do not agree with the results or maybe I just haven't discovered and keep asking myself "Is this really me?". After all, this book help for self-discovery in fun and interesting way. Best way for getting to know you or your friends.

A fun book of this and that. I would take the analysis with a grain of salt.
I believe our actions are motivated by non-linear cues and proportionately, many a times my responses to questions swung between one or more options.
Regardless, some chapters did seem overwhelmingly accurate and insightful.
For what its worth, I would revisit it again, to check contrast in evaluation.

اولش فکر کردم کتاب جالبی باشه ولی بعد از خواندن مقدمه یکی از اون کتابهای روانشناسی دراومد که می خواهد یه چیزی رو بهت ثابت کنه،از این دست کتابها اصلا خوشم نمیاد ،دلیلش هم خود کتاب نیست بلکه کاربردی هست که افراد با خوندنش ازش استفاده میکنن و فکر میکنن خوب حالا میتونیم با آموخته هامون بقیه رو قضاوت ونصحیت و آموزش بدیم

Self help and discovery book and it tells me about my personality and wishes as well as the things that is hidden about me. From choosing to hoping it tells about my personality. The author has correlate choosing a house and situation to the type of personality I make and decisions I choose. This book has many interesting discoveries one can easily read this book with ease during a boring moments.

I own the first book in this series and have enjoyed reading through it with family and friends over the years.

This book is more of the same sort of amusement. I don't know how deep these little scenarios get or how seriously you should take them, but they're a great time-passer.

This book did an excellent job of keeping my sister (and driver) awake on the ~8 hour drive from Cheyenne Wyoming to Santa Fe New Mexico.

This book is full of fun personality quizzes. These quizzes use stories and vivid imagery to probe the depths of your subconscious desires. Some of the results are silly and inaccurate, but some made me reevaluate how I think about myself. Overall, this book is a lot of fun to read, and I discovered some things about myself along the way.

A fun way to discover more about yourself

Kokology sehe ich eher als ein Spiel, welches man mit Freunden spielt und weniger als wirkliches Abtauchen in die Tiefen der Seele. Bei uns kommen die Kokology Bücher jedenfalls immer ins Spiel, wenn man mit Freunden zusammensitzt und Spaß haben will. Die Stimmung ist ausgelassen und keiner nimmt es zu ernst.
Gerade für den fröhlichen Abend ist dieses Buch sehr amüsant. Es geht weniger um die Erforschung von Freundschaften, Karriere und Geld. Bei diesem Band ist es alles andere als ausgewogen und es konzentriert sich doch sehr stark auf Beziehungen und Sex.
Wer hier aber etwas Ernsthaftes erwartet wird enttäuscht werden. Der erste Band war wesentlich ausgewogener in den Themen und tiefsinniger. Daher würde ich immer eher den ersten Band empfehlen.
Wer aber, wie ich, Lust hat ein wenig mit Freunden zu lachen, alles nicht zu ernst nimmt und bereit ist ein Stück seiner Seele zu zeigen, der wird sehr viel Spaß haben.

Positiv:
- Mit dem Buch kam viel Freude auf

Neutral:
- Es geht in diesem Buch sehr viel um Sex
- Ich empfand es eher als Buch zum Lachen mit Freunden, als wirkliche Selbsteinschätzung
- Mal ging die Deutung voll ins Auge und manchmal traf sie absolut ins Schwarze
- Der erste Band war wesentlich ausgewogener was die Themen betraf und tiefsinniger

Negativ:

very informative psychology book. it's a series of psychological games on topics ranging from attitudes about family, friendship, love, finance, work, etc. it usually starts with an intro on the question or a bit of a test and followed by a set of defined answers. you will also be required to draw or write on the book itself or a piece of paper. then comes the revelation of what each answer meant. sometimes, the explanation matches what you believe in or what you want to believe with your self while at times it's totally not what you ought to be. or it's the other way around, the author wants to share what type of person you are because he simply wants to discover yourself.the revelation is hilarious for some. the author, by the way,is a japanese professor and suggested that the book be read/play along with your friends to discover their personalities as well.

One of my friends told me that I'm a control freak, but of a different kind. I don't want or need to control other people, but I am extremely aware and deliberate with my personal choices: I control myself.

This book simply made me realize how self-assured I was as a person. For the most part, the answers I made were consistent with my perspectives, beliefs, and personality. While that makes me unusual, I have never regretted being myself.

Buku ini isinya semacam cerita, terus di akhir cerita itu ada pertanyaan dan kita akan diceri 4 opsi pilihan, manakah yang paling mencerminkan diri kita sebenarnya. asik sih..kalo dimainkan rame2, kalo sendiri..bosen juga. Palagi ternyata jawaban dari pilihan kita (menurut gw) ga gitu sesuai dengan diri gw.

This has got to be one of the most engaging reads I've done this year. From the time I borrowed it, I was reading it in the train, bus, on the road, on my bed, following a short interval of sleep, on my couch till I finished it. I haven't read something so exciting as this in years!
I will probably get Kokology 1, and hope to read other works like this.

Kokology 2 ga banyak beda (dan ga kalah amazingnya) dgn kokology 1. Masih menawarkan konsep psikologi dengan ketidaksadaran. I like this book karena ga mudah menemukan buku yg bisa lo ajak "maen-maen" selagi membicarakan hal yg sebenernya bisa mengungkap kyk gimana kepribadian loe.

Buku menarik berisi kuis psikologi, dengan penjelasan jawaban yg mencengangkan krna sering seolah bisa membaca karakter kita. Yang mencengangkan krna hubungan antara pilihan jawaban dengan penjelasannya entah bgmn hubungannya. Bagus dibaca bersama orang terdekat, atau berkelompok, jdi seru deh !

I think these kind of psychological question is always interesting. We are unconsciously driven to give answer to these question which reflect our own personality. Which is really good tools to make us understand more about ourselves.
