More soap opera turns occur in the office romance where the corporate executive sexually harasses his secretary in a . . . cute and wholesome way?

We meet another member of the exec's family and uncover a few more memories of the childhood kidnapping that haunts the secretary. The more juvenile aspects include a visit to an amusement park, a sports day, and a one-dimensional romantic rival.

I'm still happy with the level of cheesiness at the moment, and I have another volume on hand for tomorrow.

We're getting into the part of this story that I absolutely loved, and that's the mystery surrounding Miss Kim's past! Well, not just hers, but Youngjun's too! (Though his is definitely a BIGGER mystery than Miss Kim's…)

Another fantastic volume! I LOVE the date they go on and all the "sweeping" Youngjun is doing because as this volume shows, it is indeed working! LOL! Also really enjoyed the Sports Day event and how Youngjun is starting to realize he may not just be sweeping, but also that he is falling for Miss Kim's charms.

I forgot how much I didn't like Youngjun's brother the first time I read this series digitally, and while I don't think I feel quite as strong a dislike for him, I'm really not fond of his character. There is just…something. I don't know what it is, but he doesn't put me at ease the same way does Youngjun (and that's even WITH his narcissistic ways LOL). I think this time I am trying to be more open to him because with the little bit we are seeing into these men's pasts, neither of them had it easy and are still dealing with past trauma.

I really really love the art in this series! I don't know how different it is from other manhwa, but I just love how the expressions are drawn on the characters' faces and how you can really feel their emotions.

Definitely another wonderful volume that maybe isn't quite as funny as the first, it is no less wonderful of a read! Can't wait for the next volume!

Ohhh and I just love Park. He’s hilarious and his colorful clothing choices are so fun. Idk why his wife left him. I’ll take him!!! Haha

OMG I love this series! There was one point while reading the volume that I gasped so loudly I scared my sister and I had to put the book down for a second to collect my thoughts.

I need to track down the rest of this series ASAP.

In Summary
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? continues the rom-com with YoungJun simultaneously creating and flubbing up Miso’s dream date. However, halfway through the volume, the tone shifts from humor to mystery as YoungJun’s older brother enters the story. Phobias, nightmares, and intensely bad blood between the brothers will soon have you pondering What’s Wrong with the Lee Brothers?

The Review
Armed with survey information and his vast resources, YoungJun pulls out all the stops in creating Miso’s perfect date! But YoungJun being his self-absorbed YoungJun self manages to sabotage the mood more than once. Like a good romantic comedy, our main couple is never quite able to get in step with each other, yet each does manage to see the other in a romantic light, if at different moments.

In the end, Operation: Sweep Miso Off Her Feet doesn’t do the job of convincing her to be his girlfriend. However, it still serves a purpose. Shortly thereafter, Miso goes on a blind date and later gets asked out by a handsome coworker. Though both men would make excellent boyfriend material, Miso can’t help but compare them to YoungJun. All part of YoungJun’s grand scheme… though it’s a rom-com so Miso’s comparisons don’t always portray YoungJun in a positive light.

Then the narrative shifts away from dating comedy to phobias and dark memories. Miso gets distracted from her search for Mr. Right when her friend’s journalist fiancé discovers a possible connection between the mysterious boy of her past and an incident hushed up by YoungJun’s family. At the same time, YoungJun’s older brother returns to Korea for the first time in three years. Unlike YoungJun, this Lee son resides in France, has nothing to do with the family business, and has a charming personality. Oh, and he and YoungJun hate each other’s guts. It’s an enmity that goes back to their childhood, and those elements combined with glimpses of our characters’ dreams create a compelling element of mystery in the story.

I am still enjoying this quite a bit. Youngjun's plan to sweep Miso off her feet has commensed and and it is possible it is working. She goes on a date with a man that is thoughtful, but she finds herself comparing her Youngjun. She does the same when she fills in for the three legged race in the Yuil Group Unity Sports Day, with another male named Mr. Ko. He is supposedly handsome and a top pick for the company's popularity contest. She asks her on a date. They complete the race, with Younjun watching. He crushed a bag in his hand and declares this to be the last sports day. He walks and sprains his ankle (I do wonder if it was done on purpose so that Kim would pay him more)

Miso begins to not only have romantic feelings for her boss, but she suspects that maybe he is the boy from her dreams. She has dreams where there a boy with her and she is trying to get away from what is thought to be a spider. She comtemplates if she was kidnapped or went missing when she was younger though her sisters tell her nothing like that ever happened. This could stem from why she hates spiders so much. When she sees a scar on her bosses ankle, she begins to wonder if his phobia of cable ties stems from an event that happens in his childhood.

She finds out that her boss has an older brother and they do not have a great relationship. There is some animosity. Though she is unsure where it seems from. They brothers do not hate each other but they dont like each other either.

I did laugh towards the end when Youngjun yells directions at her to go to a coffee shop and get two burgers from the nearest fast food place and then get two Americano from a coffee shop he doesnt like. When she leaves, his brother walks in. He did that so that they wouldnt meet. Though they have earlier in the volume, neither of them know.

As someone who has watched the the series, I know what event happens. I am curious if Miso will unlock a memory that causes her to passout like it did in the show.

I was going to watch the first season of Interview with the Vampire, when I got home tonight, but I may rewatch What's Wrong With Secretary Kim instead.
