Rate this book
** Warning : Andromeda’s Vengeance is the third book in the Andromeda's Account series and this description may include spoilers for book one, The Bartered Soul, and book two, The City of New Aphros.**

Nerissa Faelan never wanted to be queen. After the usurper Dargan Blackwell killed the last queen and sent his soldiers to wipe out the priestesses from the temples, her only thought was to survive without being noticed. After sailing away with Captain William Lennox she wasn’t sure she would see Selennia again, let alone be returning to claim her birthright.

Left reeling from the revelations of a fateful winter in New Aphros under the tutelage of Madame Salome, Nerissa finds no other option than to take a stand against the spread of Blackwell’s cruelty if she and her friends wish to ever live in peace.

After almost a decade as King, Dargan Blackwell still struggles to gain the loyalty of the country he took by force. When Nerissa offers the unthinkable, will the superstitions of the common people encourage him to reply to her offer? Or will the machinations of pirates and priestesses fall prey to his cruel whims?

With Lennox, her sister priestesses, and their loyal crew, Nerissa now seeks allies to unite behind her power and return to retake Selennia and unleash her vengeance.

Andromeda's Vengeance is the third book in Andromeda’s Account. Fans of fantasy, historical fiction, romance, pirates, and magic will enjoy the conclusion to the trilogy.

THE END OF AN ERA.

I cannot believe it's over 😭

It's hard to write a spoiler-free review for the last book in a trilogy so all I'll say is this: the final book does not disappoint and brings this excellent series to a close so beautifully. I'm so thankful I discovered @lb_the_author and super excited to see what she does next!

A few things I love about the last book (and the Andromeda's Account series in general):

- priestesses and pirates ☠️
- stepping into your power 💪🏻
- divine feminine energy ✨
- nods to Greek mythology 🏛️
- elemental magic 🔥
- chat sh!t, get hit 🗡️
- found family ❤️
- gorgeous settings 🌴

The epilogue in this book = happy tears. Also, those little Easter eggs. IYKYK.

THE FINAL INSTALMENT, ANDROMEDA'S VENGEANCE, IS OUT 11TH JULY!

[This is the third book in Andromeda’s Account and this review contains some spoilers if you have not read the first two books.]

This book. THIS BOOK.

At the end of The City of New Aphros, I was so ready to see Andi wipe the floor with Blackwell. Mop up his gross friend and followers while she’s at it, too. And damn did she do that and with every ounce of the female rage for her and anyone ever stepped over or held down by those who’d see them subdued. Not happening in this story, not anymore.

In Andromeda’s Vengeance we see Andi* sail back to Selennia with her pirate captain and now a full support of their friends and fellow pirate captains united to take care of Blackwell’s usurping reign. She was pulled from hiding in the first book and given true freedom after almost a decade. In book two she learns her true birthright and is given the power she should have had passed down. And in book three, she’s ready to free her home land of the man who stole everything from her. The she-wolf is here and she’s feral. Her bite is worse than her bark and GOD do I love to see it.

The emotion written into this whole story has been done so beautifully. Andi and Lennox are one of my all time favorite book couples. The first two books had a bit more spice but what we get between them the whole time is just burning with the deepest admiration and love for each other. Benson has written some of the most beautiful spice I’ve read. It’s seggsy, yes, and in good doses, but it has so much FEELING to it. And then when Andi goes feral, Lennox is there watching her with so much pride and probably adjusting his pants a little too. And I live for the men who are ruthless when they need to be and also so passionate and love so fiercely. Turned on when their woman shows the power and fights back. They’ll protect those they love until the end but they also know that the women they love can take care of themselves. They trust that their partner knows what they’re doing and of course assists when needed, but encourages, assures and rather than ‘I’ll do this for you’ it’s ‘Let’s do this together’.

Claire and Jamie Fraser
Feyre and Rhysand
… Nerissa* and Lennox.

So in conclusion, if you love powerful priestesses and plundering pirates, then please read this series.

I loved this so much!

This was an absolutely incredible conclusion to an absolutely incredible trilogy.

It is hard to write a review for the last book in a series, but I am going to do my best.

We join our heroes after a journey across the sea, and they are priestesses and pirates on a mission. We dive right into the story as planning for the end starts, and the action never really stops. The pacing moves quickly, and there is just so much packed in. I was never bored.

Andromeda goes on quite the journey this book, as expected. She had a lot dropped on her in Book 2, and now she is trying to set it all right. She’s smart, she uses what she has to her advantage, and she trusts in her family. Watching continue to navigate this world and how she has changed from the start of book 1 until now has been so amazing to see. She is kind and gentle but also an absolute savage! You don’t mess with my girl. She has rage enough for us all. She is definitely one of my all-time favorite FMC (and now I’m crying again).

Our main man, Lennox, is out here doing his thing. He continues to be supportive of his she-wolf and a true leader of his people. His hold on his temper does improve, but we know Lennox. He will do anything to protect the people he loves and cares for.

Our favorite crew of side characters continue to be icons. They are just the best team and family. Always there. Always ready. Blackwell is the worst, and his man Charleston can go pound sand (excellent job making these 2).

It all comes together in the end in a manner very fitting of our characters. I will miss these characters, but I can't wait to revisit them again. They just make me feel so happy, and omg, if I keep going, I am going to cry again.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The resolution of this series came to such a satisfying conclusion. I really enjoyed getting to see these characters close out their story.

I will admit that I struggled with the pacing quite a bit. I think this book would have benefited from some attention to long-drawn descriptions, and there was repetition of a lot of information. I'm sure that was to ensure that details from previous installments were not lost, but there's a point where the reader needs to be given some credit for their ability to retain information. This all served to draw out the action to the point where I nearly didn't stick it out to read the ending. The bulk of the plot occurs in the last 20% or so, and once we reached the inciting incident, I plowed through to the end easily.

In the end, I was pleased with how the story rounded out, and the power that unity can bring. Of the series, the first is my favorite, but the last 20% of this one can count as my second favorite, right?

Thank you LB for allowing me a chance to read the third and last installment of the Andromeda's Account Series, in advance!

This review wont be large because I don't want to spoil the first teo books...This will be a bittersweet review...

Andromeda's Vengeance is the conclusion of the Andromeda's Account series. Where we continue on the journey of Nerissa accepting her birthright and taking a stand against Blackwell's reign of terror. If they are ever to live in peace again, Nerissa must gain more allies along with the allies she already has.

Nerissa you strong she wolf of a being... I am so sad to be walking away from your strength, your fierceness, and your love.

Lennox I didn't think I could fall more in love with you but alas I did. His need to protect and his need to let Nerissa know she doesn't have to do things alone...tugged at my heart strings of this black heart.

The side characters you know who you are... you have my whole heart. But I wanted to bring to the forefront Del's journey in this book. I love the way LB incorporated the subject of grief after the loss of a loved one. She did it in a delicate manor, but also in a real and raw way. And Del just really goes through it after Salome. And for LB to show that journey makes me feel less alone in the world.

What To Expect:
▪︎NA Fantasy Romance
▪︎Multiple POV
▪︎Pirates and Priestesses
▪︎Revenge
▪︎Female Empowerment
▪︎Found Family
▪︎Last Book in the Series
▪︎Elemental Magic
▪︎Trigger Warnings ⚠️ (May Contain Spoilers)
*Graphic Sexual Scenes
*Graphic Violence,Murder,Physical Assault,   and Blood
*Strong Language
*Misogyny
*Anxiety,Panic Attacks, and Grief
*Discussion of Parental Loss
*Suicide/Attempted Suicide
*Alcohol Abuse
▪︎And More

LB what can I say? You made me instantly cry in the prologue. You made me swoon, cry, laugh, get angry, and cry some more. Both upset and happy tears. The epilogue was perfection and I'm hoping we get to see more of these side characters in future. But I just wanted to let you know I loved every emotional second of this entire series. This is a bittersweet goodbye for me. Everything was wrapped up beautifully but I never wanted it to end. Thank you for such a great read and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us in the future.

I can't believe I just finished the last book in the Andromeda's Account series! It feels like it was only yesterday that I received an ARC for the first book, and now I'm saying goodbye to these incredible characters 😭😭😭 I don't know whether to be happy for that SPECTACULAR ending, or feel sad at the thought that we won't be accompanying them in their new journey 💔💔💔

My thoughts are all over the place, so please bear with me! I thought The City of New Aphros was my favorite from the series, but NOTHING could ever compare to this last installment! 👌👌👌❤❤❤ I LOVED every second of this book! How Andromeda finally reached her full power, and DIDN'T hesitate to show anyone who dared cross her what she was capable of! 😍🔥She had it in her blood. She didn't have to use violence to earn her people's loyalty and respect ❤

This book was everything I expected for the ending and SO MUCH MORE!!! Let's not forget about our beloved Captain! He couldn't be any more perfect than he already was 😭❤ He swore loyalty, love and protection to the queen of his heart. The pride he felt as she took back what was rightfully hers was unmatched 😭❤👌

This book, and entire series for that matter, was the perfect example of strong love, friendship and family bonds. My heart aches at the thought of it being over, and I'm currently in tears while writing this review 💔 this is one of the very few book series I've actually finished! It was draining I'm not gonna lie, but I would do it all over again because each and every page was worth it! Congrats on this amazing conclusion to Lennox and Andie's story, L. You really NAILED this one out! ❤❤❤

After months of waiting for this third, and final, installment of Andromeda’s story, I am so sad that it’s over. I immediately fell in love with Andromeda and Lennox in The Bartered Soul and they continue to enamor me to the end. I will do my best to describe my thoughts on this book without spoilers.

The end of TCONA left me reeling with possibilities for how this book might go as our favorite duo finally set off to settle the score with Blackwell once and for all. How will Andromeda ingratiate herself back in Selennia and fight for what’s hers? How will she discern friend from enemy? How will her friends help to ensure success?

I enjoyed watching all the characters grow, learning more about the Goddess and Andromeda’s history, and watching her scheme against Blackwell. The way she uses her words as a weapon was incredible to watch. I loved it all.

I did finish the book, however, feeling like I wanted more. More detail, more scheming, more duplicity, more information, more page-time for certain parts that I feel happened too quickly. I just wanted…more. I feel like this could easily have been two full books, especially if we got to delve further into some of the discoveries made in Selennia. But maybe that’s just because I love this world and wanted to live in it for just a bit longer.

L.B. is an incredible writer and I am so pleased she thought up this world and put it to paper. It is one I will certainly be revisiting.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

"This is home. My home. Our home."

Before you continue reading this review, please note that there may be spoilers for the previous two books in the series. Proceed with caution. With that said, I have to say that L.B. delivered an outstanding conclusion to the series. The ending was perfect and left me feeling emotional - I may have even shed a few happy tears during the epilogue.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, which includes all the elements that made the first two books great. What I particularly appreciate about Andromeda's Accounts Series is the strong bond between the female characters. They rely on one another and support each other through even the toughest times. If you loved Lennox you're going to fall even more in love with him. He's beyond swoon-worthy *fans self*. Andi never ceases to amaze me and I am in awe at how much she grew in this book. With vulnerability and trusting others comes strength.

I didn't add any quotes because I didn't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read the series, or who are waiting to read the final book. I am sad it's over, but I can't imagine a more perfect conclusion to Andi and Lennox's story. Andomeda's Vengeance is out on July 11th! The Bartered Soul and The City of New Aphros are available now and on KU!

Happy Reading!

"Are you ready for our next adventure, my she-wolf?" he whispers against my skin.

"I'm ready for anything with you…”

I won’t post any spoilers here but just know Andromeda’s Vengeance is the third and final installment of the Andromeda’s Account series! I recommend starting The Bartered Soul if you haven’t already!

First, congratulations to @lb_the_author for writing and publishing a fantastic trilogy! I loved the Bartered Soul when I read it last year and it quickly became a favorite series of mine. It’s so hard to write a review without spoilers, so just know that if you pick up The Bartered Soul… you are in for an adventure all the way through the very end.

It was so bittersweet to read those final pages, but Benson did a phenomenal job wrapping up this series. I loved this book and the couple twists were so exciting, the last 30% was non stop! The conclusion was everything I could hope for😪

A huge congrats again to LB… you did the damn thing, babe.

A few more reasons to pick up this trilogy:

🏴‍☠️Pirates & Priestesses first and foremost 💁🏻‍♀️
🏴‍☠️Romance & some spiiicy spice (primarily books one and two 🔥)
🏴‍☠️Fantasy elements
🏴‍☠️Political intrigue
🏴‍☠️Diverse characters
🏴‍☠️A very badass FMC and a swoon worthy MMC who loves to back his woman 👏🏻

Series order:
The Bartered Soul
The City of New Aphros

Advanced Review Copy

My reading life is much happier after this fun and intense romantasy series. Specifically, fans of SJ Maas and JL Armentrout should def hop aboard - very similar cool, creative fantasy story-telling / action vibes and, if we are being honest, with better language craftsmanship (I said what I said).

This book, Andromeda’s Vengeance, takes a bit at the beginning to get the story going again, but about 1/3 of the way through, things pick up and then really get going. LB Benson has an amazing talent of combining lovely prose but also does not getting bogged down in overly descriptive, repetitive language. We are there, we are feeling it, but we are also keeping it moving. This is not always the case with the fantasy genre and I LOVE this for us in the Andromeda’s Account series.

This series gives us so much: action, adventure, (spicy) romance, a great case of characters, bada$$ FMC, heartbreak, intrigue, surprises, and a satisfying story all the way through.

If you are here considering whether to read this series, my response is a hearty “yes!” It is a really great #romantasy option.

Thank you to the author LB Benson for this advanced review copy in exchange for my honest opinion. (You should know that I follow LB on instagram and when she offered some ARCs I immediately applied because I wanted to know how this story ends so badly.)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

LB Benson’s debut trilogy comes to its riveting conclusion in Andromeda’s Vengeance and again I am blown away by the storytelling. This story is a lovely blend of intrigue, action, romance, and lore. The characters we have grown to love come out swinging in a story that gears up for action from the get go. Benson took the time to build a foundation throughout books 1 and 2 that is deeply felt as we delve deeper into histories and generational traumas.

I love that we got the tiniest glimpse into Adelaide and her plight; such a poignant perspective to include and I ate it like candy.

We meet a few new characters and got a few POVs I wasn’t expecting so that was delightful surprise. I fell head over heels for characters I probably shouldn’t have but, honestly, no one is surprised, it’s kind of my MO.

I got sucked into this world in The Bartered Soul and I am overwhelmingly sad to say goodbye, but I know that I will always have a home in Selennia among the priestesses.

*Note to readers! This is BOOK 3! There will be spoilers for books 1 and 2 ahead!*

✨ “I would rather die with you by my side than live without you again.“✨

Hold on to your ship’s rail people, because this installment in the Andromeda’s Account is about to take you on its final sailing. The conflict between Nerissa, Lennox and Dargan has reached its pinnacle. Nerissa’s powers have come to her at a steep cost, but the price of her kingdom may be steeper yet.

I was absolutely enthralled by this story. I have loved these characters from the very beginning, and lived each moment as if I stood beside them. This one though… I could feel myself transported there, feeling each emotion so intensely. I was cheering, crying, raging. This is the mark of an amazing story, and a compelling author and both have been weaves together here. While this may be the end of this particular story, I’m already itching to start it all over again.

"This is home. My home. Our home."

Thank you L.B. Benson, for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review! All thoughts are my own and left voluntarily.

We have finally reached the conclusion of Andromeda's Account series - a heady blend of fantasy, romance, and adventure.

After the events of New Aphros, Lennox and Andromeda (and the rest of the crew) are nursing their hearts while trying to solidify the plan on overthrowing the Selennia's false king Dargan. It will take a courage, trickery and trust, to make this happen!

The character development in this series is fantastic. Aside the plot, spice and characters in general, I especially enjoyed how female bond and support of each other was portrayed. It's crazy to think that L.B. finished this trilogy in approx. 1.5 years - the writing was wonderful, the world-building was immersive, plot was intriguing and characters were memorable! I'm excited to see with what author comes up next :)

the perfect end to the perfect series. thank you a million times over for bringing these characters and this story to life, LB ♥

if you have not checked out this series yet - i kindly and aggressively insist you do it asap. i can’t even put into words how wonderful it is. what starts off with a ruthless pirate purchasing a woman from a brothel, turns into the most beautiful story of found family, female empowerment, and long awaited revenge.

this book/series has pirates, priestesses, elemental magic, and the perfect amount of spice. you can *feel* the love between the MCs when reading.

each character is complex and unique and vital to the story. i truly am not ready for this series to be over, but alas - here we are. i really enjoyed our final installment with captain lennox and andromeda. it brought all the emotions i expected, and such a beautiful ending to the story. wanted to keep this review vague enough so that i don't give anything away to anyone who hasn’t read it. but please go read it! you won’t regret it

I loved, loved, loved this conclusion to Andromeda’s Account. I’m going to keep this vague because I want to avoid spoilers!!!!!

I adore the FMC in this - she’s so strong and determined. I mean she’s going to totally shake up the entire world and she’s gonna do it with the totally supportive, possessive (swoon!) and hot MMC!! I adored every second of this - it was the perfect conclusion to one of the best trilogies I’ve read this year. If you haven’t read it you are missing out!

I adore the sisterhood within this whole series - so much so that I based my DnD character on them (yes I’m THAT much of a geek and I love it!), I even had the DM create a special spell which mimics the ‘Glow’ the priestesses have! That’s how much I love this series! L.B Benson has created a fantastic world of magic, strong women who support each other, hot pirates, Northmen - VIKING LIKE! It is EVERYTHING!

Writing a review for the final book in a trilogy is always tricky if you want to avoid spoilers. So I'll do my best not to reveal anything even for you spoiler hunters, because this book needs to be experienced in real time.

This book is a flawless example of how to weave all the threads to create a tapestry of magic, adventure, intrigue, and emotional resonance. We've followed these characters on this journey to the culmination of everything, and Andromeda's Vengeance was the perfect summit to every expectation and hint laid in the previous books.

This trilogy is a wild ride, and the third book might just be my favorite. Stunning, tense, and action-packed. The satisfying conclusion to a most beloved trilogy.

This book was beautifully woven sisterhood, romance and reverence. The culmination of overcoming against all odds and taking your rightful place, in life and beside the ones you love. I loved the softness of it, and the brutality. It is vengeance.

About halfway through I was strapping myself in for all the twists and turns. And what a ride. LB Benson really did this story justice and gave us an epilogue worth mentioning on top of it.

I appreciated that every character had their part to play and something they brought to the table. Seeing a found family in action always delivers. It had everything you could want in a pirate fantasy romance!

This was a beautiful ending to a beautifully written series.

There were so many spine chilling, goosebumps inducing moments.
I absolutely loved those moments where our FMC was a total bad ass, all those don’t mess with me quotes just made me love her character even more, it gave me all the feels. Seeing just how much she had grown in character and courage, strength and confidence was just beautiful to read.

Reasons to pick this series up
-Priestess and Pirates lots of them
-Romance that is off the scale. Book 1 and 2 are Spicy.
-Badass female leads

-Revenge

“I’ll stand by her side as long as I can stand, and then I’ll crawl if I have to.”

I loved everything about this book! It was the perfect way to conclude this series. Andi (as I will always call her) is one of my all time favorite FMCs, she’s strong but sweet, intelligent, and Powerful! And she knows it. She uses every skill she has to get sh!t done.

It has…
-take charge women
-supportive men (who will step up to fight)
-well developed side characters
-tactical subterfuge
And of course
-🔥🔥🌶️🌶️

A fantastic conclusion to a gripping series.

I have loved every minute of this series. The thoughtful world building, the internal struggles, the character development. And I’m sad it’s over but I am not disappointed.

The conclusion of Andromeda and Lennox’s story had be laughing, cringing, crying, swooning, and cheering.

This is an ode to the power of well-harnessed female rage.

A wonderful final installment to Benson's pirates and priestesses trilogy.

There is a location in this story that I can't get out of my head and want one of my own. Also, Lauren's writing is deliciously detailed, making it easy to picture these gorgeous locations.

Gonna miss this crew of characters.

I first started this series when it first came out on Kindle Unlimited. I loved it then, and I love it just as much now. The author has an incredible way of writing in a way that she doesn’t tell you what the characters feel- she makes you feel those emotions.

Such a perfect ending to the trilogy!! And the Easter Eggs - my brain about exploded at them!

Benson wonderfully wrapped up her sea-faring tale, leaving me hoping for more one day (maybe the next generation?) but in awe of her fierce, loyal, loving priestesses and then men who supported them. I would totally love to live in Aphros under the rule of Nerissa Faelan and her she-wolves ❤️
