Beautii Hamilton is a beast in the courtroom and her drive and determination to be a lawyer is motivated by the wrongful conviction of her father. She wants nothing more than to prove his innocence and what better way to do so than by doing this herself. After years of school, studying and sleepless nights, she not only passes the BAR but gets the highest score in her class! Every law office is trying to snatch her up but it was a no brainer to agree to work with Blyss Valentino. He’s undefeated and if there was ever a ruthless beast of an attorney to learn from it would be Blyss!
Blyss is not a lawyer that was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. When you think of the saying “got it out the mud” it’s synonymous with Blyss. He knew he wanted to make a difference in the black community and representation in and out of the courtroom mattered to him. Since his parents didn’t have the means to send him off to college he used the streets to pay his way through school! The same way he was a beast with dope is the same beast he brings to the courthouse and as an undefeated lawyer, there’s no wonder why Beautii wanted to be on this winning team!
This story was really good and had so many highs for me! The chemistry between Blyss and Beautii was 🔥! Once they crossed the professional lines and decided to kick their personal relationship into high gear things escalated in the best way possible. I loved how protective Blyss was with Beautii when it came to Bilaal. If delusional was a person, it would be Bilaal! Blyss was not fkn around with him!
I would’ve loved to see more of their courtroom chemistry! There were so many time jumps and I’m sure it was to move the storyline along but I would’ve loved to see Beautii in action within those two years as she excelled in her law career! Also, there were waaaaaayyyy too many quotes and song lyrics in this book. It really became overwhelming and took away from the enjoyment of the story. I found myself skipping over these parts of the book. I love music and the way authors use it to connect us to the characters but this was overkill. In this case less is more! There were also a lot of “profound statements” when sometimes us readers simply want a really good book with an amazing storyline and characters to match!
I’m excited to see what’s next for this couple and how things play out now that all threats have seemingly been eliminated. Who knows what book two has in store but I’m eager to find out!

I loved how this story focused a lot on Beautii and her determination to be and do better. She made a decision to leave her ex's antics behind and not look back and she stuck with it. The oasis for Beautii was the love she had for herself coupled with the freedom she had to choose.
The way this story played out made me happy. She took her time. She goals and accomplished them without getting caught up with another relationship and I had so much respect for that.
There wasn't a whole lot of drama in this book but when the drama did show up, baby it DRAMA'ED. (LOL)
Beautii and Blyss together were really sweet.

The Perfect Love Story
Beautii is her name! Blyss is his name! Fitting names for a blossoming professional couple! I loved how the author took a professional man and woman and coupled them together through work. He’s a well sort after ………, she’s a new comer who’s mastering her skills already! Put the 2 together and they make a helleva team! It wouldn’t be the perfect story without a little bit of drama. See what happens when Beautii’s ex Bilaal tries to win her back. A must read!!!

Okay, I see you Beautii! I loved how Beautii was so focused on her goals of becoming an attorney, and let nothing stop her; not even that nothing ass boyfriend of hers! When she had enough, she gracefully bowed out chucked him the deuces, and kept it moving! Bilal couldn't catch a clue, and wouldn't believe that she was actually leaving him! Ughhh..... anyways! 😡 Blyss Valentino! This man came up tough, but made it, and enjoyed the fruits of his labor! Blyss meeting Beautii was magical! You could tell that although they both were professional, the attraction was front and center. When he finally made his move, he was everything you hear me? ❤ I could tell that Blyss had an edge to him, but damn, I was not expecting that! People need to take that L and move around, or get got! NOW! What is up with Willow conveniently dropping by looking for Bilal? Then she wants Beautii to call her? Hmmmm....... Some ish ain't right here ma'am! Looking forward to the next read to see what's goingson! 😂

Need to remove fluff
This will contain spoilers.
Unfortunately this book was too much. This book was real wordy and had a lot of fluff in it.
The book had a lot and I mean a lot of song lyrics.
Beauti wanted to be lawyer to help her father who was wrong fully committed to jail out.
Bliss is a highly recommended lawyer that won ever case.
Beauti was in relationship with Bilaal which was "low level drug dealer" to me. She left them and graduated from law school .
Beauti and Bliss get together. Bliss kills Bilaal. Of course Beauti is pregnant..blah blah.
Now Willow at her door step and that is how it end.
A lot of fluff could have been removed and had more substance in the book.
That book should have been test read or reviewed again.

Beautii and Blyss are a perfect example of black love. Their chemistry, bond and love is like no other. Both are head strong and work so well together. With Beautii being a nurture and Blyss being a protector the duo is perfect together. Oasis is a must read. Aja please tell us there will be a book 2. You definitely did your thing with this one!
