This is a Second Chance Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Ranger Mine series. I did not love the first part of this book, but the storyline grew on me the more I read. The end of this book was really good, and the suspense in this book was really good. The romance in this book was not my favorite. I read this book via Kindle Unlimited/Library and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book.
He wasted ten years of their life trying to protect her and he still didn't. I swear I hate it when someone makes a decision to save their loved one and hurts them badly instead. She was broken. I just thought he was dumb. They could have fought back ten years ago instead of missing each other for that long. They both stayed celibate and never loved anyone else. She missed a guy but she hated it and never went out with anyone again.. The bad guys are still there waiting ten years later and there is lots of action. There are sequels and I will read them. I liked the characters. Again there are intimate scenes but I don't read them I just skim. Good story and first time read for me I believe for this author. Free in KU.
(4.5) It's awesome when you try a new author and they deliver. I will definitely be reading the series. This is not a one pigeon hole book. It's sweet, but has explicit sex, she's innocent, but can channel her seductress inner self. He's a Ranger, his only love Samantha and his service. A cartel has their hooks into some willing military. There is intrigue, there is violence, possible triggers for some, but handled deftly an appropriately for the plot. This is a second chance romance, but also a story of growing evolving. There is suspense , there is a mystery that twists and turns. I have to admit I knew the first time the culprit appeared on the page who it was. I fell in love with all the secondary characters and can't wait to read their stories. Thank you Jo Chambliss for the opportunity to read your work. All thoughts and opinions are my own and we're unsolicited.
I have to admit. I had not read a lot of romance novels before I read Remember Me. Jo Chambliss brought the characters to life. Chase's team members are loyal and have become his family. I can't wait for Forget Me!
Chase promised Sam when he went into the military that he will return to her. However things don't go as planned when he uncovers corruption within his group of Rangers. He takes down the ones they can get but he still has a fear there's more he didn't get so he stays away from Sam and his family for fear that something bad will happen to them. Just when he gets news that he has been wanting that Grip the last one of the bad guys is dead he heads back home. He meets up with his sister at the mall but overhears Sam talking to someone about him. When he gets his chance he goes to Sam. Sam is stunned to see Chase and doesn't really want to talk to him but she's missed him. They have an amazing night together but Sam wonders if she should've given in so easily and leaves to go for a drive. Unknown to either of them the threat is not gone and is on the way to get Sam. Will Chase be able to save Sam in time? Will he be able to trust people within the military again after everything he has been through?
This is an amazing start to this series. This is the first book I've read by this author and it definitely won't be my last. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Although not a huge fan of two part books, this one probably would have been better served broken up into two parts. This book became a super long read. That said, Chase and Sam's story was interesting, heart wrenching, and action packed. The pace was somewhat uneven, but I think the author simply wanted to pack in a punch. The characters were compelling and even the secondary characters peaked your interest. I look forward to their books. Hopefully they won't be a long. I believe this is a debut novel, but it doesn’t feel like it in the slightest with a strong storyline, convincing characters and an excellent demonstration of world building.
Omen loves Sam and would do anything to keep her safe, so when her life is threatened because she belongs to him when he uncovers and blows wide open a traitor within his army unit, he doesn’t have to think twice about making the hard decision to cut her off and walk away.
Sam loved Omen, and despite protestations to the contrary probably still does. She has never understood how he could leave her like he did, without even an explanation and yet despite this she has spent the last 10 years measuring every man she has met up against this yardstick and found them all lacking.
That doesn’t mean that when Omen comes back she will welcome him with open arms though, in fact quite the opposite.
I loved Sam and how strong and independent she was, how in the face of all the challenges she faced them head on, and didn’t hesitate to give Omen as much as he deserved.
The supporting characters were fantastic and you will really buy into them, wanting HEA storylines for each of Omens teammates as well as Sam’s support network.
A thrilling read with great characters. Highly recommended read
This book has it all angst, humour, romance and suspense. Chase and Sam appear to have it all except Chase is leaving on deployment, all is ticking along when Chase gets caught up with some treacherous Rangers then the s..T hits the fan! I really enjoyed this book by Jo Chambliss and am looking forward to the next ones.
You will definitely want to read this one if you enjoy a story that never stops the excitement, danger, horror, honor, duty, sacrifice, hope and never-ending love. This story will keep you fascinated from the beginning to the very last page. Thank you Jo Chambliss for bringing us such an exceptional story and I can not wait to start into Erin's story!
Wow what a great start to this series. Chase and Sams characters are engaging and well written. The storyline is intense and full of suspense and danger. I enjoyed this read.

We get the complete picture of these two lovers past and present. I.loved how well written it was. The details provided were exceptional. I'm off to grab book 2.
It had all the elements of great suspense, relatable characters, a Plot that you did not figure out until the very last moment! I cannot wait go start the second book.
While I really enjoyed this story and the characters, I couldn't help but feel that the lead MC didn't do everything possible. Instead, he didn't think things through. But that's the story and it still worked. The spices were hot, the characters believable, and the suspense off the charts.
This story has danger, suspence, lies from your camander, keeping you turning the pages to read what happens next until the end looking forward to reading more books from this author
This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. I felt so much for Sam and Chase for being apart for so long. I’m glad they got a second chance to be together.
This is my first time reading this author and it’s a really great second chance romance. I like the author’s writing style and she has done a wonderful job drawing me into the story so that I was engaged throughout. The characters are well written with some depth to them.

This is one of those books where you need to allow plenty of time because I guarantee that once you start you won;t be putting it down until you turn that last page. I was reading into the early hours of the morning thinking that sleep was overrated anyway.
Chase and Sam love one another deeply and just as Sargent Chase “Omen” McDaniels is about to return to base for his next mission he purchases a ring because he knows that she is the woman that he will spend the rest of his life with. What he doesn't expect is that on his latest mission him and his men will discover a group of rangers who are betraying their fellow soldiers and when he and his men bring them down one escapes and "Grip" threatens to kill all that Chase loves in revenge. Unwilling to risk Sam Chase breaks things off with her hoping that she will find someone else to love and have a good life. Ten years later and still alive even though he has had a death wish all those years Chase discovers that Grip is dead and he returns to see how Sam is he discovers that she has never moved on and is still waiting for him. What he didn't know was that it is all a elaborate hoax and he has put Sam in the cross hairs of Grip Will he be able to rescue her and do they have a chance at a future together and what will happen when they discover that the treason goes much deeper than they realised.
When Chase has to report to base he;s deploying to Iraq.He is afraid to wake Sam up so he leaves after watching he sleep for a minute. On his way to base he stops at a jewelry store an buys an engagement ring.He puts it on a chain an wears it knowing that it will be on her finger in six months. But then things go sideways an he has to forget,Sam and his family. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain .I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author.

Sam and Chase are definitely tortured souls who in the beginning were inseparable and Chase was ready to take a big step, this all falls apart when an enemy makes Chase a promise that turns his blood cold. Jump forward 10 years and Chase decides to walk back into Sam's life not knowing if he is welcome as well as still haunted by what he missed out on for the last 10 years and not just with Sam. But don't think you can breath easy now as Sam has a lot of resentment and someone is either after Sam or Chase and are determined to make them pay. The perfect mix of romance, tension, frustration, action, mystery, kick arse guys and gals and characters you can't get enough of, so good luck not wanting to binge read the books already available in the series!!!

Samantha had always loved chase. since beginning of time, so when he went into the army she was heartbroken, he said he would be back ,he didnt come back until 10 years later. in which life went on. Ten lifetime years later where explanations doesnt cover it until chase comes face to face with his demon. And knows he had to fight for whats his. I so loved this military storyline and the deep love chase had for samantha. I recommend it

Remember Me is more than a second chance story. Chase and Samantha were so connected ten years in the past that they couldn’t move on to other relationships. The plot moved between action and intimacy in a way that kept me interested. A few scenes in the beginning pulled at me emotionally and I wanted to know how it ended. Not my first book with this author and as usual, I enjoyed her writing.
An excellent military read. Chase and Sam have loved each other since they were teenagers. When he goes in the Army he promises to return to her. But trouble and rogue military working with the cartel cause trouble. When Chase and his team find out what is going on they turn evidence. One of the rogue's (Grip's) girlfriend is killed in the raid, he seeks revenge. He threatens Chase's family. So Chase cuts all ties. Ten years later Chase is back to claim what is his. There is a lot of action, death, surprises and renewed love. HEA.
I wasn't sure what to expect as I have never read any Jo Chambliss books before. Now I have and I intend to settle down and catch up on what I've missed..
Chase and Sam's story is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions, I laughed, felt gutted and fell in love the characters. Chase is a Ranger who faces real evil that threatens everyone he loves. In order to save them, he walks away from them.
Sam has spent a decade, in a daze, blaming herself for Chase's not coming back. Then circumstances change, Chase can come home.
What happens next? Read it yourself, it's worth it (I read it in one sitting, admittedly I did go on until 2:30 am)! I'm about to start No: 2.
