Ummm, they did what to her cervix!? They do what in their wolf forms!? Amongst the Wolves is a HOT, fast paced monster novella that had me like ohhh 😮. Copious amounts of 💦…breeding kink go burrrttt! 3 big wolf shifters with forcibly huge knots…yesss please 👏🏼 I’m telling all my monster novella hoes to get on this one when it comes out on 3/27/23, because it’s a super hot quickie that’ll leave you slightly edged but satisfied.

Terrific fairytale kind of story. I enjoy the ‘fated mates’ trope for how it lets us get straight to the action. I haven’t read many books in which the shifters stay in their nonhuman form for sexy times and I didn’t expect to like it, but these wolves seemed just human enough to make it interesting. The little sister as a plot point was a bit weak, but it felt somewhat in line with the fairytale style in which characters often live off page as motivators only. Breeding isn’t especially my thing, but it fit the story so it didn’t bother me.

I expect nothing less than hot, filthy spice from this author, and this novella did not disappoint! This was a cute, quick read where the men are so monstrously sweet that you do fall in love with them within 15 pages.

I went into this knowing this story may not be for me, and I was correct. However, I would not discourage others from reading it. My rating only reflects my personal enjoyment and is not a reflection on the writing or the basic plot. What didn't work for me: I felt like I was dropped into a story that had already started, the dudes are shifters that HAVE TO do her while in the shifted form the first time, and the dudes drooled in the shifted form and it grossed me out. Why you may like this book: you want something spicy and explicit, you like fated mates, you like a breeding kink, you like shifter reverse harem stories.

Our novella queen gave us a downright *howling* good time with this one 🥵

My favorite part while reading had to be the imagery. It felt like I was IN the story’s world. I mean fated mates, three strong shifters, strong as fu leading lady - yup, good with all of that.

With Ruby/Ms. Juniper Hale’s writing, I’m always so impressed she creates such vibrant characters because novella writing is so hard! It’s a lower word count, so less time to form your MC’s but I feel like we got to know them all so well!

They are so, so very steamy and cute together. Yes, there’s minimal plot, but I was still page turning! I had no idea my ears could burn and my eyes could water from swoon but here we are. Also, shoutout to this book for answering the “do they or don’t they” question 🐺🐺

Overall, for all my shifter/monster romance friends - this novella will hit ya in all the right spots. (yes that’s an inside joke)

I didn't know how much I needed to read about shifters in their wolf forms breeding a human until this book 🥵 Those scenes were incredibly hot and I've never quite read something like that before. This is the perfect smutty monster novella that hits just right for breeding kink lovers.

First read of 2025 & I think this will be my year of shifter romances 🔥🔥

The author gives us a warning that this is purely smut, not a lot of plot and I appreciate when authors are straightforward. If that’s not your cup of tea, this book isn’t for you. But if it is, you’re in for a spicy ride 😜

This short novella follows Anika, who is struggling to survive as the sole provider for her little sister after her parents have passed away. When her home is burned down she assumes it’s the wolf shapeshifters so she goes into woods to hunt them down. She’s not prepared to find out she’s mated to not only one of the shapeshifters but 3 who are brothers.

Now I’ve read spicy paranormal scenes but I’ve never read about them staying in their animal form during spicy scenes and I’m not mad about it 🤤

My only complaint is I wish it was a full length novel cuz this novella was hot!!
If you love shifter romances, breeding, why-choose, and “touch her & d!e” give this short story a shot.

I fell in love with Juniper Hale when I read Until Dawn. So when I found out she was releasing a werewolf shifter (my favourite thing) erotica, I couldn’t contain my excitement.

Among The Wolves did not disappoint. It was fun, sexy and the author’s writing is top notch.

Now this is top tier monster smut. If you’re expecting that they mate with her in their human form, you’d be wrong. They take her in their werewolf form in order to complete the mating bond. As with most eroticas, it’s not very plot intensive but that’s absolutely fine by me because I knew that from the get go.

Despite being super short, Among the Wolves had some of my favourite tropes; breeding kink, fated mates, why choose, touch her and die and shifters.

I highly recommend this for seasoned monster romance fans. I really loved it, and I can’t wait to see what else Juniper Hale comes up with.

It seems the worst has already happened to Anika so what more could happen when she travels into the woods? It could be dangerous or… it could life changing and orgasmic. Listen, if you’re here for anything other than a short, smutty time then you’re here for the wrong reason. Juniper Hale set out to give us 60 something pages of monster filled S M U T and she did it soooo MF well. Don’t pick up this book for any other reason.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This is a VERY steamy shifter novella. This was a super quick, read in one sitting read. The steam level is at an ultimate high, with minimal on the plot. Though the plot was minor, it was a cute story. I don’t read shifter romance often but this one had me hooked immediately and I enjoyed every second of it. One thing you can count on from this author is top tier STEAM, and fantastic story telling. This did not disappoint. Can’t wait for more this year from her !

This book was all spice with a dash of plot and I loved every single filthy second of it! Sometimes you need a shifter romance to get you out of a reading funk and this book was definitely that!

This novella was HOT. If you’re looking for something quick and dirty this one is for you! It was a no fuss type of plot and got right to the point, which sometimes is exactly what you need. It was an interesting dynamic between them all and was definitely something I didn’t know I was into. The chemistry was undeniably there, due to some obvious reasons tied to the story, so you were not lacking in any sort of relationship development. Overall definitely give it a go even if you are hesitant!

What a great way to ring in the new year! This is a novella, so my expectations were fairly low but this gave me ALL the knotting, the shifted mating fun, breeding and delicious steam I could have asked for.

As others said yes I wanted more! I would have liked to know what happened to Reese’s previous mate and an extended epilogue would have made my day, but again it’s a novella not a novel. This highly satisfied my love of steamy shifted mates😍, therefore 5 stars. I’ll definitely be checking out the next book.

I will continue to praise the author in everything she writes because the beauty and detail shared within her stories transforms you into a whole different world. Even in this short novella I was able to envision the scene perfectly. The spice was fantastic, as always. Perfect short steamy read (Spoilers)

This RH is a great example of a small book with more smut then plot.
•I absolutely loved the shapeshifter/werewolf theme.
•I also enjoyed the unique fact that the males could not shift into human until after the mating.
•As well as the fact that each brother had a different sexual backstory.

All in all great little read. A total recommendation!
