I’m all in for a trip to Jamaica with my best friend, Sofie—sunshine, fruity cocktails, hot men. Yes, please! But when Sofie takes off with a sexy waiter, I’m stuck all alone. At what turns out to be a family resort. Where are the single men?
I’m ready to head home early when I spot an Adonis coming from the beach. Ohmygod. Are those abs real? Did he just sit next to me?
Turns out, Carter’s smart, adventurous, and makes indie films. We spend two amazing days together as he scouts locations around the island. And though we don’t hook up, our chemistry’s on fire! Quivers. Goosebumps. Fire!
Before he leaves, we trade numbers since he’s always passing through Dallas, where I live, and I can’t wait to see him again.
Until…
I get home.
And show a coworker my vacation pics.
And she recognizes Carter.
Gasp! Carter failed to mention his side gig, and let’s just say Mamma wouldn’t approve. I really want to give this guy a shot, but can I get past this?
Answer: I just might have to join him to find out.

Whether it’s Romance, Suspense/Thriller, or Fantasy, there are always big heroes to root for, smart and resourceful heroines, and a ton of heart pumping excitement in every story.
Mimi lives with her extremely patient husband (“Be right there! Just one more page, honey!”), two pirates-in-training (their boys), and their three spunky dragons (really, just very tiny dogs with big attitudes) Snowy, Mini, and Mack, in the vampire-unfriendly state of Arizona.
Two Sticky Nuts is the eighth book in the OHellNo series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. This book is a complete and total stand alone. Even though I have read and loved the previous books in the series, you in no way need to have read any of them for this one. I read the blurb and thought I knew what I was getting in this book. Something light and funny and romantic! I have read many books of Mimi Jean’s. I KNEW better. Because Mimi Jean loves to keep us on our toes. This book is a whole new level of twists and turns. I have no earthly idea how she thinks of this stuff. I flew through this because I could NOT put it down. I had to find out what was going on. And I loved every word of it. Hold on to your hats for this one, folks!
Mila is thirty two years old. She describes herself as a fixer. She fixes problems. Except not her own. In her job, she is completely taken advantage of by her boss and underpaid. She has had a series of disasters regarding her living arrangements and now finds herself without a home. Her best friend, Sofie convinces her to take a break from apartment hunting and go with her on an all expense paid vacation to Jamaica. Maybe that’s just what she needs! Except it turns out to be a family resort, not for singles. But then HE walks out of the water, all abs and hotness. And sits down right next to her. Her world will never be the same!
“He’s in a whole different lane of hotness compared to normal men. He’s like the Autobahn, and the rest are just dirt roads filled with mud puddles.”
Once Mila gets home to Dallas, she discovers a side of the man she met that she’s not sure she can deal with. But, that’s just the tip of the iceberg! And that’s about all I can tell you. Because from that point on, Mila’s life is one crazy thing after another. I had no idea what was going on, what was true and what wasn’t. I found myself leaning over my e-reader like maybe that would help me get closer to the truth, or read faster!
I learned an important lesson with this book. When it comes to Mimi Jean, expect the unexpected! And prepare to be amazed! She promises more with this series at some point and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
OMG I laughed my way though Two Sticky Nuts by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. I guess the title might give us a clue as to what may be involved, but there is so much more to the story than I anticipated. There always is with Mimi’s work.
Mila and Sofie are best friends, and polar opposites, but their trip to Jamaica changes Mila’s life, challenging her and pushing her past her limits.
I was reading along, thinking this is a lot of fun, with laughs galore, and Mimi Jean throws a wrench in what I thought would be a simple story. She manages to do that to me a lot, catching me off guard…in a very good way. It enables her to add those moments that I do not anticipate ahead of time. Of course, it helps when we have a hunkalicious man…or two.
If you like some spice in your romance, lots of laughs and surprises, come along for the ride. You won’t regret it.
I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Two Sticky Nuts by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff.
What a fun, humorous, and delightful read! I absolutely love this author’s penchant for creating an original and interesting story with lovable and quirky characters. I adored Mila as well as the supporting cast of characters. Their antics are hilarious and the dialogue as well as Mila’s inner musings are quite amusing. Often times I found myself chuckling out loud and nearly brought to tears with laughter. The unpredictable twists and creative situations that Mila finds herself in is rather hilarious; thus keeping me enthralled throughout the entire book. Two Sticky Nuts is a fast paced romantic comedy that is exactly what I have come to expect with this author’s OHellNo series. Buckle up for you are in for a wild and zany ride!
Granted, when I get a hold of a MJP book, I often wonder what I just read. But seriously, what the ever-lovin' heck did I just read here?? Stories like this are tricky to tell you about, because the spoilers have spoilers and they make baby spoilers, and honestly, you probably wouldn’t believe me.
It all starts when Mila's friend Sophie is gifted a Jamaican vacation for two. At a family resort. So while Sophie is busy getting busy with the cute waiter, Mila is soaking up sunshine alone. Until she meets Carter, who's in Jamaica to spot locations for his film project, and he invites Mila to join him. Back home in Dallas, Carter visits Mila, and that's when all the craziness ensues.
It seems Carter has a side gig (see book title) so look away if you’re at all squeamish about fetishes. Then there are all kinds of shenanigans involving subversive filming, mistaken identity, police, exposés, medical emergencies, and cartel-adjacent characters. Again, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.
I really didn’t connect with these characters, and sometimes I didn’t like them all that much, and I think that's the way it's intended to be. This is not a hearts and flowers romance, but rather a wild and cray-cray shenanigan-filled time. Leave your expectations at the door and get ready for a hilarious, ridiculous, outrageous read and do your best to hang on for the ride. One thing is guaranteed. You'll know, without a doubt, that you’re reading an MJP romance and you'll enjoy every minute of it!
Mila, stressed out overworked, she hasn't had a vacation in 3 yrs. Her boss hardly ever lets her take leave. Now that her apartment is flooded, she has to find a new place & move.
Mila's friend Sophie has a trip to Jamaica land in her lap and she invites Mila to go with her. Both ladies think they will have a hot hookups but of course it's a couples / family resort they are at!
Mila does meet a hot guy, Carter who says he is on the island to scout out film locations and is taking photo's and doing research. Carter invites Mila along to scout out some locations with him. They have a great time together, talking, and hiking. Carter has to leave to get back to the States to talk with the backers of the film and get everything set up.
Mila isn't really expecting Carter to contact her again, but, a few weeks later he does and he wants to get together! Mila realizes that Carter is just using her to do some couch surfing! And then after he takes money out of her bank account she meets Logan who is Carter's twin! Of course Mila doesn't think they are twins, she thinks they are the same person pretending to be one person. It seems everything that could go wrong with Mila, Carter & Logan does! Mila wants romance but all she is getting with Carter & Logan is the run around and trouble!
Will Mila and Carter be able to work out their differences? Or is he too much of a hippy - free spirit? Will Logan and Mila be able to connect?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Another awesomesauce emotional roller-coaster added to the Mimi Amusement park and it in my humble opinion is the most twisted one yet!!! This exciting storyteller really out did herself this time and I for one and loving every heart racing twist and turn. Carter is just the best ever!
Absolutely Nucking Futs! Completely bonkers. AGGRAVATING in all the best ways. Leave it to Mimi to do nothing in a normal way. And that's why i read her books.
It’s a like giant ball pit of fun for adults (pun intended)
Mila is an overworked, underappreciated workaholic, who’s the go to person for her lazy boss who relies on her to do both their jobs so he can golf. Through a series of unfortunate events her apartment was a total loss and her temporary one is suddenly grossly uninhabitable. With an astounding amount of vacation time accrued Mila finally gives her boss an ultimatum that she needs to use some time off. Planning to get her living situation sorted in that time, yet in comes Mila’s best friend Sophie with an all expense paid trip for the two of them (from a client) to Jamaica.
After some convincing Mila decides to go with Sophie. Enter sexy Carter, who is charismatic, charming, quirky and quite possibly MIla’s perfect match. The perfect vacation ensues, though there seems to be something holding Carter back. Once back home Mila discovers that Carter’s got a secret and it’s a doozie. The question is can she set aside her misgivings, look past Carter’s secret to acceptance and maybe find her happily ever after with her very own perfect (for her) man.
Two Sticky Nuts is the latest installment of Mimi Jen Pamfiloffs rollicking hilarious standalone series where the situations are crazy, the characters are crazier, and the story is pure unadulterated fun. I struggled to write this review. The book was so good but how am I supposed to convey it without spoilers? All I can say is trust me it’s worth the read and is probably one of the most over the top situational comedies Mimi has written thus far.
OMG, Mimi Jean you have done it again. This book was, I think, by far one of her funniest. I couldn’t stop laughing. The way you describe the characters of Mila, Carter, and Logan, is great. Mila’s uncertainty about her life, Carter’s quirkiness and little boy nature, and Logan‘s maturity and responsible nature are all set forth in this book. The characters and situations are funny, and you will certainly laugh, a lot. The book brings forth several other characters who are instrumental in the plot. Also, the cleverness on Mimi Jean‘s part that makes the book sweet, tender, funny, and makes you feel good. Of course, I think one of the underlining themes in the book, is whether you trust your own feelings. Do you go for the sure thing where love is concerned, or do you take a chance on someone that is outside of your comfort zone? Mila has to reach inside to see whether she wants to take a chance on someone that she normally wouldn’t even consider. Her friend, Sofie, pushes her into getting out of her own way and letting her hair down. Her boss, Dick, is a total idiot and the storyline makes for some very funny moments. All in all, this book is a great escape, and a really good read. As I like to say, grab a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine, and sit down and enjoy the ride!
Just when I think that Mimi can't surprise me she always shows me that she can. This installment of the OHellNo series was not what I was expecting but was still a good read overall.
In this installment we meet Mila - down on her luck with her housing situations and in desperate need of a break. She goes on an all expense paid trip with her friend to Jamaica where she meets film maker Carter and the pair hit it off but when the pair return to reality will it continue.
Carter, a film maker with an unexpected side gig meet while he is scouting a film location. When the pair meet back up after vacation the Mimi mayhem starts - or does it continue?? His twin brother Logan is introduced to the mix and the craziness continues.
In typical Mimi fashion, things get out of control in some funny situations while the chemistry ratchets up for the characters. As the high-jinks continue in this tale one has no excuse but to love what is going on. Overall this was a good read that I enjoyed from start to finish and would recommend to others.
One uptight overthinker, a holiday in the sun, an Adonis of a man who is there one day, gone the next, turns up again... and again... and again... but something doesn't add up. Two Sticky Nuts? Maybe... This was definitely a screwball comedy, with lots of twists and turns, not sure if you believe your eyes, completely bonkers. Overcautious Mila is at the centre of everything but her life seems to be playing out on fast forward while it's all she can do to hang on for the ride. Nothing is what it seems, no matter who is gently pushing her or egging her on. This was a very easy read, just right for a sunny day in the garden or on the beach. There a few hanging threads left with side characters and Mimi has intimated that they will all get their stories. For now, I think I need to go and sit down in a quiet room to catch my breath. A definite three and a half star read.
This book was absolutely hilarious. I loved the story so much and laughed out loud so many times.
Mila goes on vacation with her bestie to a tropical island. She's hoping she'll meet a guy while there, but then realizes it's a family resort. One day, a gorgeous and single guy comes and talks to her. He's scouting locations for a film he's making and convinces her to come along. They get along but he ends up having to leave but promises to come to Dallas soon.
When he does come to visit, all sorts of things go wrong and Mila starts getting the feeling that shes being used. Until she meets his twin brother and the sparks really fly.
Things to from bad to worse with Mila thinking he's playing her and not really 2 men but they have to work together to figure out where he is when he seems to have been kidnapped!
I absolutely loved this story and thought Mimi had done it again with the funniest, most lovable characters ever. With Mila, who's a problem solver and has a tone of bad luck and a boss who would prefer playing golf than work. Puts herself first for a change and goes on a holiday with the help of her bestie, Sofie, who I absolutely loved and thought she was hilarious. Loved the little puns with the chuck e cheese comment and the unicorn poster that was sneeked into the story. The title is so fitting for this story as it's totally bonkers with a super double twist involving coco nuts and desert toppings that will make you laugh. Then there's the super hot chemistry with a scoop load of tension that will blow you away. But through all the antics, I love a story that has a happy ending, and this ending was so swoon worthy I loved it.
It's hard not to spoil this book but i will try first it's not for all audience as there are lot of double meaning and sexual allusions. It's well written but not my favourite from this author.
Mila life is simple, she is independant and does not trust herself a lot when her life get into a series of trouble ( fire, sewer trouble etc etc) she accepts to go with her best friend on vacation ...not expection to meet a gorgeous male. After spending a bit of time with him before his departure she discover more about his life and it's time for her to see what she can accept from mister right ...if he is mister right.
Really it's funny, well written n well balanced with the steamy part and the story building part , i just did not like Mila that much i guess or i was disappointed by her decisions at least.
This installment in the Oh Hell No series is much more “hell no” than any of the others!! The plot of this book has more twists and turns than any roller coaster you have ever ridden! When Mila and her best friend take a free trip to Jamaica, Mila has a hard time relaxing. Missing work is not her style but she doesn’t want to put a cramp in Sofie’s vacation. When she meets Carter, a photographer and film maker, she allows herself to be drawn into his story and finds herself enjoying the trip. Back at home, when Carter shows up at her door, the whirlwind begins! Is he really the internet porn guy who decorated his private parts with sweets? Is he interested in her? Is he really any of the things he says he is? The surprises will keep you reading till the very last page!
A free tropical vacation with her best friend couldn’t have come at a better time for Mila. She isn’t certain what to make of it when she finds out it is a resort catering towards families & couples however, she does meet Carter. They spend a few idyllic days together while he looks at film locations and then they return home, and she is uncertain if she will see them again.
When they reconnect, she isn’t sure what to make of his career or his behavior and the mayhem and confusion continue to mount but that is only the beginning of the story.
The sparks fly, the humor is sure to bring a smile to your face and the surprises keep coming as Mila’s search for romance takes a few twists that she didn’t see coming.
Firstly, as always, a huge thank you to Mimi and her team for sending me an ARC!
I'd normally say I was blessed, but damn, Mimi has finally lost it! This is by far one of her funniest, twistiest, most ridiculously crazy funny books EVER!
Look, honestly, just look at the name of the book!!! Let your mind go crazy and you'll still never be anywhere near as weird as Ms M. This book is all over the place, zigging and zagging, and back tracking, and just general chaos, and madness, and I loved every nutty moment of it!
Just read the damn book!!! I absolutely needed this book right now.
In Two Sticky Nuts, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has written what I would consider the perfect screwball comedy. She even admits at the end of the book that she outdid herself on 'the crazy.' Start to finish this was just darn fun to read. I was either grinning or laughing out loud the entire book. From the banter between Mila and her best friend about their bodies and their love lives, to the fetish porn star (you can probably guess the fetish) there are so many twists and turns with miscommunications and wrong assumptions that it just made reading this book so entertaining. Do yourself a giant favor...get this book!!!
One of the funniest book I have read this year! This is totally crazy, laughing out loud moments from the first to the last page! Mila and her friend Sophie are gifted a trip to a family resort in Jamaica. Sophie will fast disappear with a cute waiter and Mila is left ton her own when she meets Carter. He is gorgeous, sexy and will invite her to tour the island to spot locations for his upcoming film project. He leaves the island suddenly but hey meet again in Dallas where all hell breaks lose and the fun begin. Their shenanigans are hilarious and will have you guessing what's next for these two. It is a delightful funny story.
Loved Mila and Carter and Logan! I do not want to spoil anything. Mila goes on a trip with Sophie, her best friend to Jamaica. She gets abandoned when Sophie sleeps with the bartender. Mila meets Carter and the ride begins. He is a filmmaker who is scouting locations on the island. Mila later finds out his side hustle as Mr. Sticky Nuts. Porn aside, could he be the one? Enter his twin, Logan, and the feeling intensifies. Madness ensues. This book definitely keeps you reading! It is one wild ride!
I absolutely love how every book from MJP is unique. I’ve learned to expect the best and enjoy the ride. While this is a series, only a few are really connected. Mila has this book but her friend, Sofie, will have the next. The girls go on a vacation but only after Mila has a series of horrendous events happen to her. She meets someone who changes her world, that could mean so many things. It’s clever, comedy gold, and fascinating. I’m always thankful to receive an early copy and wrote my review voluntarily.
Knock your socks off funny! This book had me all over the place. One minute you think it's going to me one type of romance and the next it's one hot mess of hilariousness! The best part was when a contest winner's name was stated and what she was there to do. Why was it funny? Because it was my mom's name and I know she'd never be the type to do it. Once again, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff delivers the entertainment! If you're looking for a great read for the hammock, pick this book up, head outside, and get a nice tan while laughing your butt off.
Firat off, i received this as an ARC and asked for an honest review, so here it is. This is a fun quarkey read.. Mila is somewhat uptight. She has a string of bad luck. Apartment fire, sewage leak in another. She has a free getaway with her bff, and thinks her luck is changing when she meets a hottie who could be m Mr. Right. Is he a twin? Isnt he a twin? You wany to put pickels where?? Mimi has always been good at writing stories that twist & turn but this one is a little crazy. And yes, it will make you laugh. Definitely recommend!
There were a few funny moments, but there were more things about this book that bothered me that the ones I liked! Carter and Sofie rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning; I'm not going to get into how crazy Carter is and all the awful things he did, there was so much craziness that I'll never finish, but I will say that Mila's responses to all of that were just moronic, abd that was thanks to the suggestions and encouragement of her "brilliant best friend", the life coach (insert massive eye roll here)! But I'll admit that I'm curious about what happened to that traitor!
Every time I think I have a handle on the kinds of twists MJP will put in a book, I am proven wrong. This time I was incredibly wrong. As in I couldn't have been more wrong. I couldn't see how the book was going to resolve even as I was starting the last chapter. It was an absolute nail-biter to the last page, but the epilogue tied things up well. Except for the questions I have about Sofie and a couple of other characters. I can't wait to see where that goes.
This author is known for her plot-twists, but in this case you really need to strap in for the ride that she's going to take you on with this book plot! I was wondering how on Earth the author came up with her ideas for this book as I laughed out loud while reading it. I also really liked the main character and became increasingly attached to her as I got further into the book. I think that fictional Mila and I might be friends now, lol. The book is funny, and ridiculous, and- nuts! 😄
I really enjoyed Sticky Nuts, and I know you will as well. Two Sticky Nuts was light-hearted, hysterical, and definitely unexpected. It is always best to dive in knowing less of what to expect and letting her story take you down all the twisty, curvey mind f*cks and nonstop laughs that are guaranteed any of MJP books. Two Sticky Nuts is another "for a good time, must read" book that will not disappoint. And can I just say "Jamaican Chucky Cheese" IYKYK, lmaooooooo!
Another amazing read that had me laughing all the way through. You have to love the original way Mimi tells a story and this one didn’t disappoint. Mila is a quiet, always willing to please, always doing the right thing kind of person. That is until on holidays she meets Carter. This book wasn’t wha t I expected but I loved it just the same. Keep the wild times coming.
I was given a complimentary copy but voluntarily chose to review
