Rate this book
A spy nobody gets close to. An heiress on a humanitarian escape. Can her genuine sweetness penetrate his impenetrable heart?
Cassandria Mikelson, daughter of one of the wealthiest men in America, has been hounded by paparazzi her entire life. When her mom dies and her boyfriend dumps her, she escapes the barrage of questions and pictures, and finds solace and purpose in a refugee's camp. She meets the charming Gage Remington and is flattered by his interest in her, but wonders whether he'll be different than all the others who were only after her inheritance.
Gage Remington, a cynical and suave spy, is an expert at hiding the truth about everything, including himself. When Cassandria's father hires Gage to protect his daughter, Gage has no problem lying to Cassie about who he is so he can watch over her. But When Cassie risks her life to save a little girl, Gage's hardened heart is hit by a sledgehammer. He realizes how fast he's falling and wonders if he'll be able to stay aloof and professional.
Cassie continues to draw Gage in with her selflessness and Christian light. Gage realizes he needs to either be reassigned, or open his heart--and the truth of who he is--to her. But will Cassie ever be able to forgive Gage when he finally reveals the truth?

super cute book but please send to a Southern for appropriate translation

Loved the characters and the plot. Enough romance and suspense to keep you hooked.

But please. Please. For the sake of all Southerners. Let someone FROM the south read a book written from the perspective of a Southerner. Fixin to is only used when you are about TO DO something. Never in my life have I heard it used in the context “fixin to know”. And while we love our cute phrases and use them often, it is not all the time. We sprinkle them in sparingly, like salt. It just makes everything better. Also there are phrases that a man would use that a true Southern woman wouldn’t be caught dead using. It a whole nother language down here and you need a translator who is familiar with the language, culture, and appropriate context.

Why is it that the tougher, cleverer, handsomer(?) they are,the hard they fall and the slower they are to admit it? Master spy, Gage Remington, is a goner from his first words with Cassandria/Cassie. He does valiantly fight it, after all he did promise her father he wouldn’t touch her except as necessary. I think there might need to be a definition of necessary. As I expected for a new book from Cami Checketts, I fell in love with both the hero (I’m old, not dead) and the heroine. Cassie has such a caring heart. Treat yourself to this book, yes, it can stand alone, but you don’t want to miss the previous books.

More than he seems

Gage Remington is a great hero, tormented by his naval intelligence past, and regarding himself as beyond redemption. The assignment from her dad, guarding Cass as her new boyfriend, is just another in a long string of deceptions. Until he actually meets her and her smile starts melting the frozen corners of his soul.

I really liked that Cass was not as oblivious to the danger she was in as she might seem. Also that Gage was so careful to be thoughtful about her emotional as well as her physical safety.

I purchased a copy of this story from Amazon as part of a boxset and voluntarily chose to share my review.

Matchmaking the Spy and the Heiress

What a great series this has been so far. Gage and Cassie are such a great couple. Gage has been a master at dishonesty as long as it has been for the good of his country. But now he is suppose to pretend to fall in love with the most captivating woman he has ever met - Cassie. He cannot stop himself from completely falling for her. What happens when she learns the truth?

Cass and Gage's story is a fun read. Gage is a spy who makes his living lying to people. When his boss, Sutton Smith, sends him to Costa Rica to act as a body guard for an heiress, Cassie Mikelson, he is also asked to make Cassie fall in love with him without disclosing his true identity. Their immediate attraction throws Gage for a loop and Cassie can't seem to keep away from Gage. Delightful characters!

wow, I love this author

Gage and Cassie are a wonderful mix of personalities and yet so similar in their thoughts and ways. I loved the settings of this story and how Cassie heart wanted the best for the children even to the point of putting her life at stake. I know how it feels to get ridiculed about a southern accent and sayings that I have heard for years. If you read this story you will love it too. As a matter of fact, read the whole series.

Matchmaking the Spy and the Heiress is a Christian, heartwarming, inspiring, fun romance. I think God had a chuckle matching Gage and Cass. They will be perfect for each other - after they face some hard truths in their lives. This well written book had my attention from beginning to end as I watched Cass' daddy's plan work too well, causing issues for both Gage and Cass. I love how Ms. Checketts resolved everything by the end of this fun romance.

NEW FAVORITE!

Oh. My. Goodness! Matchmaking the Spy and the Heiress is my new favorite of the Billionaire Protection Romances. Gage and Cass are awesome and so much fun to watch not just fall for each other, but to watch Gage discover love with Jesus because of Cass sharing the Saviors’ love. Wonderful book!

Excellent Book!

Very interesting and enjoyable story. Cassie has a situation with her life as a wealthy family and a beautiful woman. She never knows if they like her for herself or for what she has. She is assigned bodyguards constantly. A very interesting bodyguard was assigned to her, Gage. What a story after that.

A Great Set of Sweet Romances

I loved all of these romances! The first story is fabulous, because he saves the day and I love how her dad tells her it’s okay. Then the next story is awesome in that she helps him overcome his abandonment issues and learn to love the children in the orphanage. Great stories!

Great read

This was a quick, short, but great read. Cassie's dad hired Gabe to get to know her and be her boyfriend to protract her from danger without telling her the truth. But what happens when Gabe realizes he loves her and the truth is revealed.
Looking forward to reading of her boos.

MAtchmaking the Spy and the Heiress

Loved reading this story on a young wealthy woman who had gone to Costa Rica to look after some children in a day camp when she met a young man who had been hired by her father to be her bodyguard as well as her boyfriend. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Pretending until it is Not

Gage is assigned to protect a wealthy business man's beautiful daughter (Cassie). Gage is briefed on Cassie and knows all about her. Meeting her is going to be easy. Promising to protect her and not get involved is not going to be a challenge for him. Or is it?

It doesn't take long to fall in love with the right person. This is a great read for the younger gen

Really enjoyed the Christian aspect for a romance without the need for explicit sex. Great read for old and young

Best Yet

Cami just gets better with the romance, the plot, the twists, and the characterizations. Better than all of those is that she writes fast, so we often have a wonderful new adventure to read.

Church and state, yada

Who says religion and international spies and sweet little kids and romance can't coexist? I love the fact that Gage can come to Jesus and still be a complete stud. What a beautiful story!

Gage and Cassie have an enjoyable light-hearted flirtation while both fall in love. I love the interaction between them. Their chemistry is amazing but Gage holds himself back. Discovering that her dad hired him guts her and then him when she sends him away. Very enjoyable read.

I really like the book and Cami’s writing style but this felt like a novella. I think she could have developed the story more and added more depth to the scenes.
