Ever since she arrived in Cornwall, Mercy Willow has been aware of a woman who died in mysterious circumstances. She's glimpsed flashes of this woman's story, but now she's forced to face the horrifying truth about one of Candleward's darkest secrets.
Many years ago, Olive Atkins was a local woman who came face to face with ghosts. Like Mercy, Olive struggled to set things right. Like Mercy, Olive had an unusual ability to connect with the dead. And like Mercy, Olive had an unwelcome guest along for the ride.
Mercy has always believed that she's unique. As she discovers more about Olive's life and death, however, she comes to realize that someone else might have faced the same horrors and demons. And that person's fate serves as a warning for Mercy as she finally starts to remember the truth about her own past.
The Haunting of Olive Atkins is the twelfth and penultimate book in the 13-part Mercy Willow series, about an estate agent in deepest Cornwall who develops the unusual ability to communicate with ghosts. Readers are advised to start at the beginning of the series. This book ends on a cliffhanger.

Just finished reading the Haunting of olive Atkins by @amycrossbooks and when I tell you that it had me throwing the fucking book across the room 😅😭 so much went down in book twelve. the last like 60 pages so much is revealed it was one thing after another amy knows how to keep you on the edge WHAT THE FUCK 😑 the character development, the plot, the twists and turns were unreal!! Immediately diving into book 13 (the last book, unfortunately) 5/5
One more book Amy and then maybe another one of your series I will always love mercy and Nathan and lily all the characters are so real and neat. Jessica and my Serena are so much alike. I realize that to you this is a story to me I live part of it never mind thank you Christine Dunne and Serena bates.
At last Mercy's past is revealed - some great twists, turns and surprises. The characters fit well in the plot and I liked the first-person narrative.
There were numerous errors, typos and American words and spelling, so a thorough edit /proofread is necessary. Cornish people do not say flashlight, for example.
This book was just as good as the redt of this series. I think there is only one more book. I have really enjoyed reading these. I didn't want to put it down.
This is the last book in the series about Mercy Willow, and it just keeps getting more and more interesting. I really hope you have been reading this series in order, that's the only way you will know the storyline, I can hardly wait.
