This is a three-day love affair turned forever, so don't expect too much since it's a novella. But I had fun with it, and I'm planning to read all the books in this series. 😂 What's with my obsession with lumberjack stories these last few days. 😅
Anywaaay, into the story, Quinn (23), fled from the police after her evil sister falsely accused her of starting a house fire. She didn't know what to do, so she ran deep into the forest and got caught in a snowstorm. Ivor (41) heard her call for help and just came in time before she froze to death.
They let the storm pass and did lots of things while staying cozy in his cabin. Fun times, right? 😉
She eventually confronted her sister again, and put that mean girl in her place. Deservedly, so. 💅😒
Anyhoo, once everything settled, Ivor asked Quinn to stay with him, and you know it, she said yes and it's HEA for them. 😍

A sweet story, quick moving and easy to read
Quinn needed saving and Ivar was the perfect hero for her. It's beautiful when two lonely people find eachother and even better when they get to save eachother. Quinn was the thing Ivar didn't know he was missing, while Ivar was the hero she needed to complete her life. The story goes from her hoping to reconcile with her sister, to being on the run and beyond, nearly impossible to stop reading it once you start!

Esse livro foi bem legal. Eu amo as histórias da autora, seus protagonistas e a forma como eles se conectam e interagem, como se apaixonam e se entregam, e aqui não foi diferente. Só não dei a nota máxima porque algumas atitudes e comportamentos da Quinn me incomodaram um pouco. Por exemplo, a irmã dela obviamente armou pra ela, mas a mocinha custou a sacar. Ficava achando que a irmã estava em choque, que poderia ter alguma outra explicação... sendo que a mulher sempre a odiou, e agora que a mãe delas tinha morrido, odiava mais ainda. Esse excesso de ingenuidade não foi realista.
Outra coisa que não curti foi o fato de Quinn esconder a verdade de Ivor. No começo tentei entender, mesmo querendo que ela se abrisse para a pessoa que a salvara, pois ela não o conhecia e ainda não sabia se podia confiar nele. Mas depois, quando finalmente achei que a verdade viria à tona, ela contou só parte dela. Deixou o principal de fora e isso me deu uma angústia, achando que tudo iria desandar. O meu lado que odeia drama ficou feliz de Ivor ter aceitado tudo de boas, mas uma parte de mim também não achou realista essa reação dele, principalmente com o histórico que ele tinha. Senti que algo ali foi desperdiçado, seja a agonia que passei à toa imaginando uma reação negativa dele, seja a chance perdida de dar uma movimentada na história quando ele descobriu a verdade.
Reclamações à parte, no geral a história foi muito boa e se Quinn tivesse agido um pouquinho diferente, com certeza o livro teria levado a nota máxima. Mesmo assim, gostei demais e recomendo!

Quinn was running away from her sister and her boyfriend because when she arrived at their house it was on fire and they tried blaming her so she ran into the woods. After getting lost, she starts getting cold, scared. Only thing she could do is s real for help before she died out in the forest alone for something she didn't do.
Ivor hears cries in the woods and follows the sound. Living in the forest alone for over twenty years, he's surprised to hear a human cry. Following the sound, he finds a young woman curled in a ball shivering. He takes her back to his cabin to warm her up. The next day he explains how he found her.
The snow was really coming down outside, so he rescued her just in time. Over the next few days they end up getting to know each other very well. They both have secrets but are afraid to share. Then after he saves her again, this time from a mountain lion after going for a little walk to clear her head. This time things change between them.
They give themselves to each other. First time for both and it won't be the last.
Ivor and Quinn both open up about the secrets that they have kept to themselves. Once Ivor hears Quinn's story he seeks out a retired sheriff to help clear her name.
Once all is said and done, Quinn decided to stay with her lumberjack and live the life she's always wanted with someone that loved her and that she loved him.

When their mother had died, she'd left everything to Quinn. Her sister and her lousy boyfriend spent all their money on drugs, but all of Quinn's family was gone now except her sister. So, she'd go try to make peace and celebrate her birthday. It was a trap! Her sister's house was on fire and firetrucks & police were arriving. Her sister and boyfriend were screaming that Quinn had been the one to set the house on fire and they should arrest her. She decided to run into the Wildwood Forest and save herself. She ran until she couldn't run anymore, and she was lost and in the middle of a blizzard. She collapsed into the snow, but just a minute before blacking out she screamed for help. She saw a giant coming towards
her. Then darkness overcame her. When she comes to, she is in a warm cabin and is covered in warm blankets. The giant is just a large man and had saved her life. It's just the first time he will have saved her life.

Part of the Crave County Wildwood Forest each book can be read as a standalone in under an hour or so with a sexy lumber jack and the women he protects. Quin is a curvy sweetheart with a sister who idk isn’t the best sister who blamed her for trying to burn down their home down when in fact she and her boyfriend set the housefire and Quinn ran directly into a storm not really realizing how fast the storm was going to hit. Ivor sexy as all get out lumber jack prepared for storms but when he hears a cry for help his heart won’t allow him to protect himself and finding a beautiful young women trying to understand why or how she ended up out in a storm is beside the point getting her warmed up and safe is the goal. While helping her they get to know each other the attractions is instant, intense and neither can ignore the magnetic pull between them but will he want a women who is running from the law, who was blamed for starting a housefire, can she help him heal from his trauma, will her sister get what she deserves, will they figure out the truth, and can they find happiness in the small cabin?.

The action starts in Crave County, when Quinn's sister, Kimmy screams to the police that Quinn set their house on fire and tried to kill them. Quinn saw no choice, since apparently, her sister had set her up somehow, but she took off running into Wildwood Forest. She ran, unable to move further, but it had began to snow with the temperature falling majorly. She was to the point, she no longer felt cold, but she yelled for help one last time. Ivor had to cut his day cutting trees short with the snow coming in, but he heard a noise just as he was getting home like someone yelling for help. He went to check finding the most gorgeous woman curled in a ball. He picked her up taking her back to his place. It was like a discovery of two lost souls meeting. They had a real attraction that they needed to develop into trust in one another. Ivor was soon Quinn's Knight as he was always rescuing her from from something. A wonderful story of insta-love on the mountain a perfect read for a break or before bedtime.

This is a quick instalove, mountain man read. Quinn doesn’t have the best relationship with her sister. But now that their mother has passed, she has hopes that maybe that can change. When invited to over for her sister’s birthday she doesn’t hesitate. Her sister has other plans than a party though. Quinn finds herself running through the woods during a blizzard from the police because of her sister. Ivor doesn’t hesitate to help the woman he finds passed out in the snow while heading back to his cabin. She is so much younger than him but he feels this pull towards her. Quinn feels the same way. However how will Ivor feel when he learns why she was out during the storm? Will he believe her? This book was a great a read. It moves at a fast pace but has more of a story than some other books like it. I look forward to reading more books in this series. Hopefully these characters will make an appearance in other books in the series. Great job Clara.

Loved it! Ivor is this huge, giant, handsome mountain man/lumberjack who just happens to save Quinn- over and over again!
Between a crazy sister, almost getting hypothermia, and being attacked by a mountain lion, she’s definitely not having the best of luck. Ivor has lived alone in the mountains for a really long time, he thinks he’s happy and content. But when Quinn barges into his life, bringing chaos along with her, he realizes what he’s been missing. And now that he’s had a couple days of happiness with her, he knows he doesn’t want to let her go and go back to living alone.
I really have been loving Clara’s stories. I love how she writes her men, and my only complaint is I wish they were longer! Her books are so sweet, and good, I can’t put them down, and before I know it they’re over! And I’m left wanting more!!

This was a really short novella I read in one night I couldn't sleep, as one does. There isn't anything particularly interesting about this one, but it was also not entertainingly bad, which I often prefer to dull romances.
The conflict in this book and the manner of solving it lacked focused and was done just so there was something in the book to bring our golden retriever lumberjack (who is not grumpy, just seems to be) and our sunshine heroine. It was very cartoonish and very silly, but whatever, what can one do in 80 pages if the reader also wants some nice spicy scenes and a lot of cabin in the woods warm moments, right?
Not great, not terrible. I am however interested in continuing the series because the next hero sounds a whole lot grumpier - but I am not going to pay for these novellas. I will wait for the next time they are free on Kindle.

Claimed By The Lumberjack is book one in the Crave Country series by Clare King. It's a quick, entertaining story, perfect for reading on a break or before bed, to get you out of a book slump, or to read in between books.

This is book number 1 of the Crave County: Wildwood Forest series and focuses on Ivor and Quinn. When Quinn discovers that her sister set her up for something she didn’t do, she runs into the nearby forest. She didn’t expect to get caught up in a blizzard nor did she expect to have Ivor hear her pleas for help. Ivor has spent years living alone in the forest so he is surprised when he hears someone call out for help. Nothing can prepare him for what he feels when he rescues Quinn. When he brings her to his cabin it doesn’t take them long at all to fall for each other and realize they had finally found their other halves. This was a great story and a great start to the series.

'Claimed by the Lumberjack' was riveting and steamy. Its pulsating plot began with a housefire which had been intentionally set by Quinn's sister Kimmie and her sister's boyfriend Travis. What could possibly occur after Kimmie and Travis turned the tables on Quinn and told the authorities that Quinn had tried to burn their home down? Oh no! Quinn ran away from the scene and happened upon Ivor, the lumberjack! With the aid of Ivor's neighbor Griffin, a retired sheriff, would Quinn be able to clear her name? I liked the fascinating narrative.

I loved Claimed by the Lumberjack Crave County: Wildwood Forest. Quinn is literally running for her life. Her sister has betrayed her and now she has to get away. Ivor heard a cry for help and found Quinn freezing. What was she doing out in this weather? Ivor quickly helps Quinn recover and they grow close. However, when he finds out the whole truth will he still want Quinn or will it spell disaster? I love this series. I loved this storyline and the characters. I can’t wait to read Griffin’s book. I would definitely recommend this book.

Part of the Wildwood Forest series. Quinn has been set up by her sister and her sister’s boyfriend to take the fall for something she didn’t do. Ivor comes to her rescue after running through the forest in the midst of a snowstorm and almost dying of hypothermia. Ivor prefers a life of solitude after losing the only family he’s ever known. One look at Quinn has all his protective feelings on high alert and has him rethinking his lonely lifestyle. This was a quick steamy read with a younger independent woman and an older lumberjack that will do anything to keep his woman protected and loved. A fairly quick read that manages to pack a great story into some hot romance. Quinn is set up by her sister and runs away to avoid arrest. Lost in a snowstorm in a forest, things do not look good. Until Ivor a lonely Lumberjack comes to her rescue. Insta love, hot steamy attraction but is it enough to prove her innocence?
I loved this book, so good, so much action and heat in a short read. Cannot wait to read the mysterious Griffin’s story.

First time reading this author. I really enjoy a good Lumberjack/Mountain Man book. The MMC (Ivor) saves the FMC (Quinn) multiple times. Quinn is on the run, being accused of something she didn’t do. When police show up looking for her, Ivor protects her. Quinn assumes Ivor won’t believe her story but he does, showing that no matter what the situation, he believes in her and has her back. No drama at all between Ivor and Quinn. Very sweet and steamy read. Looking forward to next book in series.

This was a wild reading ride for me and I have to say, for a short story, it sure had a lot packed into it :) Quinn ends up on the run from the police and is saved from hypothermia from Ivor, a mountain man with baggage. Their chemistry was off the charts and soon enough, love blooms between them. However, she isn't free to move on with her life without dealing with her own baggage. With some help, they devise a plan to get the true baddies their just desserts and I loved how that played out ;P I enjoyed this steamy romance and look forward to the next book :D

Quinn's sister tried to frame her for her house burning down, she runs into the forest to escape the police but gets stuck in a snow storm. Ivor is a lumberjack, he hears Quinn's cries for help and rescues her from the storm. They are both attracted to each other, but will Ivor want anything to do with Quinn when he hears why she ended up in the woods. Will he believe that she is innocent.

I didn't hate or love this novella. I thought it was intriguing and kept my interest through the whole thing. I didn't care for the epilog (if you read this, then you know what I'm probably referring to), and I got a little annoyed with how many times she was called "curvy." Yes, I love seeing bigger women get the spotlight, but it doesn't have to be mentioned so many times.
I did think this was an entertaining and quick read, though, and I do suggest it. I just don't think it's for ME, but I could see how it could be for someone else.

Quinn (h23) is on the run from police and collapses as a blizzard starts to come down in the forest only to be rescued by reclusive lumberjack Ivor (H41). This is a short, instant love story. The characters meet by chance. Ivor, the lumberjack alone in the woods. Quinn is lost in the woods running from the sheriff. The characters are sweet, tender hearted and down to earth. Ivor wants to keep Quinn safe. Quinn is starting to enjoy spending time with Ivor. This is a sweet, sweet story. Very entertaining.

A wonderful short story. Quinn is on the run from the police and get saved in a blizzard from Ivor a reclusive lumberjack. As they are closed in his small cabin their attraction heats up. Finally the truth comes out. Will Ivor be there for Quinn. Sweet insta love story, family drama, and sizzling heat. Great story.

Love this series.
The newest addition to the Crave mountain series. This time it's Ivor's turn. He rescues a damsel in distress from the cold temp of the forest but she is holding secrets to herself very close. Ivor has his own secret that no one knows about. Love this series with each character and insta love. Can't wait to read all about Griffin. He will certainly have a tale to tell.

Loved it
I loved this book. Clara King is a new author to me. She didn't disappoint. Ivor and Quinn are perfect for each other. He's secluded in the Wildwood Forest and she is running from her sister. When he finds her face first in the snow he will do anything and everything to protect her. Quinn is love struck the second she sees Ivor. Can she love this burly lumberjack when she doesn't really know him?
