Yesterday I was a normal woman on Earth, today I’m the daughter of the most known human in the universe. Andy I’m pretty sure I was kidnapped by accident. That’s what the alien said, but he found something more exciting in my DNA scan. He’s going to sell me to the highest bidder until his ship is overrun by space pirates. My life is saved--for now—by a handsome green alien. I’m instantly drawn to him—or it’s the trauma and depression. Things are starting to unravel, there’s a bounty on my head, and I don’t believe space is the best place for me. Chex
I've avoided Imperium politics for years as a space pirate. Then one day, my ship course-corrects toward a known slaver ship, and on board, I find something that will change my life. Nobody knows anything about their human captive, but the amount of credits speaks volumes. And for some reason, I can't keep my tail to myself after bringing her aboard my own ship. And then, I take her to dinner with an influential contact of mine, and all hell breaks loose. Protecting her is my life's goal now, and I can't do that in open space. But taking her to my homeworld means accepting the mating bond between us, something I'm not sure either of us is ready for. If they capture us, she'll die on screens across the galaxy, innocent or not. And my heart will die with her.
Not sure how to describe this mess of a "story." At 35%, the female lead had been kidnapped 3x. The crew that saved her was being sent off on some odd mission directed by a person who, during a dinner, suspected the female lead of murder and began shouting. The female lead escaped and went back to the crew's ship, where she was.greeted.by other crew members as if nothing happened. A green lizard guy got into a fight with the male lead, then wasn't mentioned again, but the crew was concerned about the female lead's safety.
There's so so much missing info here that it gave me a headache. Bad guys seem to appear and fight, but then disappear without resolution. WTAF?
Clearly, there's going to be a templated HEA, but in the meantime, lots of weird, unexplained crap happens. Also, the female lead speaks as if she isn't an adult but is maybe 14. The male lead inexplicably pretends he's not attracted to her because his species doesn't do that. There's a plant based species that appears to direct everyone in some ways. There's also a cat that came with the female lead that's not a cat but another species that speaks telepathically to the female.lead, but offers up no info about anything.
I stopped about 40% because this very poorly edited book made my head hurt. This is the kind of book that gives that self-publishing world a very bad name.
This author needs a good proofreader and editor. This book read like a first draft. I don't even know why I continued to read. The characters whom could have been interesting were written flat. I simply did not care for any of them. As for the romance, there was none. There was badly written sex but zero romance.
The main character was actually infuriating and the fact that no one put anything together before the end of it was the most genuinely unbelievable part of a book about aliens and humans having sex.
I got to 98% and still DNF’d This sucked not in the usual ‘alien smut with crappy writing and no plot way’ but TSTL FMC and everything was soooo predictable I just couldn’t
The bland sentence structure and matter-of-fact storytelling leave something to be desired. Here’s an excerpt:
“Orequin giggled as we stopped at a juncture of halls. Chex was standing with his back toward me. He was looking out a window into the stars of space. He was wearing a black suit. His green skin was glimmering under the station lights. His hair was pulled back in a neat braid. I sucked in a breath as I bit my bottom lip. This alien was incredibly handsome. A slow simmer of desire burned in my belly.”
A reveal of the MMC looking good in a cleaned-up outfit ought to evoke some kind of feeling in the reader, some anticipation maybe? But it’s just so *blah*! There’s never any emotional weight to any of it.
In my ebook, the Chex section at the end of chapter 10 and the one at the beginning of chapter 11 are copy-pastes of one other, so that’s an embarrassing editing fail.
The plot jumps around haphazardly while the idiotic MCs lie to each other constantly for no reason. All of the book’s “mysteries”were super obvious. At least the spicy scenes were competent.
This was an interesting book that was a little hard to get through but ill glad I finished it. Andy is a human female that gets abducted from Earth by a slaver but as it turns out she was supposed to be killed but when the alien scans her DNA he gets very excited and decides to sell her to the highest bidder but before it can take place his spaceship is attacked by pirates and she is saved by a gorgeous Green alien that she feels drawn to. Chex is a Byntor space pirate who try’s to stay away from politics but when his spaceship heads towards a slaver ship he and his crew board it and when Chex finds a human female that nobody knows anything about but the credits on her a huge for capture or kill that will be broadcast across the universe and I take her on board my ship for protection and the physical attraction I have for her is off the charts and I find it hard to keep my tail and hands to myself. I don’t know why everyone wants he dead or who they think I am but with Chex by my side I know he will look after me and when he touches me I tingle all over and I want him bad and even Onyx my cat likes him too but I don’t feel safe in space with everyone out to get me but Chex has a plan that will save them both. How does it all turn out and do they find out why they want Andy dead and can they have a future together or not.

"Lol, no." Does that a review make? I'm very tempted to leave it at that because I read about 10% of this before I decided to skip, but I suppose it's worth explaining why.
We spend the first chapter in a pretty bad exposition of the heroine getting to bed then being abducted. We get a flashback that makes no sense. The writing is, at best, flat. At worst, it makes no effort to attempt to build something meaningful, and the entire chapter is meaningless since it doesn't add anything significant about the heroine.
The second chapter is along with the hero, where we get what's meant to be some banter (?) or casual conversation between the crew before they somehow land upon the ship that abducted the heroine. There's not much reason to why they decide to board and attack the ship aside from suspecting it involves humans.
Nothing makes sense, and basically neither of these chapters delivers a reason to care, any cohesive plot elements, or a character that looks like they might be worth following around.
Therefore I'll go spend my time elsewhere. Good luck to anyone else having a go, I don't encourage it.
On the eve of her late mother’s birthday, Andy (h) and her cat, Onyx, are abducted from Earth by an alien who was supposed to kill her but instead plans to make a huge profit selling her. Byntor space pirate Chex (H) suddenly finds he and his crew en route to intercept a slaver ship when his ship course-corrects on its own. Chex rescues Andy and finds himself drawn to her and needing to protect her. Andy, Chex, and his crew embark on a journey with lots of action, adventure, and drama as they confront a vast array of enemies seemingly intent on killing Andy. As Andy and Chex spend time together, their relationship deepens and things slowly heat up between the two, but when they do it is hot and steamy. Andy has come to realize that her past is not what it seems, and isn’t sure who she can trust, even Chet, much less the strange alien she’s in contact with while she sleeps. Hot and steamy slow burn fated mates romance with lots of action and adventure. Loved Onyx and Orequin.
I really loved the story 'Saved by the Alien Pirate' by S. R. Griffith. It was so exciting and adventurous and romantic. It begins with a woman being kidnapped from Earth and she is saved from her kidnappers by an alien pirate and his crew. She does not know why several beings are trying to capture her and do her harm. Her alien pirate protects her, and she feels a strong bond with him. He in turn does not want to let her out of his sight as he feels the same. Together they try to unravel several mysteries as to who she really is and how she factors in the future of the universe. Along with the help of the crew she is also aided by her cat who she mysteriously has been able to communicate with since she has been in space.

I totally got into this story at first. The plot and world-building were lovely, with the potential to be truly epic. The suspense built beautifully, teasing an incredible ending—or maybe a cliffhanger. I looked up to see if there was another book, only to find that the next in the series had different leads (characters that were mentioned in this book).
The spice was a slow burn, and the pacing worked for most of the book. However, the buildup led to a rushed, flat conclusion that lacked substance. The FMC started strong—independent and self-aware—but became self-centered as the story progressed, which felt disappointing.
Despite these flaws, the suspense kept me hooked, and the alien pirate love interest carried the story. While I wish the FMC’s arc had been consistent and the ending had more depth, the world-building and overall plot made this an enjoyable read.
Loved it! While emotions are engulfing Andy on her deceased mother's birthday, an alien abducts her. Rescue comes in the form of a ship full of "sorta good" space pirates. You know the kind. Rob from the rich. Give to the poor. Although, Captain Chex isn't having much luck at running any pirating missions, as this little human has totally enraptured him and turned his life upside down. There is plenty of action, as Andy has become a hot commodity in the universe. She has enemies trying to capture her from multiple angles. Chex and his crew have their hands full trying to keep her safe. This was a fun read. I hope the author continues with more stories in this universe.
My first read from this author and I did not like the writing style. A “might have been” interesting story was told but it felt flat, choppy, predictable and incomplete. The only feeling invoked was frustration. With the h, she made some really bad decisions for no reason and was impossible to actually care about. With all the characters being written as too stupid to see the obvious. With the H for telling us he’s strong but written as weak. Also, in almost every scene one of the characters would say “I’ll be back” and leave to check on something. I never figured out what they were doing or why.
I am a huge fan of the Aien fated mate genre. That being said, this is an excellent example of such! Snatched from earth to be killed, Andy's entire world and her understanding of it are tossed into chaos. The very hot alien Chex has rescued her from her captors. Andy always felt as if she didn't really belong and maybe next to this big hottie is right where she was meant to be. A great adventure filled with excitement and a bit of steamy bonus! I can hardly wait for the sequel!
This is one of the Best stories I've read lately 😃. I was lucky and got this book for low cost, books nowadays can be very expensive 🤑. I truly enjoyed reading this story, lots of action, intense situations, yummy sexy scenes, nasty bad guys and wonderfully different alien characters 😄. Thanks so much S.R. I'm truly looking forward to reading more of this series 🤓.
Great start to this new series and I can’t wait to read more with the heroine who s abducted from earth by an alien who plans to sell her, the hero and his crew of pirates rescue the heroine and together they have one hell of an adventure with danger, suspense, drama, mysteries, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages and highly recommend this book.
This was an awesome read! There was so much going on, every chapter was exciting. Andy was some thing else, so full of anger and totally lost in space. And Chex, was so sweet but clueless. I can’t believe how long it took the crew to connect the dots! I am really looking forward to the next book. Great world building, secondary characters and overall plot.
The writing was so bad. This definitely needed some proofreading and there was absolutely no depth to the story. The dialogue felt so flat and 2D that I cringed the whole time, and the fact that the ‘twist’ is so obvious, it’s infuriating no one puts two and two together. Definitely a tell and don’t show book.
Can’t continue. Alien smut books are not worth this torture.
I have a ton of reviews to write tonight so this will be short and sweet. I did not like this at all. I did not like the main girl character she drove me crazy. The story was just okay.
