For the past two years, Cayson and Asher have relentlessly hunted down the dirtbag ringleader of the gangster circus in their small town. The closer they get, the more people get hurt.

Two longtime partners find themselves surrounded during their last call together. The man behind their problems is finally within reach but quickly, circumstances change. Now, while Asher pays the price, Cayson deems himself solely responsible for reestablishing justice.

The last thing he expected to cross his path was her. A petite, freckle faced nurse. All to quickly, work blends with pleasure and lines get crossed.

While tirelessly pursuing those that need to be held accountable, life makes a priority one call, one that Cayson knows Asher would slap the shit out of him for ignoring.

The Peacemaker

Okay, giving me time to process review coming soon…

“This might sound bizarre, but I need you to understand something. When it comes to us, I’m going to need time. I don’t mean that I need things slow. I mean that I need time to experience you. All of you. I’m not looking for a quick fix. I’m looking for THE fix.”

Okay. This was a slow burn (apart from Cayson’s very spicy dreams) but fast paced.

Just WOW! What a whirlwind! Fast action, spicy, and everything not so nice 😜 There's so much to unpack with this and I'm sure I'll be going back to read it again for any possible hidden details! I couldn't get enough of Cayson and Asher. I'd love to know what was going through Wren's head the whole time! Can't wait to see what happens next!

A definite must read!!

This book is a tease at first, and is a slow burn.
Cayson and Asher are out on a mission to take down a very bad guy, when Asher is injured leaving him hospitalized. Cayson and Asher are partners on the police force so Cayson is often in the hospital where he meets Wren a beautiful nurse. The two grow fond of each other and there are some electrical moments between them.

I am not going to spoil the rest but the ending throws you for a huge loop!! Not to mention there is a major plot twist when you discover who the guy they are chasing down is. The ending will definitely leave you on a cliffhanger that will make your brain wonder what just happened.

This book does have trigger warnings so please be sure to read those.

Great read, I gave this book an overall 4.25 star rating. I was very drawn into the plot and the spice between the main characters. Some parts of the story were a little unrealistic, but this is fiction, so I still found it pretty entertaining. Would have liked a little more on the “bad guys” and the scenario, but the author left with one heck of a cliffhanger in the last sentence of the book. So I suspect I will get the information I am wanting from the next book! Cannot wait to read the next one!

I was so excited to read this and it did NOT disappoint!!

I loved how we have our MMC as a vulnerable, stressed, and worried and then almost immediately the "plot twist" walks in. I love that this book was fast paced and had all the little quirks to keep you invested long the way. When the smut starts happening it is just the icing on the cake! I loved this book and can not wait for the second one!

Súper Spice and nothing nice

This story took twists and turns I wasn’t expecting. Definitely feel like a whole story was written and then it was edited to make smaller.. I feel like full paraguas were removed?? Idk what do I know, I’m not an author.

The is the debut novel by Vicki Lyn in the Peacemaker series. This is not my usual read but the description had me wanting this book. I do suggest reading in order as you are introduced to several characters that will have major roles within the series.

Boy oh boy is this a whirlwind of a story. We find our MMC Cayson feeling racked with guilt at the start due to his partner being shot during an investigations. What follows is a criminal investigation with a very slow burn romance mixed in that turns very hot about half way through the book. Wren is the FMC of this story. A Nurse that is taking care of Asher, Cayson's partner. Together they become wrapped up in something a lot bigger than anticipated and they just might not survive.

First, let me say that this book portrayed very accurate feelings and actions of a patrol cop. The details of Cayson's nightmares and all around state of mind were so well written. The mystery surrounding the bad guy, Rydian was not the main focus, Wren and Cayson's relationship was. I enjoyed that aspect and the twists at the end blew my mind. I have got to say that the very last line of the book had me screaming..WTF??? Such a fantastic book that I truly enjoyed. I need book 2 after that cliffhanger to see where this goes!
