Jack

Chameleon is a brothel unlike any other.

You got a fantasy? We’ve got the girls and rooms to make it happen. Well, I do.

I’m a d*ckhead, I’m unyielding, I’m the f*cking boss!

I set the rules – you follow them, it’s that simple.

I don’t offer second chances and I don’t mix business with pleasure.

Megan

I ran away. All the way to Scotland and I’m never going back!

Limited job offers leave me no choice but to apply for a position at my friend’s work.

When Jack mistakes me for a ‘working girl’ I instantly hate his guts!

That doesn’t stop me from thinking that he’s hot as hell.

But I don’t have time for complications, I gotta keep running before my past catches me.

family is who we choose

Megan running from her past ends up in Scotland. In a strange place and not knowing anyone and nothing to her name she meets Dianne who helps her. When she finds herself unemployed Dianne suggests a job at Chameleon. This is where she meets Jack but first impressions where not good. When her past comes looking for her in the present Jack wants to help. Family is who we choose.

This was a good book. Megan had a fiery personality but her past has shaped who she is. Told in DPOV ends with a HEA.

This book had me feeling a whole heap of emotions from start to finish. The world building was fantastic.
I loved Jack and Megan from the very start.
These two are a forever thing!
There are so many funny and cute even crazy lines I want to use in my review but sadly Amazon wouldn’t approve hahaha.
We all need a love like this!
We also need friends like these, who are always there for you and have your back.
I can’t wait for the journey the rest of the series will take us on

Absolutely love this book. It's hot, sexy, and suspenseful.
A Doubles's use of k*nks was impressive, I know I don't see variety like this very often. And they were done in a way that someone vanilla like myself could enjoy/ learn 😂
The characters are lovable, and intriguing, shocking at times. They make you want more of the story. I honestly couldn't put it down.

Love this book ❤️

The story started out interesting and I liked the story until around chapter 20. The book had a lot of potential but needed work. I feel like this was a rough draft and should have been rewritten a few times then it would have been amazing. I am so disappointed that is not the case.

Their relationship was a little too insta love on Jack's side. Before they even got into a relationship, he was calling Megan his girl. It was also weird to me that Jack's best friend Seth referred to Megan as our girl. The sex scenes were so cringeworthy because of the words used to describe it and the way Megan reacted. I understand that your first time can be painful but she screamed like he was trying to kill her before he even entered her.

When her step dad finally found her, it bothered me that she walked in on her step dad and Jack talking and that she just knew that Jack believed her step dad over her. Since she is a mind reader of course she knew what he was thinking 🙄.

That was an epic twist at the end, though. The twist I didn't see coming, which I liked. The ending did feel rushed which I didn't like.

I can't decide if I want to read Seth's story or not.

I loved this book. From start to finish, I was all in on the rollercoaster of emotions that A. Double invoked in this book. The characters were relatable and loveable. Well, most of them. I genuinely hated the ones she meant for us to hate.
I hope there is more to come, because I need more of everyone at Chameleon!

Enter Chameleon drops readers straight into the gritty, atmospheric world of a Scottish brothel run by the formidably difficult Jack, whose bark is very much matched by his bite. When runaway Megan stumbles into Chameleon looking for legitimate work, the inevitable collision between these two strong-willed characters sets the stage for a steamy dark romance that fans of erotic fiction will find hard to put down.

The premise is engaging and the world-building does enough to make Chameleon feel like a place with its own rules, hierarchy, and atmosphere. Where the book truly shines is in the chemistry between Jack and Megan. Their push-and-pull dynamic crackles with tension, and despite Jack’s self-confessed unyielding nature, there’s enough complexity to make you root for both of them. The characters are relatable, which is no small feat given the heightened setting, and that accessibility keeps the reader invested throughout.

The writing is generally solid and the pace holds up well for the most part. Jack’s dialogue occasionally tips into cringe territory — though it’s worth noting this may simply come down to personal taste, and readers who enjoy a dominant alpha hero delivering his lines with full conviction will likely lap it up.

Where the book could have pushed further is in those moments when Megan’s past begins closing in on her. The threat of her old life unravelling the fragile new beginning she has built for herself in Scotland is rich with dramatic potential, and there are points where you wish the author had planted a foot on the brake — allowed the dread to creep in slowly, let the reader feel the mounting fear alongside Megan rather than moving through it. Those beats deserved a little more room to breathe and fester, building the kind of tension that makes a dark romance truly gripping.

That said, Enter Chameleon is a confident, enjoyable read that delivers on its promises. The central relationship is its beating heart, and the steam and spark between Jack and Megan more than carry the story. A solid addition to the dark romance genre.

I award 4 stars.

I knew when I first saw this cover and read that blurb that I was going to hardcore enjoy this book and A Double did NOT disappoint!!
It was amazing to watch Megan grow. She's had a bit of a rough go after losing a few people dear to her heart. It didn't help when someone who should've protected her just...didn't. I was rooting for her from the very beginning, when she made the choice to change her own life for the better.
Jack is definitely one of my favorite characters, though. Not only did he invent a cute nickname for Megan once their paths crossed but the WAY they met was pretty funny. He gave her the right nickname! Seeing them bond and grow close, I was on the edge of my seat. I was ready for Fate to tie them together. Of course, it wouldn't be an amazing book if the past didn't come calling. The challenge was on Jack to reassure Megan in every way that he could that he was there for her.
Get ready, y'all. There's cute moments...funny moments...and parts where you just want to shake the characters by their shoulders! It's one heck of a ride and I hardcore enjoyed it all.
I highly recommend this book and I look forward to the next one!!!

I loved this book so much. The concept was great, the characters were awesome, but let's start with that awesome meeting lol

What a way to start out for these two characters. It was perfection. Jack is all the hot things, and honestly I wanted to just keep reading even when it ended, because he was the perfect book boyfriend. Megan was running from her past, and what a place to end up!

I don't want to say too much and give away all of the treats and twists in this book, but I loved every minute of it!

Fair warning this book will make you feel things. You will laugh, you will cry, you will fall in love. This book doesn't shy from the dark. The Author knows how to pull emotions from the depths of even this readers soul. rarely am I moved to tears while reading but..... I cried I laughed and the rage I felt I was nearly shaking. So if you want another boring romance I'm sorry to say this isn't for you. If you want to feel the range of emotion including ... passion... that are very explicit look no further. Open the door and .... Enter Chameleon.

I went in blind & I didn’t regret it

I normally dissect the blurb the cover many other details before I read a book.

For this one, I did not, and I did not regret a thing.
And Enter chameleon as a fast paced dark themed romance set in Glasgow.

First you meet Jack, the all business Scotsman who runs a very successful brothel.
Then you meet Megan, the young, ‘on the run’ from a bad past Aussie.

When Megan and Jack meet sparks fly & the past comes calling!

I will tell you no more, go and read it!

I made several posts as I was reading Enter Chameleon telling everyone they needed to read it. It was so good. Dark romance. I learned a lot about the inner workings of the world A. double created.
