"The only way you will ever feel complete is if you fully embrace who you are..."

Alana Knight lived an average life until tragedy struck when she was only sixteen, leaving her to learn how to fend for herself. She spent the next few years picking up odd jobs while living in hotel rooms and her car until she finally saved up enough money to leave Massachusetts with nothing but a backpack full of clothes and the never been opened locket from her mother around her neck. After a long drive, Alana finds herself in a little town called Magnolia Falls, where she will learn that nothing is as it seems.

Just as Alana is settling into her new surroundings, her entire life gets turned upside down when she finds out her whole life has been a lie, and her world is rocked once again. She uncovers a letter from a dead relative, which leads her on the ultimate journey of self-discovery.

What happens when Alana discovers that she is the key to solving a problem in a world that she never knew existed? Can she learn to forgive the ghosts of her past and become one with the new world? Or will she leave them to fend for themselves against darkness and deny her true identity?

No matter what choice she makes, Alana knows that her life will never be the same.

Be sure to check out this first installment of The Magnolia Falls Collection from debut novelist C. Elizabeth Ward. Daughter of Light is an enchanting blend of romance, fantasy, and suspense. If you like thrilling twists and turns, slow-burn romance that builds from sweet to steamy, and fierce women who choose to save themselves, then you'll love this Upper YA/NA Urban Fantasy.

You wouldn’t think this is the author’s first book the way you get caught in by the storyline and the characters.

You start it and then BAM: book is over and you are left waiting impatiently for book 2.

This is a shifter romance where the characters have flaws and the story doesn’t. It is a beautiful gem and you neeeed to read it !!!

This book was a wild ride from start to finish

This book was a wild ride. It definitely gave me a literary ride. It has it all, wolves, vampires, demons, magic, other worlds, twisted threesome love-triangle and a twist at the end that makes you want to dive right into the next book. Give this a read. You won’t be disappointed!!

It's sexy. And the twists and turns leave you on the edge of your seat.

I loved the premise of this book. The writing is generally good and you can get lost in the story. I wanted a little more ‘meat’ when moving through the enemies to lovers storyline - it felt sudden and disconnected at times. Overall, I recommend this book and enjoyed my time in Magnolia Falls :)

It was good but…

This was a good book with an interesting and twisting story. It also could have used an editor. The plot was good the betrayal was good the love was nice, but this book is over 500 pages because it needed an editor
