Windswept
Patrick was once your average, ordinary, 21st-century American. That is to say, he was overweight, under-appreciated, and utterly miserable. He was on track to stay that way for the rest of his life too, but nothing can knock you out of a rut quite like an abrupt landing in an entirely different dimension. A dimension of gods, monsters, and familiar video-game mechanics that promise a life of grand adventure. It’s just too bad that he never got that promise in writing…

Exceptionally fun
An excellent showing from Johnson and an engaging first book. The book perfectly captures a sense of freedom in the beginning, but doesn't shy away from the darker aspects of the story which add real weight to the adventure. I very much enjoyed Windswept and congratulate the author on an excellent book. I would thoroughly recommend and look forward to a hopeful second book!

Refreshing
Its a good isekai, that I recommend if you find the genre has become stale lately. However, I don't like the title. I prefer the original one used when it was published originally on royal road. Windswept seems too generic, for this neat book.
