While Vinaya struggles to understand Tristram's true spirit, he grapples with the guilt and shame of his past life. As love binds them together, they journey to a mystical land called Everclearing that serves as the gateway to heaven. In a desperate appeal to the Ny-Failen of Everclearing, Tristram must prove that he has truly repented of his past sins. But is he worthy of redemption?

In a captivating tale, a wounded demon and a kind-hearted girl cross paths deep within the forest. Unfazed by the demon's mysterious origins, the girl extends her kindness, tending to his injuries with care and compassion. Little does she know that this simple act will set off a chain of events that will test their very existence.

Their bond strengthens as the once-perceived villain reveals his true heroic nature, fiercely protecting the girl from the malevolent forces that threaten their lives. Together, they face her treacherous relatives and the menacing demons from the underworld. Amidst the chaos, their connection deepens, and the demon pledges to lead her to Everclearing—a realm of eternal peace where they can build a tranquil future.

However, the journey to Everclearing is far from straightforward.

The story unfolds with precision, honing in on the intricate relationship between the two central characters. Their growth and development are skillfully depicted, drawing readers into their emotional journey. Yet, while I appreciate the storytelling, I found the girl's unwavering innocence somewhat implausible. Nonetheless, the book delivers an enjoyable and accessible read, offering a brief escape from reality.

At the end, I would like to thank the author and the R&R Book tours for sending ARC my way against honest and unbiased review.

Vinaya meets Tristam when he is in a dire state. She nurses him back to help and they fall in love. Their story has several obstacles to overcome but does end happily. I love a good redemption arc. Seeing Tristam fight his inner demons to become a better being was tough at times he was fighting so hard but also does what he needs to protect Vinaya.

Tristram the Demon is the third book in the Legends of Everclearing series by Wendy L Anderson. I continue to enjoy the works of Wendy L. Anderson and continue to wait impatiently for her next release. The problem with that though, is that I devour it so quickly because I swear, every single one of her stories is just AMAZING.

From the get go, the main characters are introduced. It is interesting how Vinaya and Tristram meet and how this paves the way for what is to come. As always, the characters are described with such imagery that they may as well be sitting in the same room as me. I also love how the author makes every single one of her character unique, with their own personalities and intricate backstories.

It's funny, if you read my past reviews, how I explain the villains of Wendy's books. They are horrid, vile characters but it's amazing that with every book she releases, the villains just keep getting worse (in a good way of course). She has this amazing talent of making villains that you can't help but hate.

I don't want to go into the storyline as once I start I wont' be able to stop, and I just don't want to ruin it for you all. You really just need to read it!

Don't let it put you off that this is Book Three (though IMO you really need to read ALLLLLL of them to appreciate the amazingness that is this series) but you can read this book without reading Books one or two.

I really enjoyed Tristram The Demon, I felt it was a unique story between good and evil, love and desire and what lengths you would go to for the one you love.
Tristram the Demon is book 3 in The Legends of Everclearing series but can be read as a standalone and believe me it can! I haven't read any of the previous ones but didn't struggle to understand this book.

I loved how this novel started off, I found myself wondering just who Tristram was and what was in store for our Vinaya.
The characters were created with a uniqueness to them, Tristram/Tragic was greatly created and I found him fascinating, the quote about bad and good being both halves (slightly vague I know but keeping spoiler free) to me was a clever way of putting it and I thought it was a perfect description of him.
Vinaya was the perfect fit for Tristram and I loved her sweet nature, the ability to see good in the evil and the strength in everything she went through. All the characters created, even the "villains" were molded well.
I really enjoy Wendy L Anderson's writing as she creates worlds that are lavishly built and pull you into the story.

A big bad demon hottie? Count me in.

Vinaya, the girl who was shunned by her Village for being different. Being called a witch and hidden away like she was a burden to everyone.

Tristram, a demon who had to leave hell after showing compassion to a group of women and children, put him in a tough position.

i’m having mixed feelings about this book, while there was conflict in the book. I wish there was just more depth to it than just fighting.

however, I really really enjoyed the caretaker role that Vinaya played for the big bad demon man. I don’t know about y’all, but I love when a big bad character goes soft for the main character. Makes me fluttery☺️ there was also a lot of metaphorical aspects to this book that I enjoyed. Such as though you’ve done bad things, that doesn’t mean you always have to be a bad person. You can still change and rewrite your path.

I liked this book of Tristram, the demon and Vinaya. I would have preferred the demon to be more of one, he is a little less demon and more of a bad boy, just my own personal opinion. He becomes more of a man and less of a demon throughout the book and some people would like this, but I did not prefer this change. I did like that Vinaya and Tristram did stay together and have a child together at the end. The steam was about a 1/5, not too steamy for this book but it was a little bit there. I liked the premise of the fallen, or the Ny-Failen. Overall I liked the story but it did not resonate with me personally because I like a strong beastly man, not the changing for love type of man. I would recommend this book to others who like the change for love theme in books, they might enjoy this story.

It’s the characters – it’s always the characters with this author. While many of her books can be woven together, each one reads delightfully on its own. There is a sense of ease when reading this author, that comes from a familiar environment, the well-developed world she creates, the rich characters and the lore of good versus evil. This exploration of good vs. evil not just pulls the reader in but keeps you happily and snuggly tucked in for the duration.

Can a woman who believes herself to be a beast find herself and at the same time help a demon find his true self? And together, can they conquer all that is needed to find their true place in the world?

Well developed and always a joy to return to, this author’s name is enough of a pull for me to pick up any of her books.
