They both rocked the stage. The only difference; he was a guitarist, she was an exotic dancer.
Tyler "Fast Flick" Handro never let an opportunity slip. Especially when it included pretty girls. After two years of touring, barhopping and playing a game of darts felt like coming home again. Using it as a lousy setup to gain her phone number? Absolutely! Because, goddamn, his teammate certainly did not leave things unfazed. And he didn't just mean the bad boy in his pants. Because playing a song in front of thousands of fans in his boxer shorts to win her back probably meant she could have tattooed her name on his heart.
Chenoa Cipriani kept herself on a down-low. Well, as much as a stripper could. Until she caught this cheeky guy's attention. And she wasn't even twirling around a pole. Daddy issues aside, he probably would be cocky enough not to help her overcome those, anyway. And sure, he would not find out what she did for a living before she had her ducks in a row, right? She was wrong on so many levels. Deceiving the ones she loved was in her blood, after all.
Devi Duarta is, although quite introverted—except when writing and reading steamy books—quite bold in her wardrobe and... I mean, pink hair! She loves metalcore music, bowling, and car karaoke (when she's by herself, of course).
Chenoa, an exotic dancer meets Tyler, a guitarist of a metalcore band and they have an instant attraction. Tyler very much wants to see her again, but Chenoa is hesitant. After some encouragement from her best friend she caves and gives him a chance. Their relationship starts out as casual, physical attraction. However, the more time they spent together the deeper the feelings are getting. The overall romance between Chenoa an Tyler was enjoyable, there was chemistry and see the relationship move into something with emotions was beautiful. I liked that Chenoa had a little bit more going on beneath the surface. The history she has with men explains her hesitation towards Tyler. The rockstar setting was fun. The band seemed like a tight knit group and gave off some kind of family vibes. And the spice.... there is plenty of sexual tension between our main characters... For me, the overall story did was a bit to ordinary to me. There was nothing wrong with it and I had a good time reading it, but was waiting for something that would make the book really stand out. The whole rock star that is falling for the woman who is not immediately impressed is enjoyable, but feels familiar. The turns the book took where expected and didn't surprise me. Despite my criticism I never disliked the book. This was a fun and easy read and I enjoyed reading. It just didn't have the wow factor for me to make the rating higher.
I got this book as an arc and I am so glad that I had this opportunity.
I loved that this book was about a metal band instead of the most used lead singer of a pop band or something like that. The vibes throughout this book was just amazing I was hooked from the start. I thought in the beginning that Tyler would be the one pushing her away but no tChenoa was the one because she was afraid that she was not good enough for him because of her career. I missed her revelation like we had from him on why it was not important and all the other things why she said yes on that stage to him. I also would had loved to see more of both of there careers like the composing of new songs.
I loved that I kept reading. The famous phrase of one moe chapter and I go to bed was not working with this one. The writing style of this auther is really good and the smut was not to mutch but it was goood!
I also leave here a little lyrics that we got at the end and I loved it:
“No lungs to breathe, there’s this girl who keeps my life in her hands. I’m not giving up, refusing this defeat. A dissappointment was what I’d become ‘cause I let you swallow me whole. Never doubt yourself, sweetheart. You got this thick-skulled m*therf*cker at your mercy. Oh, I couldn’t it be more like the days we had before. Fuck these excused, fuck these days I long to have you. I’ll crawl on these bloodstained knees. Whatever you do, don’t stop stripping my heart Oh yeah, you’re stripping my heart “

Fast Flick follows the story of Tyler and Chenoa. Tyler is just back from a world tour with his band, Chenoa works as a strip- I mean exotic dancer. It is incredibly exciting to see their relationship unfold, since Tyler is a no-commitment kind of guy, but falls so hard for Che he can't even think straight and Chenoa is keeping her proffession secret. All of their encounters are hot and steamy!
Both of the characters are layered and so well written.
I absolutely love the guys of As Madness Thrives! Love them to bits. I swear if they were a real band, I'd be their biggest fan and not only because they make bad-ass music, but because of the people they are. Okay, well, Dante scares me, but then again, he probably scares everybody. Elec is absolutely boundry-less, which makes him such an interesting character to follow. Trac seems so sweet and loyal, although he's the one I know least about. Rover is outgoing and crazy, even though he's dealing with so much. And Tyler... Tyler is so fcking hot. This is his book.
I had a chance to read Rover's book before reading Fast Flick and I've got the author to thank for that. It's certainly something to look forward to! The connections between the two books were so incredibly well done and I loved it.
The confident boyish Tyler fell first and hard for exotic dancer Chenoa, who would not want to read about that!
I received a ARC edition for Fast Flick, send by Griffin Publishing and very much enjoyed reading it.
Tyler has that boyish charm, knows what he wants and certainly loves his sexist jokes, he went threw a lot of character development in the story and definitely learned how to yearn for his girl. The build up to the spice was really good. Chenoa has confidence in her job but lacks some in real life, loved their chemistry. She sure made him work to get her (as she should) 😉
The plot on the stage did not complety made sense to me, i thought they were removing the shirts to show some message on their body? I do get that it has to do with Chenoa her job, but it didn't 100% click with me.
Rover also cracked me up!! He is almost like a brother to Tyler and the funniest character in the story, would love to read more about him in a next book. If you love a great romance with yearning, humour, well written spice, and the man having to work for his girl, then this is your story!
I received an ARC copy of this book. Everyone deserves love even those that think they don't. This follows Tyler and Chenoa. He is a rockstar and she is a stripper their worlds colloide in a beautiful way but she believes she is not worthy of any love he goes through alot to show her she is worthy. I loved the banter between them and the banter between the band members. I loved how she developed and he stood by her no matter what. And then let us not forget dear Rover, he has a dirty mouth and knows exactly what trouble he causes. I loved how Tyler and Che proved that no matter what love is for all not matter what you do or what life throws at you. 10/10 would recommend
overall great I DEVOURED this book! I loved the balance of plot and spice. Personally the only issue I had was how seemingly whiny Chenoa after her secret was “exposed” but other than that I quite enjoyed it! Loved that everyone in the MMC life was so supportive and I’m a sucker for a “has no interest until they meet this person” trope.
Steamy encounters .. secret professions.. Chenoa and Tyler’s story is so good. I hated that Che was a bit dramatic when he found out her job but otherwise good story!
Omg, I had to put this book down for some time because I know a guy named Tyler in real life, and he's not cute at all. In fact, he really likes me, so it was hard to reconcile that this Tyler is a different person than the Tyler I know in my personal life.
Just saying, I love supporting authors in their twenties (I could be wrong, but the author's pic makes it look like she's in her twenties lol) & books that have under 10 ratings, rather than books with 100,000 ratings, you know? Spread the love.
I discovered this book when the author was looking for ARC readers on a Facebook group I'm a part of. I said it looked interesting, but I was too busy to take ARC books (ironically, I signed up for way too many ARCs, starting about a week or two later). Since I have a Kindle Unlimited trial, I wanted to read one of her already-published books. Then if I liked this book, I'd agree to be an ARC reader. (May be too late for that now...)
My past experience with that guy aside, Tyler can be a hot name, though his late name, Handro, killed any sort of sexiness.
Thank god everyone reading this review doesn't know me IRL... because
Here's one of my notes while reading the book: Oh damn, I didn't realize there was a 5 year age gap between them, that's hot. I wish I was the 22-year-old having a great sex life like her
***
Anyway, I really liked the book. Tyler's a 27-year-old rockstar who's learning how to date for the first time. Before, he had a lot of meaningless sex with groupies. And Chenoa is hiding her occupation as a stripper, or "exotic dancer". It would be nice to read a romance novel where the heroine is a stripper, happy to be one, and actively chose that profession and didn't get caught up in it like this book and the last book I read with a stripper heroine (Driving My Obsession by Lauren Biel).
The only thing I would have liked was a little more meaningful conversation between them because a lot of their conversation was just witty banter, replying to Tyler's immature sex jokes. The other woman, an old hookup of Tyler, stated it correctly when she said, “Tyler, seriously. I can’t help you figure things out if you’re going to talk like a fifteen-year-old who just entered puberty."
Also, there were a few typos, but that's okay. I liked how each chapter referenced a song. I looked up two of the songs, but I never listened to any of them. (I rarely ever listen to a book's playlist, lol...not sure why I keep adding them to my books then.)
The third act separation made sense because
I really liked Rover and I'm curious about his book (the one I almost ARC-ed), so I'll be checking that out. I'd also like to read Elec and Dante's book. Is Elec bi? I was confused.
Sterren ⭐⭐⭐⭐
‧₊˚✧ 2.75 ✧˚₊‧ I received this book as an ARC from W. Griffin Publishing. So firstly I want to thank them for this opportunity to ARC read for them.
Romance books are often hit or miss with me and sadly this one was somewhat a miss. In the beginning I struggled a lot with Tyler and his playboy attitude. He wasn't very likeable to me at the start. It also took a while for me to get into the writing style, which wasn't fully my cup of tea. At 27% it popped into my brain to DNF this even, but I am not able to, so here we are. The usage of 'female' over 'woman' is also one of my personal icks, and it was used quite some times in this book, which didn't score it points either. As well as the amount of dick jokes. They were quite excessive in my opinion. That third act breakup was a bit stunted, like for once the MMC doesn't do anything wrong, but she made a whole drama out of it. Girl please. Lastly in my negativity train (and after this I will be more positive, I promise) was that the ending felt a bit rushed. We barely see them reunite, not even in the epilogue.
Now as a metalhead I can appreciate the main character being in a metal band. Sometimes I did miss the focus on that, but I guess they were on break and we did get a scene in the studio I guess. Like I said, I struggled in the beginning, but after that 30% mark, it did get better for me. Was it because it was or did I got used to the writing style, I don't know. In the end I read quite a lot of this book in one day, so that also attests to something.
All in all it was somewhat of a miss for me, but don't let that deter you from picking this book up. Maybe it is exactly what you're craving.
I received this book as an ARC from @w.griffinpublishing and @deviduartaauthor but this is my honest and real opinion. Thank you for this opportunity!

Put on the official book playlist right away, because Fast Flick by Devi Duarta sets the ultimate mood from the very first page!
I completely devoured this incredibly fun rockstar romance. The story follows Tyler and Chenoa. Their instant chemistry sparks a wonderful dynamic, filled with witty banter, great dual POVs, and hilarious moments/ vibes.
While the plot has some familiar romance tropes, the pacing is *chefs-kiss* and the interactions between Tyler and Chenoa made this book an absolute joy to read. Plus, the spice level hits all the perfect levels: it is steamy and hot without ever overshadowing the character growth.
If you love a great banter-filled, dual-POV romance with a fantastic soundtrack to match the vibes of the book while you read it, you definitely need to pick this one up!
First, i need to thank @WGriffin📚 | Publisher/Author , for giving me this book as sn arc🥰
Fast Flick was an easy, fun read with plenty of spice! Tyler is your typical rockstar hottie; confident, used to getting the girls he wants, and just got back from a 2 year worldtour. When Chenoa becomes his next “challenge,” he doesn’t expect things to turn into something real quite so quickly.
I really liked getting to know Chenoa little by little and discovering more about her troubled past. The more you learn about what she’s been through, the more you understand why trusting men is so difficult for her. And Tyler? He definitely falls first, and watching his him discover this, was one of my favorite parts.
The one thing that irritated me a little was Chenoa’s reaction when her secret finally came out. It felt a bit over the top/unnecessary to me.
Overall, this was a good book for when you’re looking for something easy, spicy, and fun without anything too complicated.
This was such a fun rockstar romance! I flew through it in just a few sittings and found myself smiling at a lot of the banter, especially between the band members. Tyler and Chenoa had great chemistry, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow beyond the initial attraction.
The reason this wasn't quite a 5-star read for me is that I found some parts a little predictable, but I still had a really good time reading it. The spice, humor, and found-family vibes made this a very enjoyable read overall.
If you love rockstar romances, this one is definitely worth checking out! 🖤🎸
@w.griffinpublishing thank you for making me a part of your ARC team <3
I received an ARC of Fast Flick by Devi Duarte in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book! The story was engaging, the characters were interesting, and there was plenty of chemistry and tension to keep me turning the pages.
I especially enjoyed the character dynamics and the way the story developed. There were a few things that didn’t completely work for me, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars, but overall I had a great time reading it.
Definitely a fun and entertaining read, and I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fast-paced romance with plenty of emotion and chemistry!
Rocky start but it picked up quickly after a couple chapters. Loved Tyler. Interested in learning more about Rover. Good for Che, she deserved her HEA. Made a spotify playlist for the songs (some had incorrect title in the book but I let it slide.) Glad I saw this series in a FB group I'm in! I'd label this as smutty but not spicy.
A great short story based on modern romance theme. This was an Arc read for me and I really enjoyed it. @deviduartaauthor & @w.griffinpublishing thank you for the great read.
