Pick Love

These are always good palate cleansers!
I liked it more than I thought, because I don’t love dating shows - but this is two people who don’t really buy into reality tv, so it was more unique.
I do think it should’ve been a full length book. I know the deal is that these are usually novellas, but instead of a quick good read, I usually feel short changed. I don’t really think a dating show would end after like two days and still have a season to air, and I felt like their end/him coming to her home could’ve been way more satisfying!

I love the occasional trashy dating show, so reading about one was so fun 😭. The ending definitely felt abrupt but I enjoyed this one!!

Argumento:
Cuando el programa de citas de su amiga productor se queda corto, el solitario multimillonario tecnológico Leo Davidson acepta a regañadientes reemplazarlo con una condición: interpretar al villano. Se le permite ser malo, de mal genio, egoísta y grosero. Trato hecho, lo atacan y lo envían a la isla. Una vez que llega, encuentra arena, sol y Quinn. De repente, Leo odia su papel predestinado porque ¿cómo convencerá al amor de su vida de que él es el indicado para ella?
Quinn Severs tiene una creciente presencia en las redes sociales, como la dama de los gatos. No realmente. Quinn y su familia administran un santuario de rescate de grandes felinos donde reciben leopardos y tigres que han sido abandonados o maltratados por propietarios privados. Se necesita mucho dinero y su familia la convence de que este programa de citas sería perfecto para llamar la atención sobre su causa. Ella no espera enamorarse en el programa de citas. Mi humilde opinión:
Pick Love fue un sí para mí! Me encantó este reality show para encontrar parejas de Ella Goode. El grupo me hizo reír con sus peleas, desafíos y celos, yo ya estaba escogiendo mis favoritos. Serena sin dudas era una de mis preferidas! Las mujeres y los hombres con diferente personalidad desde los más agradables hasta los más conflictivos. La verdad la lectura me mantuvo entretenida hasta el epilogo.
Leo y Quinn me parecieron lindos como pareja y sus situaciones eran exageradas pero divertidas. Un instalove rápido muy estilo EG con el calor justo y un loco y dulce final.
Qué sorpresa Serena y Emmil! Terminaron casándose!? y contando las actualizaciones de los demás participantes del reality. El epilogo estuvo genial!
Esta vez estoy contenta porque no me venían gustando tanto los últimos libritos de la autora. Este es el tipo de libritos escape por lo que continuo apostando a ella. Me dejó sonriendo y queriendo al que sea una historia más larga!

I was really enjoying this book up until it ended. The plot line and the characters had so much more to give but instead of a full story the author went with a cut off short story. The couple was only just getting their groove and the show gets pulled due to a storm, that they would have had contingencies in place to handle. And I’m supposed to believe they were able to still produce a full season out of two days worth of filming?? Smh
On top of that, and I’m assuming it’s in keeping with the ridiculous drama on reality shows, they made the other likable male character Hudson gay for the most unlikable male character Mason? And even though the story was leading to a Serena and Hudson pairing, instead the author claims the Emile and Serena were the true couple? It was totally possible but the story in no way lead that way. Ugh.
Still, I liked this book no matter my gripes. The main couple was perfect I just wish there had been more book to follow how the story should have flowed for all involved. Good luck.

Commentary: I don't think it would matter what kind of good it would do for others, I don't think I could go on any reality TV show, much less a dating show! Quinn was sweet and smart and Leo was absolutely determined. I wish he would have told her right away what was going on (although I don't think he deceived her - I just wanted full understanding between them).

imaginative and adorable
That was seriously precious. I didn’t think the reality show thing was gonna be my cuppa, but it was kind of fun. I honestly wish the book was a little longer so we could get more of that. But I love that Ella Goode only writes novellas…so that’s unexpected.
The characters were precious. The story was imaginative and well paced…if a bit unbelievable. The steam was steamy. Overall, I really enjoyed it. 4 stars. 3 chili peppers. A before bed escape from reality that I definitely recommend.

Quinn and Leo were adorable! He was so grumpy and growly from the jump. The moment he spots the curvy, shy cutie, he was under her spell. Such a unique premise, being on a dating show. Neither looking for love, that is exactly what they get. Quinn's job at a big cat sanctuary was very cool. Sheer sweet entertainment!

Quinn is just adorable - start to finish. Leo has that jealous/possessive thing down from his first look at Quinn. They really are the epitome of grumpy/sunshine. This story was short and sweet and pretty different. And I love Serena’s romance - that was a fantastic surprise.

I see a new Ella Goode novel, I stop everything and I read it in one sitting. (Really I am in the middle of renovating my whole house and I stopped to read!) She knocked this one out of the park!
I had a few doubts though, my view on Leo made me a little apprehensive of his experience, but I was in the trusted hands of Ella and she did not steer me wrong!
So this is the love story of Leo and Quinn, who meet on a dating show, each not looking for love or a hookup or anything of the like. Quinn wants to put more focus on her big cat sanctuary, so she can get more donations and that would result in her giving the best possible care to her rescues. Leo is doing it begrudgingly as a favor to his long time friend Binnie, producer of the show (no worries, there relationship is purely platonic and they act like bickering sibblings, it is quite funny their banter).
They meet and it is fireworks on this island! One thing about Leo, he is cold, grumpy, cusses, says what he thinks with no filter and he was so rude to everybody except his Quinn!
This book is a fun read, with laugh out loud moments (no exaggeration, I busted out laughing a couple of times, looked around to see if anyone saw me until I realized a second later I was alone.)*blush*
So here was my apprehension with Leo; it is not that he was marching towards our heroine and being very OTT alpha (yes he was), that got me a little worried, on the contrary I love how unwavering his feelings towards Quinn was. It was his manner in which he was so comfortable about sex, and making it good for her since it was HER first time and knowing exactly what to do to her body, even though he said that after high school all his focus was on tech and his career for a decade; so I thought, no women for him, GREAT!
When I read that, I felt comfortable but then his way of being so confident in sex made me think, "well he never said that he didn't sleep with women, the fuck 'em and leave 'em way", but it still did not suit his character to be a player so I was confident that he wasn't, so my mind was confused. Well, Ella Goode herself, could have whispered, "fear not oh, apprehensive one with trust issues, this is MY novel, MY love story, I would never steer my readers wrong". I have doubted you Ella I am sorry!
When they were having sex for the first time, he said this,
"'Just focus on me. On how you've dreamt of this moment, of the one you've been waiting for to come for you and claim you. The nights you've spent alone with you hand between your legs are over I'm here now. There won't be an empty space beside you in bed. The pillow next to you will always be warm from my body.' I push another inch inside. 'And it's the same for me. I worked all those years for you. I waited all these years for you. It's you and only you I want.'" *swoon*

Better than reality (TV)
Neither Leo nor Quinn really want to be on a reality dating show, but Quinn's big cat sanctuary needs the publicity and Leo's bestie bullies him into it after his retirement from the tech industry. The minute they meet the show's over for anyone else.
I love reality dating show plots. All the drama of a reality show, without the physical cringe from second hand embarrassment that real humans are like that. The bit with the puzzle box was genuinely funny and there was just enough drama that it was interesting but I didn't hate everyone. The ending was a little out of left field, but the characters were fun for 2 hours.

Such a fun read!
I haven’t written a review for a book in quite a while but I enjoyed this one so much, I had to do this! I loved Leo and Quinn. Such a great couple, but Serena took the cake! With her being a former beauty queen you would expect her to be a troublemaker for the couple. She was the exact opposite. The addition of Serena and Emile made this story so much more entertaining and gave it a little more depth. Would have loved a little more epilogue (like gender/names of the kids, etc) but I’m just greedy that way! 😊 Loved it!

If you're in the mood for fun and original, this little story will hit the spot.
I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but my reward was good laughs galore. The characters find themselves unexpectedly part of a reality TV show. At first, they seem to get off on the wrong foot, but deep down they're a wild and hot match.
I had a lot of fun because of the participants of the show and their dynamics, the hugely possessive hero and the talk about animals. Good times on and off camera, believe me ;-) And the epilogue is just as wonderful as the way the couple finally gets together. Pretty nice.

This was a great rom-com. Leo and Quinn do not get off on the right foot when they meet for the first time but Leo won’t let his kitten get away that easily. There is a little bit of drama and some assumptions were made but these two get a really good HEA. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Ella has in store for us next.

This was a really fun read. I am not a fan of this type of reality TV. But if they had a sexy alphahole like Leo who staked his claim on day one and didn't let anything or anyone get in his way ... well I might change my tune. Leo and Quinn were great together. And it was so sweet to see Serena and her significant other [also a show contestant] in the epilogue. Plus as an added bonus I always love books where they include a kitty cat - domestic or wild, doesn't matter.

I was initially unsure of the dating show aspect, but it was really funny, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Fun story, I would recommend this sweet, spicy, funny, lighthearted romance.

taking a break from writing is also an option, churning out garbage after garbage 5 times a year and expecting us to jump with glee is NOT gonna happen. You literally copy and paste tropes and characters with minor plot changes and think that's it.
obviously you never cared about good quality writing but more of the quantity because you know if your books are judged on their OWN merit, they fucking suck.

probably would've given it another star. but it's so icky to me that their first sexual experience together is under a blanket to hide from reality show cameras. the cameras were still rolling, so like... i can't help but think that the footage is still gonna be shown even though they're hidden by a blanket. it's still gonna be obvious what they're doing. idk i just feel like if they were seriously falling in love they'd just... wait until they have privacy to do more than kiss??

Fun read.
I really don’t like reality shows, and I really don’t like them as a book premise, but I really really like Ella Goode’s writing so I went ahead and picked this up.
It was a good story, I really liked the characters and they’re chemistry is why 3 stars for a premise I know I don’t lik.

This book was so much fun to read. I loved the plot. We have Quinn, which works in a big cat's sanctuary and Leo, a bored millionaire that doesn't know what to do with his time.

This was a a fun romance that will make you feel like you’re watching Love Island, but with a couple that actually finds their soulmate on day one. Roar!
This book was a super cute short story. I loved how big of a A@# Leo was, but he wasn't that way with Quinn. I also love that it had the whole reality TV theme as those shows are quite popular. I also liked the combo of women in this story, some nice, some not so much.

Leo is roped into being on his best friend's reality dating show and he's planning on being the jerk no one wants. Then he meets Quinn and he decides that she is the one for him. Their lives are so different and in the end will Leo pick love or let her get away?

Loved it!
I can’t believe I hesitated before reading this. Not being a huge fan of reality TV, I questioned how much I would really enjoy this one. I should know by now, anything from Ella is absolute gold!

Loved this one..
Ella's books are always good but this one is my favorite so far. Had humor, Hotness, it was fast paced. My only wish is that there was more big cat time but I get she could only get so much in.

Amazing
Such a great story plot… Love the writing style, I could picture everything perfectly. So cute how Leo bulldozed his way, to be with Quinn. She was so cute being shell shocked about being pursued. The ending was hot and adorable
