I absolutely ADORED this series, this author never disappoints me with her work.

I mean like, i was a little disappointed with the 4th book, but THIS, THIIIIIIIS!!

I have no words to describe it ‘cause there is ALOT OF THINGS i want to talk about, but at the same time i don’t usually like making reviews long that much, so let’s just make it short, ok? Ok!

I LOVED the plot of this book, it was really interesting and refreshing to see a school field trip happening in this series.

I kinda learned alot about the American history in this book, Class Dismissed had that too, except it happened at the end of the book *still thinking of the plot twist that happened at the end of the book*…Yeah, the ending was really cute tho 🥰.

I think i finally found who my favorite characters are (no hate to the rest of them) it’s Flo and Luca.

Flo is a HILARIOUS character, i really love her personality, and the fact that she wears a tutu and wears a sock in her hand as her friend during middle school is literally the most funniest thing I’ve ever seen 🤣

Luca on the other hand is sweetest character i’ve ever seen, he is such a good friend to Nat and was so kind to her, i just love him so much ❤️❤️❤️

I never talked about my favorite characters in this series before 🫢, but now i do 🤗.

I don’t think i have anything else to say, so i think this is the end of this review.

Thank you so much for reading this review 😊.

This one was fun since they were touring Philly for their class trip. I like this series, but I enjoy the 70s nostalgia of the Sunny series more. Still a great series for upper elementary.

Our beloved Nat goes on a class trip to Philadelphia and the real adventure begins when Nat and Flo get separated from their tour group - and lose Nat's cell phone!

Book #5 in the series- recommended for upper elementary and middle school graphic novel readers

I love American history and this book was full of it! So interesting to see them travel around Philadelphia and the scavenger hunt made the monuments interactive and fun. Another great book for this series!

I was only a few pages into this book when I was literally laughing out loud. I love these books, and the snippets with the dog and cat (especially the dog) are so fun.

To me, there were a few issues with this book.

1. Nat is kind of snappy at Luca sometimes. She seems to be overreacting a lot.

2. The whole part where they were lost and trying to find their group wasn’t very interesting to me. They were just walking around and I feel like more effort could have been put into it to make it more interesting.

3. Why are her parents proud of her?? She lost her phone and then got separated from her group. And instead of being responsible and borrowing someone’s phone to call her mom, she wandered around the city hoping to find her group.

4. On page 188, there’s a typo. Instead of scavenger, it says scavener without the g.

5. On page 212, why is Nat sleeping with her glasses on? I have glasses myself and this just doesn’t make sense to me.

Overall review: I do really like some of the other books in this series but they seem to have gotten slightly worse (just in my opinion). I enjoyed the first book; it was funny and interesting, and the illustrations are cute. This one just doesn’t seem to have a lot of thought put into, and the only reason I finished was because it’s short.

Just kinda disappointed by this one.

Nat tries to be responsible when she loses her bike and her phone. She learns what do to do when lost. My only complaint about this one is that Nat makes a comment to Flo about her sock puppet just being a sock puppet but then Nat immediately apologizes and Flo forgives Nat. I felt like it’s not something someone would accept an apology so quickly. But maybe I’m overthinking it. I’m glad Nat learns to be more responsible.

Nat is worried that her mother won't let her go to Philadelphia with her class, since she won't even let Nat bike around by herself very much. Of course, Nat leaves her bike outside and it gets stolen, so the other reason that she wants to go on the trip is that there is a bike for a prize for the scavenger hunt on the trip. Her parents agree, and she goes off with her classmates. They see a lot of sites, but Nat loses her phone in a park. She and Flo take off to look for the phone (and also Argyle, Flo's sock puppet) but don't have much luck. They can't find their class, but try to find things on the scavenger hunt by themselves. They manage to find their group right before the bus takes off, and manage to locate Nat's phone in the lost and found. Nat wins a yo yo in the drawing, but her friend wins the bike and gives it to Nat instead.

I always have doubts about books that portray field trips where children run off (think Babymouse: School-Tripped) because whenever I go on the Washington, D.C. trip with students we are SO careful to account for everyone, but this is at least an interesting look at Philadelphia. Nat isn't my favorite, but my students love the books.

Life, liberty, and pursuit of . . .the bus?

This series continues to entertain as Nat's class takes an overnight field trip to the city of Philadelphia. First there is the suspense regarding whether or not her mom will sign the permission slip. And the anticipation of starting a class scavenger hunt once they read their destination. (With a prize that Nat really wants to win.) Then we get to enjoy tagging along with the class. There are some great facts about historical sites and events that took place in the 'City of Brotherly Love.' The puns and the play on words are on reason I keep coming back to this series. At one point after Flo loses her sock puppet (Argyle) and Nat loses her cell phone, the two question what will get lost next? They soon find out! I also need to give a shout out to Treat and Cat, Nat's pets. Their role in this installment is to provide comic relief in between chapters. It's Dad-joke lame, but a fun addition to the story.

I'm not sure what this nonsense is of rating a book two stars before you have even had a chance to read it, but it is ridiculous. Rating it 5 stars before you have a chance to read it is saying, "Yes!! I am excited!"
If you aren't excited to read the book, take it off your "want to read" list and go about your Nat-less life. But don't be tearing down a book you haven't actually read yet. That is just mean, petty, and pretty sad.

That being said, I am super excited to read this!

Nat desperately wants more independence, starting with going on her class trip to Philadelphia without her parents. When they say yes, Nat is eager to show them how responsible she can be- but then she loses her cell phone and also gets separated from the group! Can Nat turn things on her trip around and prove to her parents that she is responsible enough to start doing more things without her parents' supervision?

Nat convinces her parents to let her go on the class trip to Philadelphia, where she has a chance to win a new bike to replace her stolen one if she completes the city scavenger hunt. Readers will want to go on a school trip of their own, making sure not to get lost from their groups. Historical facts about the city and United States are peppered throughout, and the ongoing friendship trial with Nat's ex-bff continues in true and aggravating ways. Another solid comic in the series.

3 stars (I liked it)

A nice addition to the series. This book focuses on a class field trip to Philly and also Nat's wish for more independence from her mom.

The book includes a lot of fun landmarks and information about Philly. I like the author's note where the author talks about actually going to Philly and joining school groups to do her research for the book.

It really bothers me that Natalie didn’t even try to look for her bike. What kind of lesson is it if she just gets another one given to her? Also, if I were her parents I’d be more upset about her losing things on the field trip. Not as good as the others in this series.

This was probably my least favorite one in this series so far.
Getting lost doesn't sound like a good idea for a plot For me. Very anxiety driven, but maybe some people really enjoyed this and that's great. I just wasn't one of them.
