Sometimes I like to pick up one of these audiobooks before bed. Havnt yet listen to one that I enjoyed as much as the snake man one. But this one was enjoyable too.

This was a wonderful addition to this fun multi-author series and I have to say I absolutely loved the characters in this one. The story was fab as well, with drama, intrigue, suspense, mystery and, of course, steamy romance. I loved the idea that Xander already had a special gift of being able to see the dead, so with his punch-induced change, he was ideal to help Galina out. She's been 'missing' since that Halloween party so finding out that Xander could see her was a shock. Feelings grew from their time together and I love that they got an HEA. There was an exciting ending and it pulled at my heart with how everything came together.

Insta love
I've read a few books in this series and they're all on the shorter side, but this one I feel struggled to get the story to flow together. It was a little all over the place. The insta love was there so if you enjoy that trope try it out!

Xander (H), once a normal man until an incident that changed much of the town’s population into monsters and left him transformed into a griffin, agrees to renovate a friend’s abandoned quest house. But even before his transformation, Xander has an ability that enables him to see the spirits of the dead and is enthralled by a ghostly vision, Galina (h), who inhabits the guest house, trapped between life and death. As Xander and Galina get to know one another, they work to solve the mystery of her existence and how to free her from the nightmare she experiences every night. Hot and steamy monster quickie with a bit of magic, and some old friends (Gregor and Ayra) and some new ones.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
This book starts where Ogre My Dead Body ends. Xander, a griffin is working on the guesthouse owned by his friend Gregor. The guesthouse (like a bed and breakfast) was owned by Gregor and his twin Galina. When the Halloween party Frankenpunch incident happened Galina disappeared, no one was able to find her. Now Gregor and his new family want to reopen the guesthouse.
Xander has always had the gift that let him see dead people, once he was turned into a griffin he retreated from society. He originally was just visiting someone in town, when he drank the punch and was turned into a monster. It was to much for his fiancé, she left him and he couldn’t go back to his old life so he stayed in Screaming Woods.
When he gets to the abandoned guesthouse he starts making notes of all the repairs it will need. He has a strange feeling about the place, he knows something is not right. When he sees a beautiful ghost he’s surprised, the ghost is even more surprised that he can see her. She’s confused why she is there and doesn’t know what happened to her. He finds out she is Gregor’s missing twin. She asks him to help her cross over and find peace. He says he will try. While they are talking she is attacked by something that Xander can not see. He tries to save her but can’t and watches her die. He is very sad and upset for her. The next day he talks to her again and again she is attacked and again he can’t save her. But they were able to touch each other for a couple of seconds. This goes on for almost a month, they talk everyday and become close, they keep trying to touch each other for longer periods of time. They are also very attracted to one another. One night when the unseen force comes and attacks Galina, Xander focuses on her and kisses her, this breaks whatever hold the force had on Galina and she is saved.
He told her Dr Karloff, who made the punch may be able to help them. Xander has figured out Galina isn’t a ghost, she is somehow trapped in an in between. Dr Karloff can’t help her but he knows of a magical place called Fabled Forest, it is a place where the veil of magic slipped and trapped the residents in fairy tales.
The world building Violet did here is great, you have to wonder how are these two going to have sex, she’s a ghost! Well when Galina passes from Screaming Woods into Fabled Forest she becomes corporal. She can feel her own heartbeat and her and Xander can touch, she can feel all of him including his need for her. They enjoy a little bit of sexy fun in the forest and in the air before going to see Eloise, she’s the grandmother from Little Red Riding Hood. They also find out that Galina is tethered to Xander, if he goes away from her she passes out. While Eloise works on helping Galina, she and Xander have their first time together, she’s a virgin, he’s been celibate since he turned into a monster. Very hot and steamy.
They figure out Galina is aging or fading because her hair is turning white so they need to find answers quick. Eloise is able to figure out that a evil spirit that inhabits trees has been the one killing Galina every night. When Galina cut down the tree the evil spirit lived in she attached herself to the wood and unfortunately Galina made a bed of that wood. The bed she sleeps in.
The night of the Halloween party after drinking the punch Galina didn’t feel well and went home. She got into bed and the spirit attacked and killed her. But she was in the process of changing into her monster when it happened so she got trapped in the in between. Eloise gives them the tools to get rid of the evil spirit. They must burn the wood the evil spirit is attached to.
But in his haste to kill the spirit when the get back to the guesthouse, Xander misses a step which causes the evil spirit to become corporal and attack them both. Galina now a ghost again tricks the spirit into following her into the fire. Xander yells at her to stop, because the fire will kill her, but Galina does it anyways. Her and the evil spirit are sucked into the earth and are gone. Poor Xander is grief stricken. Wherever they are triggers the final transformation to her monster, Galina is turned into a white dragon. She kills the spirit and returns to Xander. More sexy times and lots of I love yous. Epilogue with her reuniting with her twin Gregor and meeting his wife Arya.
There are Fabled Forest book in the works according to the author. I look forward to reading them.

Ghosting the Griffin [Monsters between the sheets: Season 2]
These books are short Monster romance books with Steam, Romance, Strong characters, Awesome characters and are standalone stories but you will see some characters showing up in different books in this series too..
This book follows Xander and Galina.. You will see How Xander and Galina fell for each other as you read this book.. Each book in this series is a Monster/paranormal Romance wrote by different Authors
Xander is a Griffin and he can fly.. He is a Reclusive Carpenter who makes hand carved Furniture and before when xander was human he seen the dead and that gift got stronger when she was turned into a griffin.. He lives in the woods and has two best friends called Gregor and Jace.. One day Gregor asks xander if he could to Gregor's Guest house to fix it up because Gregor's wife had plans for the Guest house so when he gets near the place he can feel that there is something up but goes inside anyway and that's when he sees Galina but when he asks who she is then its her turn to be shocked because xander is the only one that can see her and then he finds out that its his best friends sister that has been lost for years so he helps her find away to be seen by everyone so then she can see her brother again..

The day she drunk the halloween punch she started not feeling well so she went home and fell asleep when she woke up before the halloween punch finished turning her into a monster she was killed so she was a ghost with a curse that she could not leave the guest house and also she would relive her death over and over again until she meet xander.. The days she meet xander she was shocked to see that he could see and talk to her which makes her happy because now she had someone that could help her find away to be seen by everyone but its sad because she does not remember anything or anyone apart from her name.. Xander helps her leave the guest house and helps her which makes her fall for him more..

This small town called Screaming Woods is amazing to read about and you should check the other books out because the town is awesome and the romance is sweet.. It was awesome to see Galina and her twin brother Gregor see each other again at the end of the book..
I liked the relationship between Xander and Galina because they were sweet together.. I am glad that everything worked out and they got a happy ending

This is a good paranormal romance, my favorite of the series so far, but I did have a few minor issues with it. It gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.
First, it was too short to have as much character development as I like. I would have liked a little more backstory on both Xander and Galina.
This story is my favorite of the series so far, because it did seem like the couple was truly in love. They just seemed to have an instant connection, probably because Xander had been the first person who could see Galina since the night they all became monsters. I loved that he immediately wanted to help her, and understood that her curse was much worse than what he had gone thru in his change to a monster.
There was sex in this story, but it wasn't quite as dirty as in most of the other books. I found that more enjoyable to read.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Xander and Galina are up and...they kind of have a lot to deal with. Mostly because Galina is dead-ish. Sort of dead. Mostly dead all day. Huh. That last part is pretty accurate, actually.
Anywho. Xander and Galina. On top of being an awesome mythical monster, Xander has the gift of sight and can see dead people (I'm having a full-on "I see dead people" moment. Give me a second. ... ... Okay. I'm good.). When he pops into Gregor's (his ogre friend who has himself a honey-bunny and a bun in the oven) guest house to start repairs, he finds Galina. Who's kind of dead. Maybe. But also maybe not. Things are tricky like that in Screaming Woods. Regardless of her dead or not-quite-dead state, Xander's smitten.
On Galina's end, she's stuck in a terrible loop of appearing every night in the house and reliving her death. Over and over and over and over again. Every night. It's not fun. She can't leave the house and she has few memories of who she is or how she got there. She just gets to die. A lot.
Well, Xander follows his instincts and breaks her out of her death loop (which is good), they go find Dr Karloff to try to figure out how to fix her issues, end up in an enchanted town nearby (just go with it), and get physical. A lot. Plus, they get to fly, Galina drinks a magic potion, and they get physical. Often. Did I mention they get physical? They do. And they deserve every second of that physicality.
They also have to figure out how to break the death issue for good. Because Xander's not about to give up his lady when he's just found her.
A little flying, a little magic, a little danger, and two people who find one another at exactly the right time. Good times!

This was a superb monster book.
This was a book about love and acceptance.
There is abdrink the residents drink during halloween and they get their chosen monster.
Xander was turned into a Griffen and he lost his fiancée because she couldn't live with a Griffen. So he has vowed to never love again and became a recluse.
Poor Gallin didn't get a monster instead she got death. Not fully dead nor alive. She is just living like a ghost no one can see her but only 1.
Griffen saw her. He ended up helping her with her nightmare of a life. The curse that needs removing. Little did they knew they will lose their hearts in the process.
But what if lifting that curse gets rid of her forever leaving Griffen behind. There was hot Spicy scenes too.
Read and find out what happens and can they get their Hea.

I really liked Ghosting the Griffin. I enjoyed reading about Xander in two previous Screaming Woods stories & was happy for him to get his own book & HEA. There is so much detail & depth to this. Xander & Galina are very interesting. Learning about what happened to Galina was shocking fascinating. This story took me places that none of the previous books have. I loved Fairytale land (or place/dimension) it was so cool.
Violet Rae did an excellent job with this one. It held my interest & was hard to put down.
I liked the romance in the book but did skip over the sex stuff. Thankfully, there was much more to the book than just sexy time. This was a good Screaming Woods read.

AMAZING monster romance!!
There was so much that kept me guessing in this monster romance. Not only with the changes to Xander and Galina from the Frankenpunch debacle but also the twists that make Galina’s story so unique. A ghost caught between two worlds cursed to relive her death every night, stuck in the cottage where she died, doomed to a lonely existence? But why? Was it the punch? Or something else, something more sinister? From the twists, to the story, to the characters, to the spice, this was a journey I really enjoyed and wish I could experience for the first time all over again. I will definitely be reading this one again and highly recommend this to monster romance lovers.

Wow! This was a fantastic story! Well written and totally engaging. Both Xander and Galina drank the punch that turned the inhabitants of Screaming Woods into monsters years earlier. Xander was a griffin but Galina disappeared.
Xander was now renovating the guesthouse where Galina used to live and was surprised to discover Galina who was stuck in a loop of not quite dead! They had an instant connection and Xander was determined to break her from the curse she had lived/not lived under for years.
Hot, sweet and steamy with amazing chemistry, suspense and mystery, a determined, loving hero and beautiful HEA

The Griffen and The Ghost
When Xander drank the Frankenstein-punch, he turned into a griffin. But Galina has had it worse - somehow, she’s a ghost who removes her death every night, but yet she’s not really dead, she’s cursed. Xander grounds Galina and these two grow close, but Galina is fading, lives are at stake and time is of the essence. I loved the twists and turns in this story - Xander is a griffin who can see ghosts, the reason for Galina’s condition is a unique set of circumstances, Galina is twins with Gregor (from Orge My Dead Body). A action-packed story with plenty of heat and excitement.

This is another standalone addition to the Second Season of Monsters Between the Sheets. And it's a great one!
Violet Rae was quite creative in how she wrote this story about two monsters. There was a bit of suspense and the solving of a mystery in addition to the romance of the book.
Xander and Galina were perfect together. Initially, neither expected they would be able to find love or maybe even want love. But, find it they did, and much the better for it.
I highly recommend this read!

Wow!
I’m not going to lie, this was a really good book! I especially enjoyed the mystery of Galina’s half-life and nightly attacker. Xander was so faithful once he saw her and heard her story. That is the kind of acceptance and dedication that everyone should have. I also enjoyed finally meeting Dr. Karloff and their trip to the other realm. It all makes for the possibility of future stories that could cross into the Screaming Woods. Sexy times were off the chart and I send my thanks to Violet Rae for this awesome addition to an awesome series.

This is the first time I have read a book like this and I really enjoyed it. Xander is a beautiful soul even if he is now a Griffin. He tries to stay to himself while making sure to help his friend. He's always been special and now when the beautiful and enchanted Galina shows up he is not sure what is going on. Galina never thought she would end up between life and death. Not knowing how to move on. She's a ghost that has strong feelings and confusion. When she meets Xander things start to change for both of them. However, can they fight the powers to be?

But what will the future hold now and is the curse truly broken? Not going to spoil the ending but you will love it!

I've been reading a few stories of Monsters Between the Sheets and I was intrigued by the tidbits about Galina and Xander, and you won't be disappointed.
The romance is sweet, but there's mystery and suspense with a bit of spice. We learn of another magical town and the whole build-up for the story was well-crafted and paced.

Fantastic read, there is a lot going on is this book, which will entrance you into the small town of Screaming Woods, and give you a glimpse of the Fable Forest. Loved the characters and how well they were developed, this was quite suspenseful as it was very surprising to find the cause of this storyline. Enjoyed the ending as there is more than one happy ending.

I absolutely love the newest book in Monster's between the Sheets series. Xander has always hada gift. Now after all these years he's able to use it to help. Galina has been trapped. Xander and Galina are perfect together. Neither expected they would be able to find love or maybe even want it. It was a beautiful story of Xander and Galina falling in love and accepting each other for who they are.

A really good book by Violet Rae. Xander and Galina were amazing characters and their story was so well written and developed and so wonderfully original it had my attention all the way. A very interesting concept where on Halloween all the residents of Screaming Woods drink a punch and they all turn in to a monster. Loved the progression of the book and all the hot and steamy moments. Highly recommend!

This book is definitely a keeper. Xander and Galina's HEA story was soooo amazing from the beginning until the end of the epilogue.
Xander lived a mundane existence until the day he stepped foot in the dilapidated guest house of his friend Gregor. There he meets Galina. Her story will shock and surprise you.

i quite liked this! was away from it for a few days reading other books but it was always easy to come back to, entertaining and interesting
i feel like it tried to weave in a few other stories to get you to read them which overall I dont love however it annoys me even more when authors do this and dont link every characters books at the end- they usually do an excerpt of one book but there were other characters that I would want to read more of that werent mentioned at the end

The author has taken us back to Screaming Woods, where Monsters and Humans intermingle. We are given a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Xander and Galina. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, suspense, determination and steam.

Ghosting the Griffin is Xander and Galina's HEA. am happily back in Screaming Woods! Reading all about the lonely "monsters" who drank that Frankenpunch all those years ago. Xander has always hada gift. Now after all these years he's able to use it to help. Galina has been trapped. Can she find her freedom and find happiness.

I absolutely love the newest book in Monster's between the Sheets series. This book was such a fun read when Xander drank the punch he turned into a Griffin, and you will love how Galina completes him and yet another perfect story in this incredible series. Violet always gives us the greatest characters and stories.

Xander was turned to a griffin after drinking a Punsch at a Halloween party. He now lives in solitary. When he gets tasked with renovating a guest house he meets Galina, a ghost that forgot who she is and what happened to her. I really loved the mystery around Galina and how dedicated Xander was. Sweet, steamy, romantic , interesting story , with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍
