“The woman could see the dead. Of course she belonged to death itself. I was the grim reaper, and I came to collect what was mine.”
TBH this did not hit like I was expecting it would. I really loved Wicked Schemes (the second book with the other sisters story) so I had some high hopes for this but it was just “alright”. The plot was a bit confusing and hard to follow at times and didn't always make sense. And while the world building was creative it had me scratching my head at times. Like he's the devil? But he's the grim reaper? But he's a god that rules Hell? IDK man. ANYWAYS it was an interesting read with some STEAMY spice so if you want some monster love and don't care so much about the plot then I'd recommend this!

idk what amy is putting in her books but whatever it is, i need more of it.
all her life, Pilar has been able to see ghosts and they always try to get her to do things for them so they can ascend to heaven. however, if they stay too long then a black hole opens up and they fall down to hell. this obviously makes the god of the underworld verrrrry upset and he’s made a vow to hate and torture Pilar for eternity…… by marrying her of course 😏
Vicious (aka Vic) was just……….. i loved him 😂 if someone were to torture me using his method of torture, i would be so down 😂😂😂😂
when an ow offers herself to him because she didn’t know he was looking for a wife (🙄🤢) he tells her that he has never felt desire before his wife and ONLY feels desire for his wife 😏 like he should. the underworld has these massive orgies during rituals and the H has never wanted to take a lover or participate because humans are boring 😂 his “little witch” is the only one that gets his monster dong working.
this is a standalone for the couple, but a cliffhanger for the overall plot of the series and I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!! there are so many sisters so i’m hoping that means a lot of books 🥰
my only complaint is that i wanted more Penny 😂 she kind of just disappeared. no pun intended 😝
I didn’t like this one as much as I liked the first book. I think conceptually it was just a miss for me. The plot is very flimsy. There’s too much going on. It’s too big of a concept for 200 pages.I never connected to the H or the h. There are some enjoyable scenes but for the most part I only kept reading since it’s a series.
This was the quickest fantasy romance I have read so far..
🪄 Witch gal who helps death souls meets the king of the dead😈 🪄 Soulmates 🪄 Fantasy world, Magic, Immortals 🪄 Enemies to lovers vibes 🪄 Witch sisters each one with special powers
The author really covered this complicated world within the span of 200-300 pgs along with the romance between the main characters. It would have been better if we got more of the characters and their chemistry but even then the book didn't feel incomplete.
Safe. HEA for the couple🤍. The plot would be continued in the books following the other sisters.
Vic's.... not so much. He was written at first as vengeful, then that persona basically drops and he is willing to be all and end all for Pilar and that didn't feel satisfying.
While I am interested in the sisters and each of their powers and their eventual soulmates, I wasn't captivated enough to continue with a future book 2.
There were some grammar and spelling errors that randomly disrupted the flow because they were so few
This was okay - the concept is there, and it's good, it just needed more Ex: Vic wants her in Hell because she's been "denying" him souls (for years) by helping them when they linger, and he wants to "torture" her for this crime...but then only does that by denying her sex, there is really no other form of "torture"...then he seems to start caring (when he shows her the skulls) and then when they get pulled topside he's in love with her - we go from A to F very quickly (torture -> love)
What did the red ring or Penny have to do with any of it? Penny disappears in the back half of the story, and the ring seemed like it might have power to it, or have something to do with her powers but literally is just an accessory she wears when she meets her soulmate and that's it
Speaking of, Pilar's convinced their Abuela started this whole thing with the soulmates and them breaking the family curse...but how? How did she know it would be them? How did she set this all in motion? This was never answered, there was no flashback to solidify this question so it's just ...there
Pilar dying felt out of nowhere. They're witches, yet Cassandra had a gun? When? She's only been topside like 2 days. Also, Cassandra was stabbed in the neck before the gun went off. Is she also dead (again)? It really felt like Vic should have killed their dad here and it seems silly he got away
The smut was smutting, so bonus points This may be knit picking, but what was the point of him having a knot? Usually it's tied with higher chances of offspring, but it's never mentioned once if that's something they have to worry/wonder about
Overall, the bones are there, this just needed more meat. 200 pgs was too short for this concept. I may pick up the next one as I'm still intrigued as to where it's all going, but we'll have to see how that one is in comparison

♡ Marriage of convenience ♡ Fated mates ♡ Knotting ♡ Enemies to lovers ♡ Monster romance ♡ Witch FMC ♡ Underworld god MMC
This book might be the most interesting book I have read all year and I mean that in the best possible way. I have never really dove into the monster romance trope before but I’m happy that Mortal Desires was my first one because it really sat the standard. It’s a relatively short book but so much mind boggling stuff happens in such a short amount of time.
Every Morales witch has a gift. Pilar is the sister who can see and speak with the dead. While she’s celebrating All Hallows Eve with her sisters she gets dragged down into the underworld and is captured by the Vicious, the god of the underworld. He doesn’t take kindly to her powers and her meddling and forces her to marry him. Now Pilar is stuck in the underworld with a husband she didn’t ask for, but things starts to take an interesting turn that she didn’t see coming.
This book is the perfect way for a beginner to monster romances dip their toes into the trope. It’s what you call sweet and psycho at the same time with a big dash of spice. Pilar and Vic totally won me over and even though their desires may be mortal, there’s nothing mortal about their story.
Hallows Eve’s night and the Morales sisters are celebrating, but Marnie who sees soul mates tell each of her sisters that they will find their soul mate tonight. They hear a noise and see a parade and they go to the parade. Pilar, who talks to the dead, follows her ghost friend Penny and ends up in the underworld. She meets Vicious who hates her and wants to torture her. He then tells her they’re getting married. Can Pilar figure a way out ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book I love Pilar and Vicious and their dynamic. Great supporting characters. This book has twists and turns, humor, and the spice is so good. I love the Morales coven and can’t wait for the next book.
This is the perfect revenge plot for witty dads who's undoing will be his children. Shout out to abuelita for setting things in motion. Now I'm not sure if I would have seen the vision being sent to the underworld but hey daddy is going to get what's coming to him.
Idk the book felt kind of lacklustre. Like it was missing something. Also, the plot kinda felt all over the place. The spice was good. But the character's reactions and dialogues could have been better. And it felt rushed
I am absolutely loving this series and can't wait to find out more about the Morales sisters!
Pilar Morales can see and talk to the dead. She tries to help them find piece but little does she know, that every soul she helps is a soul she's taken away from the god of the underworld. I. Halloween, after years plotting he is final able to begin his revenge.
🌸 Enemies to lovers 🌸 Quiet but learning her strength, witch FMC 🌸 Monster god MMC 🌸 Soul mates 🌸 Knotting
First, let me preface this review by saying I got this book during the Stuff Your Kindle Day. So, I did not pay for it.
It was an okay read. Was it the best or worse that I've read? No, definitely not.
There were a few grammatical mistakes and typos, but the writing style was decent.
The plot wasn't very solid. It almost erred on the side of more smut, less plot. There were several questionable moments that either didn't make much sense, were not believable, or was just silly. Towards the end of the book, the plot seemed a little more developed. However, if you asked me to give a plot that encompassed the whole book, I would struggle to give you one.
The spicy scenes were pretty great, although a little weird (4 of the same guy all at once? Hello! That was a fun one). The spice was the redeeming quality of this book, in my opinion.
I think the plot fell apart a little bit around the time the MCs met the Fates and wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff got involved. Everything happens all at once, they say—yeah, I get it, the underworld exists in like, a singularity. So then why was MMC so salty about FMC helping souls ascend for her brief (cosmically speaking) existence on earth? Wasn’t she also already dead/not yet born? Not his problem, and yet he plucked her out of her existence nonetheless. Even he admits he doesn’t know why he did it. I get it, sometimes destiny intervenes. He was supposed to meet her, so he did.
But now if time doesn’t matter, why does it matter how *soon* he finds his missing servants? Why does he need to drag the villains back to the underworld? Wouldn’t it have already happened/currently happening/not happening yet simultaneously? It’s like there’s some kind of timeline/point of reference outside of the underworld, but inside the underworld the universe can be retconned at will, which FMC says she sees happening when she looks in the everything room. I’m not sure I like it. I don’t understand how the MCs are experiencing linear time in the underworld at all, if I’m to take the text 100% literally. Maybe I’m too autistic for this book? #actuallyautistic
What was the deal with the shifts in magic with the FMC and the underworld’s power? It was never really explained. Are we meant to infer that her presence or the fact that she was his soulmate did something funky to his powers or his person? Did her presence give him a soul where none previously existed? I don’t know what to make of this.
The MMCs actions toward the FMC really straddled the dubcon line whilst also being not as cruel/callous as I thought he’d be. He started out wanting to make her miserable and then just forgot after 1 week. He got that fated mates INT debuff for sure. The FMC falling in love with him came outta nowhere. *shrug*
Vicious & Pilar: A Good Start But, It Could Have Been Better
This is one of those books that sat in my Kindle for a while before I read it. In the mood for a good monster romance, I decided to give this one a try.
MORTAL DESIRES closely resembles the series CHARMED, but instead of three sisters, you have seven sisters that have formed their own coven. Each sister has a specific power., The FMC of this book is Pilar, who has the power of communicating with the dead. As a ferryman who helps souls find peace, she captures the ire of Vicious, the King of Hell who he feels Pilar is stealing souls of his to serve in Hell. The twist of this book is that Pilar and Vicious are fated mates.
This story had a lot of promise and the plot was good. However, the mysterious wording in the book was confusing to me. I waited patiently for the theory of "Everything happens at one." to be explained to me in detail but it never was... at least not clearly enough. I had to read the passage that attempted to explain it over and over again. Still... nothing. I grew so frustrated, I just moved on.
Further, Vicious was a character that I could really come to like, should he be redeemed. In my opinion, he wasn't. The fact that he had his reluctant bride's murderous father (who was in hell) walk her down the aisle was unforgiveable. For someone who despised Pilar, he just woke up one day in love and it all just made the plot seem weak.
The next book isn't slated to be released until late 2024, which seems really late for a follow-up book. Honestly, I lost interest after this one and the prelude to the next book at the end did little to convince me to seek it out in the future. It was just OK. Nothing spectacular but if you want spicy scenes, this book will deliver that. But even that wasn't enough to save this one.
I thought the premise of this book was really interesting... However, the execution was poor and lacked nuance, which made the story feel extremely choppy. This felt more like the first draft of a book with good potential but really needed more detail and cohesiveness.

We love a grumpy monster love interest.
Well it was a nice paranormal romance story. A light Persephone x Hades inspo throughout.
I will say the magic system and underworld world-building felt a bit light and quite unclear. I would’ve loved to understand more of the coven magic, even of Pilar’s own powers, her spells etc.
Same thing for Vicious, a lot of talk but not much action in his powers atc.
Also we completely forgot about Penny? She was so important to Pilar but after the 50% she disappeared from the story. I also thought Anora, Pilar’s familiar, would’ve had some kind of role or impact since she was mentioned quite a bit at some point. But nope, nothing happened.
I will say the romance and spice were the main event of the story. And they were great.
So, in conclusion, an easy-to-read paranormal romance, but nothing extraordinary.
Favorite quotes (MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS):
“It’s not your father’s. It’s not for any of your sisters, either. It’s yours, and you need to take care of it for me.”
"“Do you remember much of Abuela?” Elisa turned, tilting her head to the side. “Not really. She died when I was too little.” I glanced at Abuela, her eyes serious, just like Elisa’s. I blinked and returned my eyes to my sister. “I know she liked red. It was her thing,” Elisa offered. I chanced one last look at my grandmother. Red shawl, red lipstick, and now the red ring in my hands."
"Generations and generations of women in our coven dealing with supernatural beings and all the darkness out there and still, the most dangerous thing we could do was fall in love."
"Trapped, I dared to ask. “Where am I?” “Welcome to hell, Pilar Morales.”"
"I looked beautiful; I couldn’t lie. Even if I was a prisoner of Mr. Goat Legs. I was a beautiful prisoner."
"I am everything they say I am. I am the end of the earth and the blood flowing to soak the soil. I am darkness itself and the collective sins of humanity. Tell me, little witch, what do you call death?"
“What’s happening?” I asked. “They are preparing the feast.” “Why are we having a feast?” I asked louder so he could hear me over the servant’s work. “Because it’s our wedding day.”
“You can’t remain in the underworld unless you marry me.” “That’s perfect, I had no intention of remaining here.” His eyes flashed to mine. “You’re staying.” “If I marry you. Which I obviously won’t do.”
“Vicious…” I let his name soil my tongue. “Tell me.” He chuckled. “Curse me. I want to hear it all from that little mouth of yours.”
“The marriage ceremony will take weeks,” she said in a rushed tone. “You’ll be bound to him, but don’t forget, so him to you.”
"Until Pilar Morales. The light of the dead. That’s what they called her. The girl’s entire existence defied mine, she took what I was due from between my fingers. I never hated a human before her."
"With Penny, I controlled Pilar with love. With Adrian, I controlled her with fear. Either way, she was mine. Finally mine."
“Are you saying my sisters are more powerful than I, dear husband?” I spat the term of endearment. “It’s just an observation.” “You’re correct. They can do much more than I can. But dear, husband,” I smiled at him, batting my eyelashes, “they have never angered a god like I did.”
"How much would I give for him to ask me to touch myself? Instead, he placed his last order. “You won’t touch yourself until I get the chance.”"
"When I asked her maids to dress her, I never thought they would dress her like a queen. She was indeed the queen of the underworld, so the delicate black dress and the golden crown over her temple matched her new life. I simply never thought she would fit the role so well."
"I didn’t want anyone curious about Pilar. She wasn’t for anyone’s eyes but mine."
“I wish I could say the same, but I arrived just in time to watch you propositioning my husband.” Cassandra paled in a way I’d never seen before, almost losing her footing, and shook her head. “No, my lady, of course—” “I don’t like to be lied to,” Pilar cut it in. “You can turn around and play with whoever you want today, my lady,” he added sarcastically. “As long as you know that, you’ll never touch what is mine.”
“Only I will endure your advances.” I snorted, feeling my cock swell. “Claim me again and I’ll take you before it’s time.”
“I wonder how tight you’ll be. If I’m going to push you too far. If you can take my knot for the first time.”
“I’ll still hate you tomorrow,” she whispered. I smirked. “And tomorrow you’ll take my cock again. And then again and again every day after that. I don’t think I’ll ever be done with you.”
“I’ll die if you keep going.” He chuckled darkly. “Good. Then you’ll belong to me forever.”
"“Mine, little witch. Mine.” And I could only nod."
“You’re different today. Less engaged in the whole torturing thing than you were before.” He chuckled. It was raspy, low, and powerful. I felt from my head to my toes. “And you’re wondering if your cunt is powerful enough to make me change my mind?”
"Maybe I had a cock only to satisfy my mate. Maybe everything was about Pilar Morales."
“We are the beginning and the end. Infinite. We started and it just rippled into the universe. I grew up reading stories like that. Women that got married for other reasons than love and then it grew into something deep, special…perfect. I never knew I was reading a replica of my own story.” Her eyes were damp with tears, her smile bright. “We are so strong that whatever made us spread like seeds everywhere. Every love story around the realm tries again and again to copy the god of the underworld and his wife.”
"I was a god. I was part of the very fabric that made existence, and yet only when she came to me did my life begin."
"My wife was everything. She was terror. She was justice. She was the rightful Queen of the underworld and the light of the souls. And I never loved her more than at that very moment."
"She was here and she was mine. For eternity."

First, I want to start by stating that this was my first monster romance and I LOVED IT! A quick synopsis:
The Morales coven is made up of seven sisters. Each has a gift, but Pilar hates her gift and often believes it's a curse. On All Hollows' Eve, Pilar gets separated from her sisters and ends up in the underworld. Vicious does not kindly to Pilar's power/ meddling and forces her to marry him. Vic finds ways to punish Pilar... and let's just say everyone has underestimated Pilar's personality.
If you love witches (especially Latine witches), Charmed, and monsters ;) You are definitely going to love this book! The way Scarlett wrote this book was AMAZING! I loved how she considered everything while creating the underworld, adding a unique twist to the setting. Scarlett doesn't leave you bored at any point during this book. It's well paced and you're instantly hooked. The spice in this book was EXQUISITE! Even though this book ends on a cliffhanger, Pilar and Vic get their HEA. I can't wait for the next one!!
Tropes: Enemies-to-Lovers/ Marriage of Convenience/ Fated Mates/ Monster Romance/ Knotting/ Underworld God/ Latine Coven
Mortal Desires is the story of Pilar, one of seven sisters in the Morales coven, each of whom possess a special gift. Able to see and speak to the dead, Pilar’s gift has made her an enemy of the god of the underworld, Vicious. He forces her to marry him as punishment, but soon enough, he finds himself falling hard for the witch.
I loved this story. I don’t usually read monster romance, but the premise was intriguing and I knew I had to read it. I was not disappointed. The concept reminded me of a mix of Charmed/Witches of East End and Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series. The worldbuilding was fantastic and added so much to the story. The spice between Vic and Pilar was on point and the pacing of the story flowed well.
This is a monster romance that includes knotting, death and dub-con (triggers are listed at the beginning of the book). So, if that is not your thing or that makes you uncomfortable, this may not be the book for you.
For everyone else, this is an original twist on a witch romance that you won’t be able to put down. I’m looking forward to seeing the stories of the rest of the sisters.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book was so good! I don’t read a ton of fantasy books, I normally stick with contemporary romances, but I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone! I LOVED Vic and Pilar. They were match made in heaven (or hell 😉 ) Obviously at first Vic is fighting this attraction and says he wants to “torture” Pilar. Yeahhhhhhhh that lasted like a week! 😂 he quickly turns his “hate” into obsession and will do anything to save his wife. Things in the underworld seem to be falling apart a bit and Vic and Pilar must work together to find out what is going on! And the ending?!?! I may or may not have shed a tear! I’m not sure why I didn’t see that coming…. I can’t wait to hear more from this family and how the story will continue. I hope we can still hear from Vic and Pilar in her sisters book because I miss them already! I need more extended epilogues from them in the future!!!
3.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Touch her and die Knotting Fated mates Witches King and queen of underworld Forced marriage/marriage of convenience Enemies to lovers He falls harder
This was such a cute read. I grew up watching Charmed so the moment I saw this was partly inspired by the show I knew I had to read it.
Pilar is normally quiet and mild mannered around her sisters, mostly due to the fact that the dead are always pestering her to help them, but the moment she gets taken by the god of the underworld that all changes. She finds her voice and is not afraid to stand her ground against him, regardless of what he looks like.
I absolutely adore the fact that although Vicious claimed he wanted to torture her, before he even knew it he was starting to fall for her. He's also quite protective (which I honestly love), and would do just about anything for Pilar. The spice was on point for me, and on my scale was a 3.5
⚠️This is an insta love/fated soulmate story so if you don't care for those tropes you probably won't like this one. I however am very much looking forward to the next one!

I knew I was going to love this book from the dedication alone!
I’m so glad we got more of the Morales sisters.
Each sister has a gift and Pilar thinks of hers as a curse, she is thought to the quiet, shy sister, until she ends up trapped in the underworld after making an enemy of the God and she meets Vicious.
I loved their story and how things developed with them. Vic wants to punish Pilar in hell for her gift but he can’t help but want more from her. I love a MMC who falls hard and will do anything for this woman.
The spice between them was so good.
The world building was done so well, it all pulls in so nicely and I know they’ll be so much more to come and learn about and I’m excited for it.
There were plenty of twists along the way and that ending had me on the edge of my seat!! Absolutely perfect writing that has all you’ll need. I need more of this family! Can’t wait for what comes next.
A combination of all of my favorite things! Monster romance, witches, and Hades & Persephone vibes!
We are introduced to the seven Morales sisters and their various gifts. The focus is on the second youngest sister, Pilar. She has the gift of seeing ghosts and helping them ascend to heaven. That all changes on All Hallows Eve when the sisters are spooked by the youngest Morales sister claiming they all meet their soulmates that night. A curse on their family claims that all Morales women are to be hurt by their soulmates. Unsure of what is happening they venture out to find a spooky parade only to all be separated. Pilar follows her best friend and ghost, Penny to the underworld where she meets Death himself.
That’s when she finds out he has an axe to grind with her and plans on torturing her for all eternity and is starting by marrying her. But as the fates would have it Pilar may the one break the curse and awaken the soul within the beast.
Last year, I had the pleasure to read You Are Mine which is book 1 in the Morales Coven series. When Scarlett announced book 2 would be Pilar's story, I couldn't wait. As much as I did wait, this book was everything I needed right now! My first Monster romance, just in time for fall. Pilar and Vic's relationship is soo different because of the world, or underworld, they live in. Scarlett did such an amazing job creating this world even down to the way they travel around the palace. I loved Vicious and his sarcasm and his horrible plans to torture Pilar, which never happened lol. The enemie to lovers was written so perfectly and honestly, Scarlett's writing is completely captivating! Vicious is literal DEATH and just a big freaking marshmallow who will do anything for his queen. I can't wait to read more about the Morales Coven and the next sister. also, if you haven't read YOU ARE MINE, you must read before MORTAL DESIRES! this is a series you definitely need to read in order.
This monster romance was not at all what I was expecting. I loved it!
I love the relationship development and the general plot. I also felt like I had some things in common with the FMC, in particular her “act” in front of her sisters and family vs how she was with MMC. The tension between the MMC and the FMC was fantastic and the banter was my kind of banter
Now let me get into what I loved about the characters:
🖤 Pilar - her kindness and compassion trascended life. She always thought that she wasn’t powerful enough, yet death proved her wrong. I loved her character arc and what she learned about herself in the process 🖤 Vicious - a grumpy ass god of death. But boyyyyy he turns into a squishy marshmallow later on. 🖤 The Fates - They just liked the tea, and so did I 😂
I am leaving this review voluntarily after receiving an advanced reader copy of this book.
A Captivating Monster Romance, Perfect for October!
Within the pages of this enthralling novel unfolds a tale of enemies turned lovers, drawn into a marriage of convenience that swiftly leads them to confront their circumstances with unwavering determination. The Female Main Character (FMC), Pilar, commands formidable powers as a Morales witch, embracing her destiny as the rightful Queen of the underworld and the beacon of souls. This captivating narrative seamlessly weaves intrigue and passion, intertwining the plot's momentum with its fiery romantic essence. As the story unfolds, the perfect harmony between the captivating storyline and spicy chemistry is masterfully revealed, promising an exhilarating read.
Pilar is a witch who sees ghosts, is quiet and shy mostly bc ghosts are literally haunting her. Until she finds herself to be married to the good of the underworld.
Hot! As in: - Hate to love (they both falling in love after all the h8 s3x is so good to watch) - public s3x - edging -MMC who not only doubles but quadruples (is that even a word?) - knotting! - hand on throat - obey kink - possessive (then cinnamon roll) MMC - quiet then sassy FMC
And all this aside, the writer messed with Time and I love it, I love it. With Time, and mythology (Hades and Persephone echoes) and religious stuff, and I'm here for it.
There's just something I didn't get with the ending 🤔
This is the second book about the morales witches, and I can easily say I liked this one better than the first (you are mine, signed Amy Oliveira). While the first love story sounded a bit silly and not much felt, this one. This. One.
I love this book so much 💕 Continuing the story of the Morales coven, from the You Are Mine book, we find out a little more about the Morales witches, and the events that happened at the All Hallows Eve. Pilar is the quiet sister, the one that can see and talk and help the dead. She also doubted the existence of the soulmates. But the Fates proved her wrong. Her soulmate is the God of the Underworld. This book is masterfully written and I was mesmerized by the talented Scarlett and how she created this entire universe and those amazing characters that fit so well together 💕 It was a wonderful story and it brought so much joy while reading it! I recommend it from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Please be aware of the triggers listed at the beginning of the book 💕
Y’all this was a great story I can’t wait for the next one!! Mortal Desires was the second story in the Morales sisters series the first being You are mine by Amy Oliviera(which side note is also a great book btw). This story follows Pilar the second youngest sister, who has the gift of talking to ghosts. Mortal desires picks up in the same kinda time line that the last story did but follows Pilar instead of Marnie. I don’t wanna give anything away that happens during the story but i will say is I love Pilars soulmate Vicious so much!! I’d rate this book a 4/5 star and i would say about a 2.5 on the spice scale, it was good and hot just not the spiciest thing I’ve ever read does get points for being with them God of the Underworld though ;)
A huge thank you to Scarlett for giving me an arc in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked the concept of this book, the soulmate aspect, Pilar’s confidence boost throughout the book, Vic’s touch her and die vibes, and, most of all, I loved the tension and chemistry between the two. Holy wow. Their sexy scenes were everything.
I think my biggest con with this book is that it didn’t feel entirely fleshed out? It felt like we could have delved into everything more and a bunch of the scenes could be more in depth. I also feel like a lot of the motivations felt wobbly? Possibly just not entirely thought out or described.
Either way this was a nice, short read. And I’m glad I read it :)
