“You can run, Madeline. But where are you going to hide?”

BONES

We’ve been to the depths of hell and brought back pieces of it. We have the scars to prove it. They’re a part of who we are, but unlike him, I’d take eternal fire over love any day.

Still, I can’t fight this obsession.

I’ve seen her fall. I’ve heard her heart break. I am the reason for it, but I’ll always be a part of her life—watching, waiting.

I crave to cut her open and see what she’s made of.

He’s becoming obsessed with her too, and I’ve killed anyone who dared to touch her, but his blood is not something I’ll easily wash off my hands. I need them both to keep me sane.

MADELINE

People are always made of a million tiny puzzle pieces, and we usually can’t even see half of them. Half of those are broken.

I’d know. I see it in him too.

He tells me I belong to him—that he’s addicted, and he wants to taste the stain of my sins.

Looking at him is like staring in the mirror at the darkness inside of me—he slowly becomes every sin I commit.

There’s something dark burning in my blood. By the time I find out he’s not alone, I’m in too deep. They’re two sides of the same coin, but they’re not enough for each other. I’m their missing piece.

I can deny it. I can fight it. But in the darkness, they are the Gods I address my prayers to.

About the author

Morgana Darkins

4 books22 followers
Morgana Darkins is a cat lover, serial killer documentary junkie, and an accidental hoarder of coffee mugs and stationery too pretty to use. She collects stunning editions of books she swears she’ll read someday… but mostly just admires. A die-hard Dramione fan, she’ll always choose the arrogant, sharp-edged Death Eater over a redemption arc. What can she say? She’s a Slytherin through and through.

When she’s not crafting dark, obsessive love stories, Morgana ponders life’s most important questions… like brooding anti-hero or unhinged alpha? And is too morally grey even a thing? (Doubtful.) Her characters rarely behave, always steal the spotlight, and sometimes… they break her heart a little. Music fuels her writing, and after hours spent with her obsessive, possessive men, she crochets to unwind. But please, don’t tell them—it’s definitely not the vibe they signed up for.

Step into the dark. You’ll love it here.

I'LL BE HONEST WITH YOU, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK!💛💛💛 I love it because it is not loaded with boring details that make me want to kms. I love it because I don't have to strain my brain remembering all kinds of characters that have no role in the story. Everyone revolved around Madeline, Khalian and Kaede and that made me love it even more. I love it because Khalian remained as mysterious and shrouded in darkness until the end. I would have cried if Khalian was suddenly a sweet guy. 😭 I love it because it really made me suffer after I finished it, wondering what I'm going to do with my life. I love that Kaede wasn't left alone at the end (he's my favorite). I simply love it and you may think I'm crazy, but I enjoyed all THOSE scenes. Especially the ones with Kaede and Khalian. 🤭
I used "love" too many times but that's because I KNOW Kaede would love it and Khalian would probably think I'm obsessed or crazy. He's the one obsessed here, not me. Or maybe...
And I used the present tense because I'm probably re-reading the book now, while you're reading this review. I always go back to my favorite chapters (12).

Yes, is not a book for everyone. It's not a story about butterflies and pink clouds of love. But it's a story about passion. Obsession. Another type of love if you want. Maybe a sick love, maybe a sick way to love. Has disturbing sciences for the ones faint of heart, but I'm not one of them so...
I discovered this book on social media and it was the best decision to read it. I don't regret and my appetite for what this author has in mind is enormous.

Only for her surrounded in darkness

My first book from Morgana Darkins. Bones/Khalian went though a lot of horrible things from a very young age. He lives in darkness his only friend is Kaede who he meet when he was young. We learn more in the book but it starts out with him having a chance encounter with Madeline. He spends several years δτα!κιηg her. He finally decides to make his presence known in person because she is his. She struggles with her own darkness but is in denial and it is a lot of back and forth between them. He is definitely obsessed with her and ☠️ any guy who touches her.

The story is good but it seriously needed proof read before being published. I also did not see anywhere that mentions that there is MM but there is along with MMF and MFM. Told in dual POV. Madeline also is very redundant with the escaping thoughts. I wanted to rate this higher but I couldn’t. I loved Kaede but I felt like he sometimes was an afterthought towards the end it does it get better and he is included more. He also has no POV in the story.

I liked this book a lot, not the best but interesting till the end. I liked Khalian as the MC but when at the end he revealed that Madeline’s father was killing and raping women who looked like her, Khalian tried to protect her and sent his father to jail. However, Killian also revealed that he did the EXACT SAME thing to other women too. He fucked them because they looked like Medaline but killed them to because they weren’t Madeline herself.

I won’t try to justify him because I know how dark romance works and this is just fictional but this was way too similar like we can blame the father but not the MC.

Great book author, especially when their dynamic si tho Kaede was written :)

Beautifully Dark

I absolutely loved this book. I’ll be honest, it took me
a tiny bit to get into due to feeling in a rut. But I’m glad I stayed with it, because it was beyond beautiful. I could only appreciate how three broken people came together to form something so out of this world, and something that will last forever. I highlighted almost the whole book. Definitely a favorite!

I felt like Kaede and Madeline's relationship was forced, but besides that a great book. Khalian is a great MC.

The ending would be better if we didn't already know that Khalian put her dad in jail, but still a great plot twist to know why and how.

Wow, this book was AMAZING, I wish I could have given it an even higher rating!
Where do I even begin? Let me start by mentioning that this is a dark stalker romance and not everyone will like it. Before beginning, make sure to read the trigger warnings. The writing style of this new author really pleased me. She captured my interest right away, and after I started reading it, I couldn't put it down! I was hooked on Bones from the prologue. This man is incredibly fascinating, completely captivating, and unquestionably psychotic! The sex was scorching, and there was an amazing plot to go along with the panty-melting scenes. I can't wait to read more from this fantasic writer!

I wanted to love this book. The story had great potential. There are just so many grammatical errors and missing details that I can’t finish it.

Carved in Bones, this awesome book, tells the story of Bones (I won’t mention his gorgeous name), Kaede, and Madeline. They meet by chance one day, and for years he stalks her until the moment he makes himself known to her. It is then, life gets interesting and darkness falls.

The book is a ride into the darkest corners of the human soul. It talks about the most twisted desires one can crave, makes us ponder about what’s right and what’s wrong. All the ‘ifs’ in between, and all possible outcomes.

Bones and Kaede grew up together, and they have deep, horrifying raw scars, and each dealt with them their way. Madeline, after a tragedy, also tried to deal with her new life as best as she could, but not enough.

Darkins took her characters to the bowels of hell and back with mastery. Their relationship is twisted, full of ups and downs, deliciously sexy and steamy. Holding on to each other, they maintain their fragile sanity and prevent themselves from slipping into the darkness within.

OMFG! What a wild ride! I went to heaven and hell of a human soul, mind and heart, and I loved each second of my journey! I couldn’t put this book down. Carved in Bones is not for everyone, mostly if you are a trigger finicky, but if you’re not… Do yourself a favor and embark on this amazingly dark, deranged, twisted, delicious, sexy as hell trip. You’re not gonna regret it. Believe me! ❤️‍🔥🌶️😍❤️‍🔥

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't even know where to start. I'm not good with words, and I don't know how to express with them exactly what I feel, but I have to say something about the book.
This book deserves all the stars, but unfortunately, I'm only allowed to give 5.
It is a dark stalker romance.
❗️❗️❗️Some themes may offend some readers, so check the warnings first.❗️❗️❗️
I fell in love with Bones from the prologue.  It's unhealthy to like such a character, but I can't help myself. He is a complicated man.  He's psycho, sexy, mysterious, and intelligent. What's not to like about him? He meets Madeline when she is 17, and his obsession begins. But stay calm because he doesn't touch her until she is at the legal age for... well, what he wants to do to her.
I don't want to give any spoilers, so I invite you to read this book.
Although the author is new, she writes incredibly and makes you want more and more. Congratulations on this fantastic debut Morgana Darkins. I can't wait to see what you write next because you are my type of author.🖤🖤🖤
And for those who stop reading this review, this is all I can say: Hello, little lambs. 😈😈😈

More like 3.5.

It started out super strong and then the unhinge-ness fell a bit flat.
I loved the MMF aspect but I felt like Kaede and Madeline’s relationship was forced. I think because theirs was more instalove. Whereas Bones and Madeline’s was pure obsession for 6 years. So although it was one sided in the beginning, he at least knew everything about her.

The twist about ole’ daddyio was unexpected. And the final revenge piece seemed almost like an afterthought to clean up any loose ends. Overall, decent stalker romance.

Side note: There were several typos and even repeated chapters.

Obsessed

Did I devour this book in a single session and ignore the entire world…you bet I did! I loved that moral ambiguity wasn’t glazed over and immediately rationalised away in place of lust. Each of the characters had their own distinct motives and resolutions. I was definitely a captive audience

Wow. This is everything I want in a dark romance. Likeable FMC, super dark and unapologetic MMC's, the spice is unparalleled. It could use a solid proof read and some editing as the grammar is a little all over the place but the story was so enthralling that I happily looked past it. I will be thinking about this one for a long time to come. Incredible.
