T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling 7 books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement.

When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too."

T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Considering this is the 8th book of the series, one would expect the author to have put repetition and inconsistencies far behind her. Unfortunately, despite book 6 and 7 showing improvement and promise, book 8 proves to be the worst of the 8. Throughout the series, i had to keep reminding myself that it's fiction and anything is possible. But a good fiction book has you believing the world you are thrown into. Ancients and old ones sees Emily going from mute rocker to baby doll wearing dresses in 2 weeks. then 2 weeks later she's back in her jeans being bossy again. and expect even more capture scenarios where you'll find yourself shaking your head wondering why she didn't just ash the bad guys. it's just way way way to jumpy of a story-line, and the most frustrating book i've read in a while. i made it through 8 books in this series, so that says something for the writer and the story, but this book was a huge disappointment.

This book is one of my favorites throughout the series because not only does Emily return to her "true self", it also recaps on everything she has ever done for the heku species. I enjoyed the suspense when she mysteriously gets injured in her sleep, the serious parts of the book were worth reading and helped progress the story along, but I still enjoyed some of the lighter moments, like when she finally bonds with her new daughter Megara. Something I really like about the whole series in general is how the author manages to connect and relate various events of the story throughout the series. I made the mistake of reading the second book first, and I still managed to understand the storyline.

This book was absolutely amazing!!! The books seem to just get better and better. More enticing, more adventure, more of absolutely everything. Cannot wait to read the rest. The best way to describe it is adictive! One book that I will read over and over...If ever they were to make a TV series or a whole collection of movies IO swear I would watch it at the theater and buy the collection of DVD"s too!!! ABSOLUTELY WOW!!! BETTER THAN TWILIGHT!!!

God I love this series. Bless Emily, you think the worst is over and then suddenly it does get worse. You see Emily come back towards her old personality with a few changes, she finally stops acting as immature and running off all the time (although it still does happen on occasion). I think Emily and Chev's relationship has taken another step further and I love them for it. Only one book left, I could cry.

I read the whole series and although the series had the potential to be good. The author really needs to get an editor. The main character Emily is to stupid to live and the books are way to long.

This whole series was fantastic. It was quick, thoughtfully entertaining and interspersed with small snippets of humor.

Eh, I think these books are getting too long. I thought this book would have been a nice ending to the series but one more.
