Destiny is the captivating first book in the South Mountain Journey of Faith series. If you like bold characters who seek God’s guidance, small town settings, and joint journeys of healing, then you’ll adore Chas Williamson’s sentimental Christian romance novel.
Buy Destiny to find how God uses everyone for His purpose.
Chas Williamson resides in Central Pennsylvania with his beautiful wife. He is a husband, father, grandfather, amateur historian, and avid storyteller. In 2013, his wife asked him to write a short love story. That story grew into what would later become his first novel, Seeking Forever, then the rest of the Seeking Series.
The second series is the Paradise Series, based in Pennsylvania Dutch Country and the stories revolve around the lives and loves of those who frequent Sophie Miller's Essence of Tuscany Tea Room.
An interesting story with some off-the-beaten track factors. They are all Christians, right? So, in my opinion, did they not seek God's guidance on their choices? The guys sure seem to have anger/control issues. You want to slap them! The relationships between the females seems strong and enduring. Uplifting. I enjoyed how Selena and Beth and her husband choose the new life for themselves. The setting sounds ideal. Loved the God intervention toward the end. Was brilliant. The ending reflected that in a very satisfying manner. A good read, if you can stand the characters meandering their way out of the morass of feelings, to their God-given destiny.
I stayed up pretty late to finish this book. The author's writing is excellent and you feel like you are in the story. Parts made me laugh that I really had to used the bathroom, thankfully we have one and didn't need to tresspass. Parts had me needing tissues wondering if they would find Rose. The book was well proofed as I did not notice any spelling/grammar issues like I do with other authors.
I was given an advanced copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I just had a very hard time with this one. The book’s writing style seemed like it should be taking place in the 50s in my head. It was so strange to read the phrases the author wrote and think that they are supposed to be saying it in a “present day” world.
The plot was slow then rushed a lot at the very end as well. I overall was not impressed by this book sadly.
This short of a book should not have taken me that long to finish, but I could not get myself to actually want to read it. 😵💫
If you want a Christian Fiction Romance novel with some substance, please! Give this author a try! Excellent writing. The story was really good, I can consider this a page turner. I finished it pretty quick. I just couldn’t wait to see how things turned out with each of the main characters. Thank you Mr. Chas Williamson for a beautiful story and you gave closure to each character! I’ll continue this series, no doubt!!
An agreeably contemplative story of a strong, smart, independent, mature, thoughtful, gracefully understanding, forgiving, generous, and faith-filled woman coming to a group of individuals who have significant roles in her life!
