Fire is a racing prodigy. Well on his way to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best ones in history. His expectations of the new season were to train, race, and win, not to nosedive into the ground and injure his wing.
Forced to miss the rest of the season, he’s sent to schmooze with the rich and famous to stay in the limelight and keep the attention on himself. So he schmoozes. And wishes he could be literally anywhere else.
Until he walks in.
Nose in the air, disdain on his face, and secrets wrapped around him like an expensive suit.
Just figures Fire’s mate would be the most pompous little brat ever. On the plus side, riling him up should be fun, right?

Rio is a priority. He’s the main character. It’s what he’s used to and he will settle for nothing less than red carpets softening his every step.
He lives for the attention and drama, dreaming of a mate who will understand that Rio’s taste is impeccable and he just knows best.
Enter his mate.
Who disagrees with Rio every step of the way, makes him question everything he thought he knew about himself, but most of all, makes all the skeletons from his past resurface
So why doesn’t Rio mind it as much as he probably should?

Oh, this series. Sometimes I don't know how to express my confusion, but I'll give it a try.
At the beginning of this book I didn't like the characters at all and I absolutely didn't like how the “plot” was going. Fire and Rio are a fated match and there's wild sex right from their first meeting. Insta ... yes, so much. Excessive lust and possessiveness ... yes yes yes.
I liked Fire in the short story before and I liked him here in this book more than Rio, but still the beginning of this book was soooooo ..... baaaaaah.
But I had a busy week at work and the light writing with the superficial plot and OTT weird but funny characters was a highlight. And it was a really easy read. Which suited me just fine as my brain capacity wasn't great.
So with that in mind, I developed an enjoyment of the story and grew to like the characters.
When the time of a breakup came, which I absolutely cannot stand, I was all teary-eyed and cried.
Well, and if you know my reviews, as soon as a book manages to make me cry, it's too late for negative reviews. So my rating is probably higher than it should be, but I'm just an emotional reader and thrive on what stories can trigger in me.

He braced his hands on the wall, inhaling shakily as the deluge of ice cascaded over him. It didn’t help. He couldn’t wash away what he was feeling. Couldn’t trick his body into concentrating on anything else. Couldn’t shock life back into something that seemed dead already. It didn’t even dull the pain he was feeling. Just made it sharper. More prominent. Layered instead of one-dimensional. 😭😩😪🤧

“I can handle a few children for an hour.” Fire raised his arms in surrender and nodded. “Never said you couldn’t, princess. I just thought you ‘didn’t like children.’”
“I don’t,” Rio said, narrowing his eyes. “But I can keep them alive until their owners come and pick them up.”
“Parents, gorgeous,” Fire said. “The word is parents.”
🤣😂🤣

The good
+ Rio being very dramatic
+ Fire liking Rio's spirit and pursuing and seducing him as requested
+ Rio with kids
+ Fire's love for racing
+ Zero's challenge
+ Fire's family

The neutral
o There was like one bean bag worth of nesting in this book and I wanted more
o Rio didn't change his last name to Perkins, which was a pity
o For a very large portion of the book, the only connection between the MCs was sexual
o The aftermath of Rio's grand gesture was not shown on-page. No reactions from Rio's family, Fire's family, the tabloids, nothing

The bad
- Fire had to put in all the effort in their relationship. First, Rio demanded Fire pursue him. Fire did so, wooing Rio with dates and gifts and attention. Then, Rio demanded , which was really tough on Fire, but he did so without complaint. And then, Rio , and when someone pointed out to Rio that maybe the ball was in his court now, Rio said Fire should come to him instead. I understand Rio was arrogant and entitled. I don't understand why that would mean he didn't have to put any effort into their relationship
- Rio had the realization he was behaving exactly like his mother three times, and still didn't change what he was doing
- Rio had no connection to his family whatsoever. The only reason he stayed was because of the money, but he put zero effort in trying to find a job or another way to create income for himself. He just sat there, in his ivory tower, whining about how hard his life was while doing exactly nothing to change it
- Rio loathed his family and what they'd done to him, but did not get revenge in any way. . It would have been the perfect revenge
- Rio did a lot of damage to Fire, especially psychologically. I don't feel like his grand gesture was enough to make up for all of his mistakes

Quotes
x He decided he was annoyed now. He stuck his nose up into the air and let out angry little puffs of air through clenched teeth every few seconds to make sure Fire realized that fact.
x "What?" "Nothing. Just happy to see you happy." Rio felt his cheeks flush at the words, but he stuck his nose up and squared his shoulders. He would not be reduced to a simpering mess by a sweet mate. He was better than that.

Fire deserved someone who'd fight as hard for him as he fought for them. Rio did not live up to that. I had really hoped for more from this book. After getting to know Rio at the beginning of the book, I had very high expectations of him manipulating the press to his benefit, but instead there was... whining. A lot of whining, really. A pity for sure. I wouldn't recommend this book, even though I really enjoyed the other books in the series.

Absolutely my favourite mate pairing of this series, only because of Fire though! He's definitely my favourite Kriila and I enjoyed seeing his journey throughout this book - he deserved to be treated so much better.

Rio I could honestly drop kick and happily never see again! I detest characters who put money above all else. I felt like I was going to pull my hair out at the fact he couldn't grasp that his grandparents were a shitty excuse for a family, and although he might 'lose' them, he was going to be gaining Fire and his entire family instead but couldn't see that! Yeah they aren't DNA related, but when your blood relatives treat you so badly, why on earth are you hanging on to that string they have you dangling on???

Definitely in the Fire fan club anyway and the other racers really intrigue me so I'm hoping there are future stories about them.

3.5⭐️ rounded up. I really enjoyed this book, but there was something missing between Rio & Fire, and I think it was passion somewhere between the cold aloofness and tiptoeing around the truths they were trying to ignore about Rios family , and Fire’s putting in literally *all* the effort.

Rio was a pretentious priss, and I didn’t hate it! I refuse to villainize a character just because they demand to see themselves as worthy…. However there was a slight disconnect as some vulnerabilities within Rio were just said, never show (like wanting to be seen as more than his riches and family name) and that kind of disconnected me a bit from him / them.

Overall this was of course enjoyable. Fires family, especially his mother Harriett, was awesome. His entire family & raving inner circle - zero included - made for entertaining material outside the romantic plot.

Also glimpses of Bailey and doc still had me cackling, Levi still made me say “awwww he’s so freaking cute”

So yes I recommend!!

Another Good Story

This wasn't quite as good as the previous stories IMO but it is still a good story. I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to the next book.

Loved Rio and Fire. This book was the opposite of the last one. That was a slow burn. This was hot from the start. I really loved Fire and Rio' s dynamic. Rio was pretty pompous and a total diva but was lovable just the same. Overall, very enjoyable.

Lovely addition to the series.

Love this series. What more could I want in this lovely, snarky romance story of fated mates. Fire is such a lovely character, loving life, selfless, and only wanting Rio. He's even willing to change his life, and give it all up for his fated mate. Rio is torn, he has to choose whether or not he can be with Fire. Even though Rio comes across as a snob and entitled, he obviously adores and cares for his mate. I loved Rio and how he stuck up for himself. It was hard when he and Fire separated, but he was right that he needed to make his own choices, mistakes or otherwise. Still, it was so lovely seeing them get back together. Rio had never stopped loving and yearning for Fire, and they needed the break for it to ultimately work out for the best. There's love, angst, a dramatic, but fun ending, with a HEA full of feels. Simply they perfect mix of love and romance. 4.5 stars.

I received an ARC of this story which in no way influenced my opinion.

This book didn’t grab me as much as the others in this series. I really like Fire but Rio annoyed me. I get he was meant to be high maintenance but to me he just came across as selfish. As with the previous books, the writing was really done well. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

New to me author and I started this series with this book BUT its brand new couple so yes I need to read books 1 and 2 to complete the world building but it didnt feel like I was missing anything vital to this story.

Fire and Rio are total opposites attract mates in this MM PNR read.

There is drama, angst, interfering friends and family but its all needed to make the story work!

A good solid 4 star read!

And now I have added Storm and Dream to my TBR

A lovely addition to the series

This book is very much a continuation of the Inescapable series. I hadn’t read the other books in the series and this novel drops you into the alternate universe where the Kriila exist with no exposition to explain the world where the series is set. So I went back and read all the other books before continuing on. 😀 I don’t recommend reading this book as a standalone, but in the context of the larger series it’s a lovely addition.

The book opens with the focus on Fire, a Kriila racer. I would have liked more description and explanation for the racing aspect of the book, which even with the other books providing discussion of the topic, is never fully explained. Even within the context of this book details are sparse. There is minimal discussion of what racing entails, what the courses look like, what the obstacles are (though they are mentioned in a general sense), even the race later in the book is decidedly vague. It’s a minor complaint, but it is what holds me back from giving the book five stars.

Fire is easy to like. Recently injured he’s a bit at odds, as he has devoted himself to racing for his entire adult life. He’s a bit sparky and quick with a quip, and some of the most enjoyable aspects of the book are the byplay between the two MCs.

Rio is harder to like, a Kriila of extreme privilege and rather shallow at the outset. In his initial meeting with Fire he’s quite the brat. As the relationship with Fire proceeds, and you are given more of his internal dialogue, he grows on you. And by the end he was my favourite of the two characters.

The love story and the obstacles the two main characters face are well developed and although there’s an aspect of insta-love, the two characters grow well together. The love scenes are very much open door but, if that’s not your thing, you can skim them as no plot points occur during the action.

I recommend this book as a continuation of their series and look forward to the next instalment.

Third book in the lovely Inescapable series and my favorite so far.

The story follows Fire, a professional athlete who lives and breathes for racing, currently sidelined by a wing injury and slowly dying of boredom attending parties and charity events to keep media interest alive while he recovers. But then one snooze-fest extravaganza takes an unexpected turn when a beautiful stranger making a grand entrance turns out to be his fated mate and … sparks fly.

Rio is a rich socialite acting every bit like a haughty, spoiled princess, used to gathering adoring looks and gasps of admiration everywhere he appears. His main concern is avoiding obnoxious twats his family is throwing at him as ideal marriage candidates and maintaining a perfect appearance, not finding his mate. And when he does find him, he expects the man to immediately declare his undying love for Rio and worship the ground he walks on. He's in for a huge surprise.

What I enjoyed most in this book is the dynamic between the main characters. Their mutual attraction is undeniable and they have no problem admitting they're fated mates, but it's definitely not insta-love. Fire is a snarky bastard who takes great pleasure in riling Rio up, not fulfilling his every wish, while Rio, used to being fawned over and waited upon, is determined to make Fire work for it. And as both Fire and Rio are stubborn, strong-headed characters used to getting their way, who see each other as a challenge, it's a highly entertaining case of unstoppable force meets an immovable object. They couldn't be more different, but their chemistry is fantastic and the banter epic.

It's not just about clashing personalities though. While the first part of the book reads at times like a rom-com, the second deals with heavier topics, like overcoming the fear of abandonment and breaking free from a toxic family. Before they get to their HEA, Fire and Rio have to finally face the problems they were running from and make some hard decisions about their future together. Rio must decide if he's ready to leave home and really be with Fire, the absolutely last person Rio's family would accept as his mate, because choosing Fire will mean not only kissing his privileged lifestyle goodbye, but also being cut off from the grandparents who took him in and raised him after the death of Rio's father. Fire, on the other hand, has to learn to respect his body's limits and allow himself time to heal when all he wants to do is move full steam ahead as usual.

The ending is my second favorite thing about this book. As much as I don't like grand public gestures, all the drama and attention and Rio's inevitable complaints were so very much like them that I couldn't help being charmed. If you're looking for a sometimes funny, sometimes angsty opposites attract story with quirky characters and endless banter, this is a great choice.

ARC provided by the author, I have chosen to read and write an honest review.

CWs and CNs at the end.

The third full novel in Author A. M. Rose’s beautiful *Inescapable* series is here and I blew through this in one go! This was such a fun read with some wonderful tonal shifts, a different set of characters and such a feel-good story that I so enjoyed.

Moving away from the world of politics and private security of the previous two books and novella we now focus on public figures who are more popular icons with Fire and Rio, the former a famous athlete and the latter a well-known social figure from a wealthy and prominent family. I LOVED their chemistry from the start and like all these books, the authors manage to create a fated mates plot where each character really has to work for it. And that is true in the most literal sense for Rio and Fire who couldn’t be more contrasting in personality. Their banter was off the charts, each seeing the other as a delightful challenge which made for some fantastic, witty dialogue, comical scenes and just a fresh, fast-paced early part of their courtship.

Of course, underneath the humour and banter, both MCs have some reconciling to do to move forward with their relationship. Fire has to learn the delicate balance of letting his body heal, even when all he wants to do is lose himself in flying, and Rio has to decide if he will challenge his controlling, superficial family to be with his mate. These scenes where both MCs are visibly struggling were written so beautifully and I shed so many tears watching both of them make hard decisions. It was so easy to see both sides and to root hard for not just their love story, but also for them to find happiness as individuals. As always, these stories are full of tenderness, whimsy and a healthy dose of angst. And the added witty banter and sharp dialogue just made it that much better. Their HEA was so well earned and I loved getting to know Fire and Rio and the assorted cast of side characters. 5 massive, fluffy stars for *Fire*! Be sure to grab this on 3/27 when it releases!

CWs: recovery from injury; mentions of the death of a parent (before book events); grief; toxic family members

CNs: This is an opposites-attract fantasy MM novel between two winged creatures (Kriila). Though it is a fated-mates story, it is not insta love. The novel is medium-heat and contains multiple on-page sex scenes. Thank you to the authors for the ARC and this is my voluntary review.

"The poshest, most pompous, most beautiful man he had ever come across...was his damn mate.

Figured."

Ever since that little sneak peak at the end of Still I have been dying for this book. It's the first time we have a book that isn't set around the original group of Krilla we've been introduced to so far. A few of the old MCs pop up in cameos, but most of the book takes place in a different setting. It was fun meeting new characters along with getting to know these new MCs. Fire was right in his assessment of his mate. Rio most definitely is posh...and pompous...and extremely easy to rile up. I couldn't stop laughing every time Fire was able to ruffle his mate's feathers, like when he decides to take him on a date that just so happens to be at a location his upper class mate wouldn't normally be caught dead in.

"First time here. He can't believe his luck. He loves gardens. And bugs. Can't get enough of them."

I think Fire was exactly what Rio needed in his life. He pushed him off his pedestal, introduced him to new experiences. Fire reminded Rio what real family was supposed to be like, not the cold and conditional experience he lived in with his grandparents. I did want to wack Rio upside the head at some points though. He has this mate who adores him, yet he can't seem to get out of his own way. Is living a manufactured and posh lifestyle really that much more alluring then the love of a true mate? Fortunately, Rio figures out that answer for himself, though not without some hurdles to fly over so to speak.

As with the previous book, we get a sneak peek at the end of this one into the next. I'm so excited who the next MC is going to be, though I thought for sure it was going to be another flyer we had met briefly named Zero. Our next MC seems like he's a bit of a spit fire from what we've seen of him so far. The book is another human/Krilla pairing and I cannot for the life of me remember if we've met this Krilla before or if he's someone new. I guess I'll figure it out when it's released!

**Possible Spoilers**
Fire is a terrific continuation of the Inescapable series. It had a little different feel than its predecessors, but it has the same quality and flow that I've come to appreciate in these authors. They know how to create exciting stories with vibrant characters that keep me returning for more. I love this series and its different personalities, especially this couple.
Fire is a down-to-earth guy to whom I can relate. (Not that I fly or anything. That'd be a whole different story.) He hasn't let fame change him and values the simple things in life. He is Rio's opposite in so many ways; it's hilarious.
Rio was almost too much for me to love, but the authors gave me pieces of him to handle, peruse, and decide that he is only what his life has made him and deserves love and compassion as much, or more, than anyone else in the book. His back story gives a good reason for his current persona. I would want to hug him if I thought he would let me (but we mustn't wrinkle the duds).
Fire's drive to return to racing before and after he met Rio was understandable and aggravating. It made for some lively training scenes.
Rio tested my good feelings for quite a while, but he wised up in the end, and it was fabulous, embarrassing, and hilarious. You have to love a well-done grand gesture.
They are both strong characters in totally different ways. They made me laugh, groan, cry, yell angrily, and fall in love.
Rio and Fire are a beautiful couple despite their differences. The sexy times are spicy, their emotional connection believable, and their HEA satisfying.
I look forward to more from this author.

Love the authors, unfortunately, didn’t love this one.

I can tell you the descriptions of wings and the settings as always were great and set the tone for a nice and easy opposites attract romance. I did like the depth of emotions that were described when exploring Fire and his past/present. I think as well the character development worked well with this especially when we get our happy ever after and the characters have grown.

I have to say though that even though I love these authors and the first two books and the novella in the series (especially the second one) will probably be my all time favourite fated mates books this one just didn’t hit the spot with they. Before, we explored how two people didn’t know what they were missing until they found it; compared to this the plot felt a little forced and I didn’t feel much chemistry between the main characters as most of the plot focused on a diamond shoes too tight angle (my personal opinion) which as a working class woman I couldn’t connect with at all and spent most of the book frustrated for Fire.

I did love the cameos of previous characters and thought they were incorporated well (especially seeing the novella couple again). I also liked seeing a wider world view and what more local life is like. I cannot wait to see where the series goes next as I love me a clueless cutie and an overprotective grump pairing.

3 stars from me.

Loving This Series And World

I seriously can’t get enough of this series. I half expected to be sick of the repetition or disappointed in the quality by book 3 (but really book 4 if you count Doc’s book as a fully fledged book and not a novella like I do) but instead I’m continuously surprised by this series and how good it is!

This book definitely felt less serious than the first two in the series but I still felt really drawn to Fire and Rio by the end of it. Their fated mates situation was so different from the other books because there was some insta lust which was immediately acted on, but the love and commitment came much later. I loved the entire journey that the two went on and found their dynamic really fun.

I was a bit worried at the beginning that I wouldn’t be able to stand Rio but he actually ended up being so charming and sweet. Once you got to know his whole backstory you could read much more into every harsh word or overly complimentary statement about himself. Fire was a lot of fun too and I enjoyed how he could have easily been a playboy adrenaline junkie but rather came across as a romantic, serious athlete.

I’m so excited for the next book but I am really sad it’s the last one!

Another five star read from AM Rose. While set in the Inescapable/Krillia world, Fire and Rio's journey takes place outside of the security world. Fire, the world championship racer, is not competing due to an injury so he is doing the pro athlete event schmoozing. At the latest event, he looks up and bam, there's his fated mate, Rio. And two more different fated mates do not exist. Rio with all his jewels, designer clothes, lives to be seen and envied. Fire, down to earth, part of a loving family, only wants to get back to racing. So their HEA journey is not easy, but so satisfactory. Because of his parents, Rio wants nothing to do with the racing world, his grandparents distant and cold. Rio has no real sense of who he is without all the trappings, so how can he live without them. But how can he live without Fire and his lovely family and friends. I love how James discovers who Rio is, how he falls for Rio a bit more at the Rec center. The "name" thing reflects who they are with each other, Fire wanting Rio to call him by his real name, Rio, thank goodness, wants James to use Rio (we shall not mention his real name!). We also get cameos from our other couples, particularly Doc and Bailey. We love Doc and Bailey! Our lovely Rose gives a sneak peek at their next couple, can't wait!

I love this world that A.M. Rose has created and they introduce us to amazing and entertaining characters with every new book. Fire appears in book three and now gets his own story and meets his mate who is extremely high maintenance. I thought I wouldn't like him just from the first scene but he's unintentionally funny and clearly has hidden depths that Fire brings out of him and shows to the world. They have a great chemistry from the moment they meet and bounce off of each other with their banter, Fire finding Rio's haughtiness endearing whilst Rio finds Fires lack of high end fashion or home decor horrifying.
It's also interesting being introduced to the world of racing, which is when the Kriila, beings with wings, race around tracks for championships. Fire became champion last year but is currently recovering from an injury to his wing. I love how Rio fits into this part of the story on quite an unexpected way, giving them something else to bond over other than their unexpected mating, coming from such different worlds.
An entertaining story that also has a big emotional element with Rio being pulled between two worlds - the rich and privileged world of his grandparents and the fast paced but loving world of Fire. So happy to know there will be another book coming too.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

3.5 stars.

This was written really well, and I enjoyed it. I did want more growth from Rio to happen sooner than the last chapter and epilogue. I felt he was very selfish and dense most of the book. He hurt Fire badly, and even though his apology was good, it wasn't enough for me to completely let go of the resentment I was holding. And I didn't really understand the correlation between him and his mom and his grandparents. His mom rejected her mate because she was selfish and wanted the money, so she married for money, but somehow her parents didn't approve of that either and disowned her, even though they wanted her to do just that? And it's not like Fire doesn't make money as one of the best professional racers, so it just seemed like a weak plot point that caused a lot of hurt.

I also wanted to see more of Fire and Rio actually together and not hurting each other or hiding their relationship. Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I just wish there had really been more romance, tbh. Vid's book looks to be pulling from the novella before this of Vid not recognizing his mate. I can't decide if I'm up for that trope again...but I'll give it a try. Honestly, the books are written well, but the storylines are where the negatives come in for me.

Perfect addition to this series. We met Fire in the last book, when he was injured. He is a racer, I'm still not really 100% sure what the racing involves. If it's just seeing who the fastest is in a straight line or if there are obstacles. There is talk about Fire not making any hard turns as his wing isn't 100% yet, but I just can't really picture the track in my minds eye. Rio broke my heart. His parents were fated mates, but his mother didn't want to live his father's life style so after she had Rio, she just left. He has never met her. He was raised by his grandparents who disowned his mother. Rio is the heir apparent, but he feels trapped. When he & Fire meet, they knew instantly that they are mates. I loved seeing the vulnerable side of Rio. For all his pomp & circumstance, he is just a scared individual who just wants to be loved. Fire gives him that. They did not have an easy go of their relationship, but eventually they do get the HEA. Though he did not get much page time, and he is rather aloof, I want to see more of Zero & hope he gets a book.

I received a copy of this book from the Authors, in exchange for an honest review.

Fire and Rio are as different as they come… and yet, they are perfect for each other
When racing hotshot Fire meets his mate, he is not what he was expecting… The prissy, fastidious young man is nothing like Fire… And yet, their attraction is undeniable, and they are a good team. But Rio has issues nobody knows about, and needs time to overcome them. Fire promises to wait, but waiting for too long may prove fatal for him…
So this was lots of fun. In the pure tradition of opposites attract, Río and Fire dynamics is as enticing as hilarious most of the time. It is an easy read with likeable characters, a fast pace, a little bit of anguish and lots of humour… Some scenes are memorable (the flea market scene had me laughing out loud). The world building is also great, though I recognise I did not read the first book, which would probably have been advisable, as I felt a bit lost sometimes. But it didn’t prevent me with falling for the characters and their story. My only regret is that I would have loved to continue reading…
Really entertaining

Fire was incredible! This series is amazing and I loved every minute of this story. Fire was not quite the character I was expecting. He was still a bit cocky and smug, but for the most part he really cared about Rio and wanted to build something strong together. These two may have become my favorite couple, though admittedly each couple is special, just for their banter alone. I love how these two push and pull against each other. Their verbal sparring is teasing and light. Fire isn't afraid to call Rio on some of his more high maintenance habits. Rio really broke my heart at one point but I understood that he was afraid of loosing not just material things but also his family. Rio's family isn't the greatest and you can see just how guarded he's become when he starts to let himself loosen up a bit with Fire. This was a really beautiful story with the perfectly Rio ending to top it off. I can't wait to see more from this universe as I've fallen under it's spell and don't want to leave!

Fated mates, opposites attract, snark and sarcasm.
Fire is a Krilla racer with a broken wing. Rio is the heir of wealthy family. They appear to have nothing in common—except for the fact that they’re mates. Fire is instantly drawn to Rio and wants to take him as his mate right away. Rio, on the surface at least, seems to look down at Fire for being “common” and a racer. But things aren’t always what they seem and there’s more to both men than meets the eye.
This is the third book in the Inescapable series and it doesn’t disappoint. The relationship between Fire and Rio is complicated. It took me a little while to warm up to Rio as a character because he seemed so shallow. As the story goes on, you get know the real Rio and you start rooting for him. Fire is gruff and grumpy, the perfect foil for Rio’s uptight nature. You really do feel for these two as they struggle to fulfill what their hearts want. I look forward to the next book. I definitely recommend this book and this series.

I love this series and I honestly didn't think it can get any better, but I guess I was wrong. This story has everything - depth, realism of interactions and feelings, humor...

Rio
Fire finally makes him feel like a person he never knew existed within flashy, demanding and narcissistic public persona which was somewhat forced and ingrained in him by his upbringing, but some parts are just him and that makes him even more entertaining - to the reader and definitely to Fire who can't get enough of him, accepts him for who he is, grounds him and sees beyond the facade like no one has before.

Fire
Top champion athlete adored by his fans and well loved by his family didn't really think something was missing in his life until he met his fated mate. But can two men that couldn't be more different make the relationship work? Is Rio willing to sacrifice the only life he knows as an adult and make a huge step into different direction?

The realism of feelings and personal insecurities, the little details of their interaction is making this book not just good but worth rereading.

This is the third book in the Inescapable series, but you can read this book as a standalone, although we meet Fire in an earlier book and a lot of the world building starts with the first book. Fire and Rio are fated mates, but they do not make much sense together in the beginning. Fire is self-assured, confident, and a little cocky, while Rio is snobby, fastidious, and a bit shallow. As I got to know Rio as a character, his personality and behavior started to make more sense. I really liked FIre’s character and I loved the story about his father and his contribution to the racing scene. As Rio and Fire’s relationship developed, I saw how well they fit together and their chemistry improved quite a lot, evolving into something real and passionate. I loved how Rio announced to the world how he felt about Fire; that was a good saving moment for him. All in all, it was a good book and a good continuation of this series. I can’t wait to read the next book in this interesting world.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Oh my goodness. This book…Fire and Rio may be mates, but their relationship takes work. Fire may be a famous racer but he is not deemed worth of the Carmichael heir. Rio wants both his mate and his grandparents but it quickly becomes evident that he probably can’t have both. He is going to have to make a choice…and that choice will rip out his heart no matter which way he goes. Fire just wants his mate but he can’t be a secret forever. These two were headed to inevitable heartache unless Rio realizes which one means more. This story broke my heart a bit, but like all AM arose books, it does have its happy ending. It really was good and definitely worth a read. These two characters prove that there is really only one right choice to make. And family is more than just blood relations.

I loved this story! Fire was healing after a racing accident when he was roped in to attending a charity party that turned into a life changing event when his mate sashayed into the room. One tryst later in the cloakroom and a relationship began. Rio was a high maintenance scion of society and was floored when he encountered Rio. The unlikely pair would undergo some very trying times but would their mating last? You really need to read and find out! This book will melt your heart and then some as the pair negotiate snooty grandparents, the dangers of racing, and a past that resembles the present. This book was so hard to put down and I highly encourage you to dive into the Kriila and human world and discover how really good the entire series is to read and enjoy! I can’t wait until the next book in the series. Now please!

I usually hesitate to jump into the middle of a series but I am so glad I did. This is book 3 set in a new world with characters that have wings and can fly. Some like Fire are fast and race for a living. When he’s injured, he’s sent by his agent to do PR at highly visible charity events. There, he meets his fated mate who first appears rather pompous but hides behind a tragic past. I loved both of these characters, and they had great chemistry. They are flawed yet strong, compassionate, and yearning for love. Their path to HEA is not easy, and it is so well written that I couldn’t put it down. While I enjoyed this book a lot as a stand-alone, I plan to read the other books in this series. Highly recommend!

Little disclaimer, I didn't realise this was part of a series until after I finished and went to see what else the author had written so you can definitely read it out of order and it makes sense.

Anyway, I really loved this book and found it a real page turned, stayed up until about 3 in the morning as I couldn't put it down and finished it in one go. A.M.Rose has a very engaging writing style and I really enjoyed the 2 main characters in the book and their relationship.

I can understand if people find Rio annoying, but I enjoyed his bratty high maintenance attitude. Fire was just a lovely well rounded character and I enjoyed their interactions and the sext scenes were good.

All in all I loved it and am going back to read the series in order now!.

Fire has a slightly different tone to the other books in the series, but at its core, it is still a snarky, swoony fated mates paranormal romance set in this amazing world. I adored the sweet and selfless Fire; he cares so much for Rio he’s even willing to give up his lifestyle. But Rio, he’s so much more than the entitled, self-absorbed brat that shows on the surface. He cares for his mate just as much, he just needs time and space to make his own choices, and to choose Fire for himself. There’s some angst, some pining, and a burning chemistry between two bright personalities. Although there is an aspect of insta-love, it is very much a slow burn in which Fire and Rio grow together and find their way to a well-deserved HEA.
