Baja: Heroes, Villains, and Everyone in Between
In this sexy, twisting thriller, Hil and Zack -- a beautiful woman and a man who knows better -- must escape a stalker whose fate is tied to their own. St John and Wagner play with conventions, leading readers in unexpected directions with a story that deftly weaves two tales of love, sex, greed, and betrayal. St John's distinctive art style perfectly matches the shadowy criminal world of Baja.

The artwork is the most definitive feature here, which has a consistent veneer of brooding darkness suffocating the action and the characters world. This obviously is an attempt at initiating a neo-noir environment with the usual pulp dispositions: the tragic stricken protagonist, disconnected from the world and thus connected to the criminal landscapes of the underworld, the reversion to the freedom of the road and succinct reflective sentiments about life. I suspect this would have a sufficient and rather large fan base if it were sought out by people who love reading these stories, but it just feels banal, with the usual sort of motifs which characterize the genre everywhere to be seen.

Ok story line. Quick read, more images than words.
Typical story of money scandal.

The artwork is the hardest part for me. I'm ok with simplistic art but this feels like it isn't finished and it made it a little tough for me.

Relato en plan hard-boiled donde la aparente persecución de una pareja por los páramos encierra una historia coral de engaños y manipulaciones. Entretenida,ágil y con un interesante aporte gráfico.

Sensational combination of word with art.
