Fearless: The definitive how to guide for finding your style, boosting your confidence and living your best life from fashion sensation Trinny Woodall.
Throughout my life, I have encountered fear and I know how much it has stopped me in my tracks. I want every woman to be able to move forward, to feel empowered at every stage of their lives. This manual includes all the advice you might expect. Whether you need help with how to dress, defining your style, finding out the colours that suit you or understanding the right beauty routine for the skin you have now, FEARLESS contains it all. But the most important thing that I have come to know is that life is not just about how we look – it’s about gaining the knowledge we need to navigate whatever life throws at us. So, I’ve included a life section to share what I’ve learned along the way, the everyday barriers that impact my confidence and how I feel. In each chapter I set you a practical challenge, because there is a big difference between reading and action – it is action that propels us and allows us to make positive change in your own life. To represent the different ages, shapes, styles and attitudes I cover, the inspiring Trinny Tribers from around the world have all come together to share too. I very much hope this book will help and inspire you. I look forward to sharing this new journey with you. We can all thrive and live fearlessly. With practical fashion, beauty, health, and life advice, everyone will be able to transform their self-confidence, to look and feel great in a holistic and inspiring, yet achievable way.
I’m glad I got the hardback version as there are lots of great photos. So many books like this just have coloured drawings. A tip I got from Trinny’s Fane interview is to remove the paper cover as the bright yellow hardback cover inside looks much nicer on a book shelf or coffee table. It covers a bit of everything but goes into a lot more depth on skincare and fashion as you might expect. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and no doubt I’ll come back to it again when I need a bit of inspiration or advice. On first read I particularly liked the detailed advice on skincare ingredients, the facial massage / exercise tips and the fashion non-essential essentials.
5 stars for Trinny herself, 3 stars for the actual book. It was strangely arranged. Why start with finding your colours for clothes and makeup right at the very beginning, then return to makeup half way through in the Beauty section. Odd. And starting the colour section with... Grey!? And it had a lot of photos of Trinny - I mean A LOT.
Maybe one day Trinny will write a memoir about her life and starting a business- that will be worth reading (although she has already shared so much about her life).
When I saw this book I thought “oh trinny has written a biography” but I was wrong, this is a book about fashion, skincare and makeup. I enjoyed the book, encouraged to be more fearless in my dressing I’ll take on board a few of her tips, especially about putting some colour back into my wardrobe after a few years of being overweight and not feeling like myself. The book contained Nice photos too. I do however wish that Trinny would write her biography, I realise her life has been covered in interviews but I haven’t listened to them, so a good biography would catch me up.
A book that looks good and is full of good advice and tips to follow along with!
I love the Trinny range of products so it was nice to see them all explained alongside tips on finding your colours on the clothes front, how to wear things, practical advice for shopping and decluttering, finding the right skincare regime for your skin and tons more of very wise advice. All alongside some fabulous colour photos making it easy on the eye too!!
I have been a big fan of Trinny's since her days of "What Not to Wear." She has a vast knowledge of fashion, beauty and skincare, which she shares in Fearless, with her usual passion and joie de vivre. She provides readers with an encyclopedic resource which makes for uplifting reading. It is packed full of motivational wisdom. A perfect gift for yourself or a fellow fashionista.
A lot of what is in here you might already know, if you read a lot about fashion/style, beauty etc. Re. the section on finding your colours, it’s the most diverse range of skin-tones I think I’ve ever seen in a beauty guide before. Also enjoyed the sections on colours & style personalities. The life section is useful too, with ideas on challenging yourself. Some great photos for inspiration.
Beautiful book cover and the pages are so pretty to look at. Again, you need a lot of time to flick back & forth as a lot of it you need to work out what colours suit you etc. It's a book I will come back to when I'm in the mood for rebranding myself 😂
This book is what I needed to look at my style, embrace it and honestly toss out whatever I don’t need, with tips, tricks and so many helpful breakdowns this book is what I wanted at time of purchase and more!
Oh Trinny, I used to love What Not to Wear. I even liked the book. This one just seemed to tackle too much. Fun for the outrageous fashions in her endless parade.
