4.000 years ago, Jeremy started a war. Now he has to finish it.
Laila and Jeremy only wanted normalcy for their family, but that’s all changed now that they remember their lives as gods. Especially now that Jeremy knows that when trying to save his wife and children, he started the war between the Fae and Angels, which is still going strong now, 4,000 years later.
Another pair of gods from their first life surface, telling Laila and Jeremy to clean up the mess he made all those years ago.
But the Fae Realm isn't the fairytale it used to be.
Their journey to destroy an Angel base in the Deep North is plagued by bloodshed, torture, and—worst of all—soul eaters. The only magic that can kill a god.
Who will they lose against their ancient enemies along the way?
Oh my LUX! This was soooooo good and I need the next in the series now. Not sure how my heart will cope with waiting. Jeremy and Laila have all their memories of the past lives as Nix and Vea, and in knowing their past lives it’s made them individually stronger yet together unstoppable. If possible I think their chemistry has grown even more and the spice levels are off the chart. This instalment has to be one of my favourites in the series, but I have a feeling every single one of my reviews states the same. I just can’t get enough of Charlies gritty, dark, realistic, heartfelt writing. The characters feel so real to me even though set in a fantasy setting. It’s ground breaking writing and so original and innovative. What I love most about that ending is there is so much more to come and I for one hope Charlie NEVER stops writing about these characters. Seeing where they are now has put me in the mood for a re-read. I feel there should be a gold star plus award you can give to certain books that just make you feel so much more than enjoying a fantastic, well written story. 5 out of 5 stars isn’t enough to express how much I enjoyed so I making my own score and this gets a gold star plus for sure.
If you had a question coming into this, you'll have the answer when you're done. Almost all of them. This was such a satisfying read. From what happened to the eternals that were not par animarium to what actually happened to Jeremy's dad. Micah has been such a focus throughout this series, it was nice to see Milly take the spotlight this time. The feels are real, oh so real. It's nice to know how and why the fighting started in the fae realm, and even better to see Jeremy and Laila step in to fix it. The cameo at the end was cool, and it's nice that we're finally starting to collect more of the par animarium. I did not want this book to end, then again I never really do. This world is so addictive!
I really enjoyed this book! I haven't read the others in the series yet but will be starting them immediately, I am a fan of Charlie's writing and you don't need to have read the previous ones to understand what was going on in this one. It has it all: epic fantasy, romance, action, suspense, steamy scenes and twists you dont see coming. Charlies writing allows you to immerse yourself into this magical world and not want to leave. The strong female characters are unapologeticly in charge and I love this, their partners are strong in their own right but recognise and are proud of the fact that the women are in charge. Charlie fits so much into this book that it satisfies a good book craving and I cannot wait to start this series from the beginning and work my way through them.
Such a good book! I love seeing how having their memories has awoken new things in J & L. As well as in the rest of them. This book was full of so much! I'm so excited to see where the story goes! We've come so far since The Last Beginning and I know there is still so much more to come
This book had me so enthralled that I didn't sleep for an entire night. I read and read until I got to the ending. And was instantly frustrated it was over. I need more! Eluding Destiny is one of my favorite series, and this book was no different. I was drawn in from the first sentence til the very last, and I'm already impatiently waiting the next one.
This is absolutely, hands down my favorite series by Charlie Nottingham. I love everything. The character arcs, the pacing, and the plot has made this, by far, my favorite series I have ever read. I feel genuinely connected and invested in the characters. I cannot wait for 15! Thank you for sharing this story with us!
I would re and re-read any and all of these books on a loop. Charlie's mind works in a way that is unparalleled, making for a world of books that never disappoint.
I never wanted this book to end. I’ve been so invested in Jeremy and Laila’s story since the first book. I’m already going to do a second read through already. I just can’t get enough!
OH MY GODS. This series is freaking amazing. we got SO many answers in this book. So many kick ass scenes. The spice was HOT. The characters are so bloody great. The plot is so complex, I love it so SO much. This is my favorite world. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. If I could only read one book series for the rest of my life it would be this one.
