Short, hot and sweet read. The title kinda threw me off and I almost skipped it but I’m glad I didn’t. I will say I was totally turned off and almost DNF because of him referencing the women in his past and how his size turned them off blah blah blah.. I don’t want to hear about his/her sexual pasts.

Me gustaron más los dos libros que he leído del spin off de esta serie, Thor’s Shipbuilding, protagonizados por los hermanos de Gunnar. De todas maneras, los libros son muy cortitos y se leen en un plis plas, así que seguiré con la serie.

This is my first Evie Mitchell book and I'm happy I found her. She reminds me a bit of Hope Ford whom I love. She has short hot reads that are perfect for a romance pick me up.
This is the insta-love story of Ella and Gunnar. I really liked how Ella was a successful businesswoman all on her own and she found this man who was her equal. I also really enjoyed how the author wound in these Viking and Thor elements into the story. I thought it was fun and made the "Thunder Thighs" title a little less grating to me. Believe me, it has a purpose! So please don't dismiss the book if you don't like the title.

While this could just be my total loathing of virgin trope books, it was also everything I dislike about the trope. He’s got the biggest peen ever of course, that other woman have run from (insert eye roll). When she finally has sex with him, she climaxes like 5 times and takes the condom off only to put another one immediately on. I'm sorry soreness anyone? UTI?
Then they have unprotected sex because she is on the pill. Still 24 hours since meeting him. Then while he is there for about a week he already knows he wants to marry her and "I wanted her bred".
While the scenes were hot and steamy the story itself was just a little over the top.

THUNDER THIGHS was a lot of fun and the perfect novella if you enjoy insta-love, lots of steam, and confident characters. When Gunnar Larsson strides into Ella Bronze's bar like a tall, blonde, Viking she's ready to give him anything he wants. And what Gunnar wants is Ella -- all night and maybe even for the rest of his life.
Both Ella and Gunnar were a delight to read about and while their fast paced romance is a bit over the top it was so enjoyable to read. My kindle almost caught fire with how hot these two were!
I especially loved Ella and it was so nice to read a book with a fat heroine who is confident, comfortable in her body, and not interested in changing for anyone. She might be a virgin but she knows what she wants and when Gunnar strolls into her bar she goes for it. As for Gunnar, he was charming, sexy, and ready to worship the ground that Ella walked on. How could you not love the man?
I can't wait to read more in this series!

Refreshingly Intelligent, Heartfelt, Sexy, & Giggle Inducing...
I read so many intensely dark romance books that I am rarely surprised anymore. So, imagine my shock when the sweet, contemporary romance that is "Thunder Thighs" not only surprised the hell out of me, but made me an instant fan of the author, Evie Mitchell!
Mitchell describes this BBW short as being an "over-the-top piece of fluff inspired by big thighs and sexy Vikings..." The description alone made me grin and led me to buy the book. I'm a old fashion Norse girl after all and always enjoy some sexy Viking in my day. However, what Mitchell failed to mention was how charmingly funny this story is in addition to being deliciously sexy.
Oh. My. Goodness. What a wonderful way to end my weekend!
This story is light-hearted, and deeply sentimental. It tugs at your sense of home and gives you the feels in all the right places. Ella and Gunnar are smart, sophisticated, and emotionally complex, a refreshing change from the normally shallow characters so often found in shorts like this. Mitchell gloriously writes Ella as a strong, independent business woman; intelligent and secure in her own skin and place in the world. Gunnar is every bit Ella's equal, co-owner of his family's ship building company; a towering specimen of Norse alpha male, strong, intelligent, and rooted in family. Both looking for their human "home". Gunnar and Ella are perfect for each other, and the God of Thunder and the universe are inclined to agree. Both plotting the course needed for the two of them to cross paths. And what follows is heartfelt, sexy, and giggle inducing.
I could honestly read a dozen books on these two characters alone (**hint, hint Evie Mitchel =D). It would also make my month to see an expanded, full novel length, version of this book. It would make my year to see this book and all the characters within turned into a full-fledged series, with Ella and Gunnar as the catalysts, then moving onto Eric, and so on, and so on, and so on...
THAT'S how much I enjoyed this story!

3 1/2 stars. For a debut novel I’ll give this writer props. It’s had decent flow and some steam. But there wasn’t much substance, which is expected when it’s under 80 pages. However that being said I enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to seeing what they put out next.

this was a quick love at first sight book, I needed something like it this week.
I enjoyed the book, but there were some aspects that just felt forced because it was so short. like yeah I get the whole love at first sight, so it's gonna be a quick one, but I think the plot (a rescue mission) was forced. I also think the set up for the second book was weird. seemed farfetched, again it's a love at first sight book so I'm sure many think THAT is farfetched lol, but the ending made me shake my head. lol
the romance was there, I felt like that was pretty good! I'd say it was like 3.5-4 spice. Mr. Larsson had a potty mouthhh lol
overall, it was a good book! would recommend it, I think I'll check out the following books!

4 PLUNDERING stars to this masterpiece! This is 71 pages of fluffy instalove. Which is usually a turn off & it did make it a little cheesy, but it worked here.
The FMC is plus-sized and her Viking ravished her body!!! I need a man like this 😭

August 9, 2021It's not something I'd normally read, that's why I'm not putting a rating. Also, it's mostly smut, and we do not judge people here.
I truly appreciated the plus-size heroine and the fact that she is comfortable with her body and understandably shy with her sexuality. I just wish it were explored in more detail. I guess insta-love is not really my cup of tea, I love some slow-burn in my couples, but I understand I won't be really getting it in a short form. There is also one twist that came out of absolutely nowhere, and that was a little bit confusing. In general, I can't say I connected with the characters or the setting as it is, so I don't think I'll be continuing the series nor exploring the genre in the nearest future. But it was a nice distraction.

Ella is so sweet, cute and amazing - I really liked all the back story with her and Ani - but I don't really care about Gunnar. There is nothing wrong with him, I just could not connect to him and it was difficult to be invested in the whole relationship.
Again, instant desire I get and that can develop into love, but I felt this book was more of the characters immediately falling for one another and it's not my kind of story.

This cover is in my head rent free. The introduction already had knowing I was going to have fun. Thick thighs really do save lives.
As a fellow thick-thighed curvy queen, I enjoyed this book. I won’t delve into too many details because I felt like it paralleled a lot about my own life and relationship (lmao). I will say this though, the story is short, but it sure as hell didn’t feel like two weeks once it said that much time passed.

Modern-day Viking!
If you wait all your life for a Viking you got it made when he does show up. I like the story because it's not a teenager she's not as skinny model and he's not a billionaire equal time for bigger girls. It's a short story but it's well worth it enjoy!

A new author and a lovely insta everything debut. I loved how Ella was so comfortable within her own skin and how Gunnar was too!.
Could see a series about this sweet town.
