A high school girl who can see the dead? What could go wrong?
Sequel to "Ghost Town"
Willow has been busy for the past year since she helped Jack cross over. Life has almost become normal, as normal as it can be when you are a clairvoyant teen who can talk to ghosts. But when a spirit who is soaking wet shows up at school, her peace begins to crumble. While she’s managed to hide her ability to see earthbound spirits from everyone but her boyfriend, Shane, and Gran, others are starting to notice and she's worried that the small amount of peace she's managed to find is in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, Shane asks her to help a friend whose house has a couple of unwanted guests that have no intentions of leaving. How can she help these earth bound spirits if they don't want any help?
Is it possible to help everyone and still hold on to her secret? How can she remain a normal teenage girl when she’s helping spirits who look like something from a horror movie and trying to unravel the mystery of who they are? She’s not sure, but no matter what she knows she has this ability for a reason and that’s to help the dead. But maybe, if she can learn to trust herself, she can help the living too.
As the youngest child, I always had to use my imagination to entertain myself while I grew up in the 1980's. That imagination served me well over the years and eventually made me a bit of a storyteller as I became an adult.
Getting lost in a good story has always been my favorite way to escape and I hope to create more worlds for others to escape to. I have a love for all things paranormal and strange, which I think translates into my stories. I also love nothing more than challenging the norms on occasion, so don't be surprised if you find characters that aren't what you would traditionally think in my worlds. No matter what, though, I want them to be relatable, even the villains. Because we are all the villain in someone else's story.

Such a Fun Mystery with a Creepier Storyline Parents: PG-PG13 this is acceptable for middle school on up Language: PG Violence: PG - normal to genre, nothing overly graphic Sexual content: PG - Really very clean so far, new relationship, kissing but nothing to warn of
So this review is going to mimic my review on book one a bit. Even though ghost stories aren't normally my thing and I really dislike the horror genre I really loved this story. In this one she has to deal with a ghost who keeps showing up as she died... very creepy drowned dripping lady - she also is helping her boyfriends friend who's house is haunted. So there are two mysteries going at the same time, one very cryptic and the other less creepy but not very forthcoming. It was a great mix and helped to keep it out of just the scary horror mystery realm. This series is a bit of a mix between the show Ghost Whisperer and the movie Ghost... this one had a lot more mystery which I loved. I'm hoping to see more books in this series. If it intrigues you then give it a shot, I really don't think you'll be disappointed.
The narrator does a great job, has good differentiations, and a pleasant voice.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
Audiobook: I enjoyed the 2nd book in the "Ghost Town" series. Willow was becoming more comfortable with her abilities, when a scary looking ghost showed up at her school. Willow faced more ghostly complications when Shane asked her to help a friend with some ghosts that refused to leave his home. The story was charming. Willow, her grandmother, and Shane were delightful characters. I appreciated the interesting mystery surrounding the scary ghost. Evah Hamilton's narration was fine, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
Well, now that I’ve read this book with its teaser at the end, I need ghost town 3. It’s been so interesting to read the process of the main character’s journey as she learns more and helps ghosts who linger because something ties them to their past. I recommend this author.
OMG!!! This book was fantastic!! I’m left with chills. Willow is really getting deep with her powers. She’s helping people with the help of her grandmother and Shane. I hope everything continues to work out and no one that knows turns on her or starts to mock her or let her secret out. None of that and I will be fine..
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
