When she has to convince the Alpha of Warden to pick her as his mate, she finds herself frustratingly captivated by the domineering male...whose language she doesn’t even speak--
THE SILVERS--
Rem Walker knows she’s doomed when she wakes with silver hair, blue eyes, and magic coursing through her veins...
Shifter wolves have labeled her kind as a Silver—a human kissed by the moon. The wolves will go to great lengths to have her, even abducting her from her family home. These Silver women will be of great use to their packs, especially to the unmated Alphas...
Rem never expects another to target her, though. On her forced journey to the wolves, an Elder Witch ensnares Rem in a binding death curse, threatening her younger brother as leverage. The only way to break free of the witch's demands is to convince Ronan, the Alpha of the Warden shifters, to choose her as his mate before he chooses another Silver. It should be easy, given how much the wolves desire the Silvers...
But Ronan is one of the most shrewd, domineering, and frustratingly handsome males Rem’s ever seen. How can she focus when she's in foreign lands, harboring dark secrets, and can't speak their language? With everything to prove—and everything to lose—Rem’s world hangs in the balance between betraying the ones she loves, or fighting for herself...
It would be so much easier to betray the Alpha if she didn’t enjoy his touch so much…

Plot 5/5 | Characters 5/5 | World building 5/5 | Romance 4/5 (slow burn)| Spice 4/5 ( more please!)
This book was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. This was my very first ARC from BookSirens* and I was excited and nervous for this read ( it's a long one folks). But as several nights past with my clock easily rolling past 2 am, and each time it was so hard to put this book down.
This novel was an epic PNR thriller/mystery/adventure that takes you into the world of Rem and Ronan, witches, plots, MORE PLOTS, scheming, shifters, betrayal and blackmail. Yes, it is possible to have it all. I won't rehash the plot because I really think this novel is worth the read. Mallory gave us an epic plot that is so well thought out from the tiny details to the grand plan. No detail was left unfinished. There wasn't enough foreshadowing to really guess what was going to happen so the reader what on their toes for most of this book, not sure what was lurking around the next corner. Very suspenseful indeed!
The characters were extremely well developed and even the most (seemingly) inconsequential characters had back stories, even if as the reader we don't know what they are. That just made everything more suspenseful, because it was hard to know what motivated each person. Rem, Ronan and Nia were easily the best. Rem and Ronan were such strong main characters who were true to themselves and didn't waiver on their fundamental values and that is what I really enjoyed. Family and loyalty above everything. I can't wait to see how Rem develops and hopefully becomes even stronger in the next novel. The romance was slow to develop and seemed more like a chemical attraction that anything else at the beginning and I am eager to see where it goes in the end. The spice which took all too long to get too (Mallroy, you tease!) was hot!! Ronan, YES PLEASE! This novel ended not entirely with a cliff hanger, but with the game board set up and ready to go. We know the players, we (sort of) know what is coming and how high the stakes are... now it is time to get ready for the show. I can't wait for the next book!
Overall, a fantastic read! If you like novels with epic world building, strong MCs, PNRs and suspenseful layered plots, this is the book for you.
* As mentioned before, I was provided a free ARC of this book from BookSirens and the author in exchange for my honest review*
WOW! What an amazing book, and a fantastic debut. Mallory has created a well-established story with great characters and a gripping plot. I found myself needing to find out what was happening in the next chapter, and it was one of those books that I hated having to put down, because I just wanted to continue reading. The characters were well developed over time. I had characters that I absolutely loved, and then had characters I despised, each one of them written greatly. I loved the plot, it was something that I haven't read before and it was refreshing to read something completely new and different.
The romance was at the right level. I do not like books that have a lot of graphic sex, and from the start. There was a good amount of heat and it was paced well. She has enough that you are not left wanting more, but just enough that you are playing the scene in your head.
I highly recommend this book, and I cannot wait to read the next in the series.
Rem is a Silver, a human with silver hair who has magical powers in her blood. The witches and hunters who protect her community from the threat of other paranormals, like the vampires and werewolves, alert her that her family needs to run, but Rem finds herself taken by the werewolves, along with her brother Oliver. To keep her brother safe, Rem will need to convince an Alpha named Ronan to mate with her, and she's cursed to silence about her situation. With the curse and a language barrier between herself and Ronan, she isn't sure she's up to the task - but when she begins to feel a bond growing between them, she realizes that the shifters who kidnapped her are conspiring against him.
I read a few drafts of this novel on Wattpad and absolutely loved it, so I was thrilled that this came out as a full book! This was a little bit of a slow burn, because Ronan is respectful and in control of himself, but the relationship is full of heat. I loved his concern for Rem, since he can tell something is wrong despite the language barrier. At first Rem was timid, but with time she finds her strength and makes a great match for Ronan. The world-building was really great, sort of an alternate history, and there's a complex relationship between the witches and werewolves with much more to explore in the series. Rem's powers as a Silver will also be interesting to see develop. I'm excited for the next book!
Wow! This book was amazing from the first page! I had such a difficult time putting it down! This thrilling paranormal romance had mystery, adventure, betrayal, blackmail, and shifters. The characters were well developed and the plot was fascinating! I can’t believe this was the author’s debut because it was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat and I devoured this book because it was so good! I can’t wait for the next book!
This was such a good read! I really enjoyed the level of creativity and well-written pace of this novel. The characters are well-written and developed, I loved watching them grow throughout the book. It was such a thrill with the romance, it was nicely done and I was so caught up in the book because I couldn't put it down! Definite must read.
THE SILVER ONES is the first book in The Silver Series and we learn about a world inhabited by shifters, hunters, vampires, witches, and the 'normal' folk. Except something has happened recently that means some of the normals have turned into Silvers. They have silver hair and their eyes changed colour. This marks them out from the crowd but no one knows why.
In Rem's village, the witches control everything. No one is taught how to read and write in case it gives them too many ideas. She is one of the newly changed Silvers and doesn't know what to do. The plans that were made were too late as Rem and her brother, Oliver, were kidnapped by shifters, and Rem was cursed by an Elder Witch. How will she protect her brother and break this curse?
I loved this story! It's a long one so I was able to fully immerse myself in it. I loved how the different factions were described, especially the shifters. I love that Finnish is their native language and the difficulties Rem has trying to learn it. As someone learning German, it was brilliant to read that she translated everything in her head first, instead of just being able to speak fluently within a couple of days!
Hold onto your hats though because it is Intrigue Central. There are so many twists and turns to hold your interest. Some are obvious, some are not; all are fantastic.
It is a slow burn for the majority of the story, with a steamy scene near the end. The connection between Ronan and Rem leaps off the pages though and I can't wait to see where their story takes them next.
A very different shifter story that stands out from the crowd. Highly recommended by me. ** same worded review will appear elsewhere **

I was amazed at how much I loved this book. I've read most if not all, of the best-selling werewolf romance genre in Kindle Unlimited- I've read literally over 1000 KU books in the last 6 years - and this is by far one of the very best.
Rem a regular girl that one day woke up as a "Silver", someone that can have werewolf babies that are immune to silver and stronger than normal wolves - even if she thinks wolves are savages and wants nothing to do with them - especially since they kidnapped her and are holding her brother hostage to make certain she's properly "motivated" to become the Silver that Alpha Ronan chooses as his mate.
Now all she has to do is make certain one of the other 12 Silvers doesn't get in her way, Ronan's she-wolf ex-girlfriend doesn't kill her, avoid the Alphas from other packs who may force her into being their mate - oh, and outwit the evil witch that cursed her and will murder her brother if she isn't made Luna of the right pack. No pressure at all. Easy right?
This ends in a cliffhanger but that only made me happy that the story is going to be continued.

So glad I gave this book a chance. I'm dying for the sequel now!!! I'll be pre-ordering that book! This is so different from other werewolf books and yet it fits so well in the genre. A genuine, new take. Love the smut scene, the tension is *chef's kiss*, the writing took me away to another world, and the characters... I can't believe this is a debut novel. It's a Slowburn, like a real Slowburn, but the chemistry is immediate. They just can't talk because of the language barrier, so the Slowburn makes a lot of sense when you read it. I can't recommend this book enough ❤️
Loved the heroism and female power in this book. I quickly became immersed in the fantastical environment and characters. Fab twists and turns and also some very steamy scenes to add spice to the writing. Really enjoyed and will be buying the sequels for sure!.

Women are unexpectedly waking up with silver hair and blue eyes- humans who have innate magic in their veins. A power that shifter wolves are hungry to utilize... to the point of abducting Rem from her home. Rem's life no longer matters when an Elder Witch ensnares her in a binding death curse, threatening the life of her younger brother. The only way to break the curse is to convince the Alpha of Warden to choose her as his mate before he chooses another Silver. The Alpha suspects things are not as they seem. When a romance starts to bud Rem is torn between loyalties, making life-threatening decisions while hoping to untangle herself from a web of pack betrayals. In the midst of the chaos... Rem can't stop asking: Why her? Why is she the chosen one to bear the curse? Why does the Elder Witch demand she mate Alpha Ronan? And why does she enjoy the touch of Ronan so much when she has to betray him? This book was a little bit of a slow start because the author was doing a lot of world and character building, which was great. I think it was a needed element to provide the details for the reader. It was a little annoying at times because so much was intentionally left up to speculation because of the Elder Witch and her plans. The idea was a different one than I have encountered before with humans who had wolf blood which was somehow activated. Each character is given a distinct and elaborate personality which engrosses you in the story. It quickly becomes obvious that some elaborate scheme is at play involving the Silvers, Rem in particular. The Silvers it turns out have a lot of power that a number of people want to manipulate in order to win an ongoing war between the humans and supernaturals. The romance element of the story is very slow and at times infuriatingly so. Rem and Ronan have a language barrier that makes conversation between the two impossible without a translator. Luckily, one becomes fast friends with Rem. Part of the curse keeps Rem from speaking about her problems or she will lose her voice. It honestly seemed like she could have risked it since they didn't speak the same language anyway. I realize she needed to build a relationship first though. The story picked up a lot towards the last 200 pages or so and we see a relationship actually developing between Rem and Ronan, but he is very reluctant to make her his Luna. The book ends without wrapping up the status of their relationship and with a lot of loose ends. I can't wait for the second one because I need to know what comes next, and now that the world building is out of the way, there should be more time for romance.
THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! I wasn't sure how I felt going into this book but I was quickly sucked in and I just HAD to know what happens. I'm not usually one for slow burns but this one is worth it. The chemistry between Rem and Ronan is *chef's kiss*. If you're into shifter romances, I guarantee you will love this book! I can't wait for the next one and to see what happens!!
Absolute phenomenal!!! As someone who was a teen during the the teen wolf, vampire diaries, superwholock era, I can definitively say… this is the best shifter book I have read…. Definitely a top 10 read for me this year. I am still reeling honestly… stop whatever you are doing and go read this right now!
I just finished and I'm absolutely ready to dive in to book 2, but it isn't out yet. But I will be patient, because great things take time.
I absolutely adored this book! Feisty, romantic, thrilling and exciting. The Silver Ones has everything you could want in a fantasy adventure and I could not put it down!
❤️🔥Slow burn romance ❤️🔥Shifters ❤️🔥Humans with special blood called silvers ❤️🔥Set up and betrayal ❤️🔥Found Family
Our FMC, Rem is fiery, sassy while also cautious and scared of the new life she is thrust into. Especially when her brothers well being is at stake if she fails to become the mate of the Alpha, Ronan. And she needs to become his Luna in order to help the Deacon and his family sabotage the alpha.
But when she begins to fall for and trust Ronan, she fights to figure her way around the curse that has been put on her tongue, forbidding the talk of her circumstances and the sabotage plan.
4.5 ⭐ rounded up The beginning was a little slow, and conversations felt a little awkward but that's normal for the first book in the series and these things improved so much as relationships developed.
Bewitching from the word go, with oodles of drama, conflict and fantastic characters. Rem's seemingly little life took a huge deviation that left her and her family off guard. However that was just the beginning, and now Rem is stuck in a proverbial rock and a hard spot with someone else calling the tune. Nevertheless she's definitely not the kind of doormat to just lay there.. Nope. She's the kind of heroine that's got tons of spirit.

First off, I was surprised at the number of errors considering the fact that this was a vella serial first. I've certainly seen worse but as it pulled me from the story, I felt it should be mentioned. The storyline was original, grabbed me, and pulled me through it. I truly didn't want to put it down. It was definitely a slow burn but that didn't lessen the intensity at all. I'm not sure why, but I have mixed feelings on the ending. That being said, I want the next book NOW. BookTok made me read it but KU let me.

OMG!! This book blew me away! Now, I normally don't read werewolf/shifter romances, but omg I am so glad I checked out this one. Charlotte, you did a fantastic job with this world, characters, everything!
I am so happy Ronan lived and that he will seemingly be choosing Rem as his mate. The chemistry between them is undeniable.
Rem is a character I love. She's witty, fiery, and an amazing sister to Oliver. I'm also glad Oliver made it, too. In a way, I see myself in Rem as she found her strength and confidence. I think of her coming more into herself as getting into her, what's called, her villain era.
Ronan is a hunk, let's just cut to the chase 😂. I do hope he makes it in the sequel. I was so afraid he wouldn't make it in this book. Thank you for sparing him! Lol.
With this book, you did what is real tough for me, brought out emotion as I read. I laughed, almost cried, smiled at the relationship between Rem and Oliver, especially when they were reunited. And as the enemies were revealed, like Rem, I wanted them to burn.
I am so damn proud of you, Charlotte. You deserve all the success in the world and I want this book to take off. It deserves it! Please, give yourself a pat on the back because you should be extremely proud of yourself too 🖤

I finished this book within a few days, and had life not demanded my attention I would have done NOTHING but read it from start to finish. I love the undercurrent message, that sometimes in life we are pulled to being stronger than we thought possible or the obstacles we have from being raised with so many restrictions. Then to attract a badass alpha as a result of coming into our own, yes thank you. Thank you and well done I can't wait to read the second one!
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

I wish that I could leave more than 5 stars. This was one of the best paranormal romance stories that I have read in a long time. I did not want to stop reading and am looking forward eagerly to the next book. A definite page turner loaded with steam, love, action and lots of betrayal. I like a story that let's you get some of the information but doesn't tell everything. Keeps you guessing and coming back for more. This is book 1 and I am hoping there are lots more books in this series. I highly recommend this book.
I received this book as an Arc and am leaving a review voluntarily.
A really enthralling and intriguing paranormal read that had great world building and interesting characters. You're drawn completely into this story with all its twists and turns and slow burn romance. Incredibly well written. Looking forward to reading more books in the series.

If your hair turns silver you will be hunted and used. One shifter alliance learns not all women that are Silvers will give in without a fight. Our Silver has to be blackmailed into compliance and fights to find a way to end the blackmail once she sees the Alpha isn't bad. There are language barriers to overcome and lots of learning to become a shifter. The Silvers are rescued from an evil queen and start a war while learning their new powerful abilities. Alphas band together instead of competing and it all shows one person in love can change the world if they are willing to fight.

This book had a good plot, good development on characters, as well as good develop in the world. I would've liked to seen a little bit more romance but that's just my preference. This book has a little bit of everything for the paranormal romance reader. Witches, shifters, blackmail and betrayal. As well as relatable characters did you just want to know more about.
I loved it!! I’m being stingy with my rating just because I feel like there’s still some untapped potential, and some refinement needed. A number of syntactical errors too. But the chemistry is there, the characters feel fleshed out and I really enjoyed the story. I felt immersed, I couldn’t wait for what was going to happen next! Could have been a bit faster paced or maybe some moments with faster and more explosive pacing, but overall I look forward to diving into the second installment!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I had the pleasure of reading an advanced copy of this book and I am so glad I did! This book was AMAZING. I enjoyed the writing and the story itself was so good. It didn't go the initial direction I thought it was going to go and I LOVED that.
This releases on October 23, 2022 and it will be available on Kindle Unlimited. I highly recommend adding this to your TBR for release. I am looking forward to the next installment!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Slow to start, but once it got rolling, it was gripping. Nicely developed world and characters. One of the best paranormal romance books I've read. Can't wait for book 2. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Wonderful paranormal story with action, betrayal, and war. The wolves have taken over lands since the purge of humans. There are special women known as Silvers. They are human yet have powerful shifter blood. The inmates Alphas have to pick a Silver as a mate. Ronan is the alpha of his pack. Unfortunately, part of his pack has betrayed their kind. Rem is a silver who was coerced and forcibly taken from her home and to do their bidding. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
When you are a compulsive reader of everything PNR and Fantasy, finding a debut novel capable of giving you a good plot, good characters and hooking you to the pages from chapter 1, you cannot stop reading until you get to the end. The Silver Ones is special, and I cannot wait for book 2

This is one of those books that you can’t put down. Wolves, kidnapping, blackmail, language differences, strong strapping shifter men, and hot relationships. The Silver Ones has a bit of everything.
The characters are especially intriguing. Rem is strong, but breaks down too. The Alpha is a perfect specimen. He is intense and just a bit scary too. There are other characters to love and hate as well.
I found myself continuously wondering what was next. I am thrilled that this is a series so I can continue reading this fascinating story. You can’t go wrong with this one!
Thank you to R&R Book Tours and the author for providing this ebook for me to read and review.
