Entertain like a queen with these forty recipes for Bridgerton-style food and drink in the first official cookbook from this hugely popular Shondaland series on Netflix.
Whether it’s a sumptuous lawn party, a high tea, or a boozy late-night salon, this gorgeous cookbook delivers recipes for finger food, cocktails, and entertaining ideas that help you recreate the high society of Bridgerton in your own home.
Host the perfect pique-nique, complete with the Duke’s favorite Gooseberry Hand Pies and a rousing game of Pall Mall (played the Bridgerton way, of course). Create grazing boards with recipes like Roasted Pork Belly Skewers and Beet-Dyed Deviled Eggs that are perfect for a stylish watching party. Evoke the delightful decadence of Lady Danbury’s Den of Iniquity with Sausage-Stuffed Mushroom Caps, an espresso martini, and an old-fashioned game of chance.
These forty recipes have been developed with a modern audience in mind, offering mocktail, vegetarian, and gluten-free options to ensure that no fan is left hungry. They are presented alongside mouth-watering food photography, stills from the show, and sidebars explaining essential expertise, such as how to address a Marquis, execute the perfect curtsy, or build a macaron tower sturdy enough to last the night.
I've never read a cook book cover to cover before, but this was nice. I'll definitely cook a few of these things for my Bridgerton watch party this May!
Great resource for event planning - specifically a Bridgerton event. I got several great ideas for Bridgerton at the Library :))))))))) However, i did have to knock off a star because it's literally canon at least two of them don't know how to turn on a stove (sorry to bring up stovegate lol)
Dear Gentle Reader, however can you expect to be the Diamond of the Season without knowing the difference between an Earl or a Viscount? Or how to prepare a cup of proper English tea? Never fear, dear reader, with this gorgeous collection of Regency Era recipes, etiquette, and crafts inspired by your favorite Bridgerton characters, you’ll be throwing the finest fetes the Ton has ever seen!
Not the correct ISBN for the volume I checked out from the library, but the only hardcover edition currently listed on Goodreads that I could find. (ISBN 978-0-593-79623-8) Like the official cookbook, pretty to look at but complicated recipes with ingredients I don't have on hand.
This book was a library borrow. I'm a huge Bridgerton fan so snapped it up. It has some lively images from the show and the images of all the food is delightful.
This was delightful, of course, and made me want to rewatch the whole series again. Like the show, this book was an escapist treat - and maybe I’ll actually make a few of these recipes soon!
A guide to hosting Regency era events inspired by the tv show “Bridgerton.” It has how tos, recipes, and bits about things like etiquette and dance cards. A fun book for any fan.
