One admonition that I take to heart in considering this attempt is not to think to highly of myself. This is of special concern to each of us who seek to delve deeper into prayer and spirituality. I have a deep and abiding concern to keep everything I do in proper perspective. Everything in our spiritual journeys should begin and end with humble and contrite focus on our Lord and Savior, and the service of others.
"This is the one I he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word." Isaiah 66:2 Throughout my own journey, I'm reminded over and over that I have a great deal to learn where humility is concerned. The amazing irony is that only a God of infinite love and mercy would bother to teach this lesson.
In considering where to begin with such a heady topic as prayer one must consider if anything meaningful can be contributed to the subject. Innumerable volumes have been written on the subject since the earliest Christian era. As of this writing, you’ll find nearly 99,000 books regarding prayer just on Amazon.com – now there's another on the way!
Apart from some really amazing words, this book clearly defined a "Revival of One." It simplifies the steps toward a Holy and Intimate prayer relationship with The Lord. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
