As the heir to the Weister House a certain amount of perfection has always been expected. And when it was not received, I was sent away. To learn my place, my position in this life. Now I've been called back. Demanded. It's time to take my place, do my duty.
Isabel
My father destroyed everything. My childhood. My life. My soul. He destroyed it without a second thought or care because it suited his needs. Now he stands before me with the rest of my life laid out, handing me over to another. An ancient family tradition that ties them together. A pact made in heaven... or hell.
Will they be able to break the bonds or are they stuck for better or worse?
Adina D. Grey is a USA Today and International Bestselling Author. She was born and raised in Italy so it's no surprise she has a huge addiction to coffee, dogs, and books.
Her book addiction and passion for travelling led her into the creative world of words where she writes, blogs, and beta reads. Her writing covers various sub genres and tropes but she's a sucker for a HEA, this is a cliffhanger free zone.
When she's not writing or reading you can find her entertaining her toddler and husband, and enjoying family life.
A fun story which was entertaining. Can the match your parents want be the perfect one for you?
After Nate and Isabel share a plane ride home together they’re thrown together in an arrangement marriage. Although the pair want to make their own choices this one could be the right one for them both.
Isabel and Nate's story will pull at your heartstrings. Their love in an arranged marriage is an emotional rollercoaster. They persevere. This is one book you will want to read!
Adina D. Grey's new book, "Swipe of Love", is a cute and quirky contemporary romance. It is subtitled as an 'arranged marriage story'.
Starting the story on an airplane flying from Melbourne to London, Isabel and Nate are returning home after years from home. Isabel is a lawyer who is returning home at the request of her father is hoping this isn't another stunt to continue control of her life. Nate is a military man returning home for a much needed vacation. Serendipitously, Isabel and Nate are seated next to each other on this flight home and both are intrigued by each other. After parting ways on the plane, both continue to their own homes. Later, Isabel, along with her father, attend a dinner at a family friend's house only to find that Nate is her best friend from childhood who she hadn't seen in 15 years.
I acquired this book as an ARC because I'm a happy member of Grey's ARC Tribe!
Rating on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being exceptional), this is how I rank the following aspects of "Swipe of Love": - Quality of writing: 9/10 - Pace: 9/10 - Plot development: 8/10 - Characters: 10/10 - Enjoyability: 9/10 - Ease of Reading: 10/10
In addition, I love the no-nonsense way Grey writes, there's no beating around the bush. I enjoyed this book from page one. I read it in one sitting and it is such a sweet love story. Isabel is a kicka$$ lawyer who is trying to help where she can. Nate is a handsome military man who seems like quite a catch, he definitely has an alpha personality without being a a$$hole. I love how Grey shows how friendships from childhood can stand the test of time even if it is 15 years since they'd last seen each other. Grey is also not afraid of writing steamy scenes that are drool-worthy.
I recommend this book to those who enjoy reading contemporary romances and military romances. Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. ☆☆☆☆
Swipe of Love was sweet, romantic and a story that will pull your heartstrings. What starts out as an arranged marriage, turns into so much more. I love the passion they have and how easy this story moves.
Modern day arranged marriage story. At first I wasn't sure how I'd feel but I quickly realised I couldn't stop reading. Nick and Isabel were absolutely made for each other. Their chemistry is something to hope for. It was a refreshing change to see that first loves no matter how young, and how much time apart, never truly leave our hearts.
What a delightful story. Filled with angst, love and all the feels that make you want to keep turning the pages till the end. Being called home from Australia, back to England, Isabel and Nathan grew up together but had not seen each other since they were very young. Not realizing that they sat next to each other on the flight from Australia, when they meet up again at Nate's fathers house for a meeting between their fathers, to say they were surprised (and secretly happy) is an understatement. The news that floors them both is that they had been promised in marriage from birth, and as tradition with Nate's family, they could not get out of the agreement. Between the two of them they decide to go ahead with the marriage and have it annulled 3 months later. This would have worked out if true feelings had not developed. They profess their love for each other on their wedding day. Nate is also in the forces and is commissioned to leave on a secret mission the day after the wedding. Trouble in paradise occurs when Nate is badly injured whilst away. He decides to push Izzy away as he thinks his injuries will impact him for life. He tells Izzy to file for divorce, as per their agreement. Does love prevail or does Izzy and Nate both end up with broken hearts. A true heart grabbing romance with an eventual HEA. Given an ARC to read and review. honest review written
Swipe of Love: An Arranged Marriage Story by Adina D. Grey is a heartwarming and romantic story about two childhood friends who are reunited after years apart and forced into an arranged marriage.
Isabel is a successful lawyer who has always been independent and self-sufficient. She has no interest in marriage, and she is determined to build her own life on her own terms. But her father has other plans for her future. An arranged marriage to Nate who Isabel hasn't seen in over a decade.
Isabel is hesitant at first, but she soon finds herself falling for Nate. He is kind, funny, and supportive, and he makes her feel loved and cherished. As they get to know each other, they realize that they have more in common than they thought. However, their relationship is not without its challenges. They have to overcome their families' expectations, their own doubts, and the challenges of living in a world where arranged marriages are not the norm.
The romance between Isabel and Nate was sweet. The beginning was a bit slow paced and IMO could have used a bit more conflict/ drama - My mood thing
Overall a heartwarming and uplifting tale of love, friendship, and family that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance and arranged marriage stories. The story is full of humor, heart, and romance.
Alepassionelibri 📚
Nathan and Isabel meet after 15 years after getting separated because of their fathers. Now after 15 years they meet and get to know their fathers have fixed their marriage without their consent following the family tradition and they can't say know. They love each other but the marriage was too much for Isabel as she feels that she's incapable of love and doesn't deserve to be loved. But Nathan is such a sweetheart. Both Nathan and Isabel have been through too much but they don't know that this marriage might just be the best thing that ever happened to them. The only thing lacking was the intensity of the emotions that the main characters portray. It didn't feel natural to me.
Swipe of Love by Adina Grey is a sweet story with a cute plot. Isabel Barlow and Nathan Weister are told by their parents that they are to be wed in an arranged marriage that is Nathan’s family tradition. The two hatch a plan to get married in order to satisfy their parents but then get the marriage annulled later. Soon the two develop real feelings for one another, but when Nathan is seriously injured, their happily ever after may be over.
The best part of this story for me is the characters. Isabel and Nathan are a couple with a history. I love how they meet again after years of being apart. Isabel is strong, and the way she stands up to Nathan’s father is outstanding. The ending is sweet and satisfying.
Let me know if you read Swipe of Love - I’d love to discuss.
Nate and Isabel grew up together but have not seen each other for years, until they are called home by their families, and informed they are to enter an arranged marriage as per his family’s tradition. They agree between themselves to a 3-month marriage and then get an annulment. But what will happen when feelings come into play? This is a well written emotional roller coaster story, which has angst, emotions, secrets, family, friendships, tradition, romance, heartbreak, and love, which leads to an entertaining and sweet story, which pulls at the heartstrings throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Family traditions, hidden rules & expectations. This was a first time read by this author and will definitely not be the last. This was an amazing read with a plot twist I didn’t expect. Isabel & Nathan grew up together, they were best friends and without knowing, their parents had already sealed their fate. Years later Isabel learned the truth and what her future entailed, she struggles with her feelings of excitement attraction and annoyance at not having a choice in her future. I adored this book!
I love this story. The copy I got was a rough draft that hadn’t been edited or proofread but it did not deter from this beautiful friendship story. Childhood best friends-sweethearts separated only to find they are betrothed was so shocking and karmic. I love as strangers that their attraction was so intense when they were really having an unknowingly reconciliation. I love the loyalty and passion these two displayed and how any relationship needs commitment. I recommend this love story to anyone who wants to smile and hug oneself.
Swipe of Love, Wow. What a book. I didn't expect that at all. I couldn't put book down once started. This was a first time I read a book from author Adina D. Grey but definitely not be the last. I loved Nate & Isabel story. The story is beautiful, childhood friends to lovers romance with all the emotions, amazing characters that makes for the perfect book! Definitely add this to your TBR! I would definitely recommend this book.
Libro magnifico super scorrevole e l'ho letto in un giorno, non riuscivo a staccare gli occhi dalle pagine. Mi sono innamorata da subito dei due personaggi Nate e Isabel.La scrittura è molto semplice e avvincente.
This was a sweet, military romance. Nate and Isabel are childhood friends. The parents arrange for them to get married. Then the unthinkable happens. Will Nate push Isabel away. Read it to find out.
This book is beautifully written with a perfect story line and characters. Isabelle & Nate were made for each other, and though many years had passed since they were last together, it proves that friendships and first loves can stand the test of time. The connection and chemistry was apparent from the start and the banter between these characters was hilarious. A great read that I highly recommend.
Tropes: Forced marriage, second chance, childhood friends, military romance, forced proximity

This story had me swooning from the first to the last page. I loved this story between Isabel ad Nathan and how it developed between two childhood friends that had lost touch and then reconnected very unexpectedly. Their instant connection and hysterical banter right from the start had me completely locked in.
The story is truly epic and I was one hundred percent sucked in once I started. I loved the connection between the characters. Isabel has a very loving heart, but damn does that girl have a determined fighting side that no man will ever want to cross. As the story continues the on-page chemistry only intensifies between the two MCs. The story is beautiful from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed each character, dynamic, and the storyline that was presented.
I strongly recommend this story if you love to laugh and fall in love with characters that are, without a doubt, meant to be.
